Read the instruction manual and the separately enclosed safety instructions very carefully before using this appliance. Keep these documents, including the warranty certificate, receipt and, if possible, the box with the inner packaging in a safe place. If you pass the appliance on to a third party, always include all the relevant documents.

Unpacking the Appliance

  1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
  2. Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
  3. Check the appliance for possible transport damage to avoid hazards. Do not operate a damaged appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
  4. There may still be dust or production residues on the appliance. We recommend that you clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning".

Warnings for the Use of the Appliance

• In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
- Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
- Only carry the appliance by the handle to avoid burns.
- The appliance must be set up so that it is at least 1 metre away from textiles, curtains and all flammable materials.
- The appliance shall not be put into operation if it shows visible signs of damage.

Connected Load

The appliance can take a power of 2000 W.

With this connected load, a separate supply line with a 16 A household circuit breaker is recommended.

CAUTION: Overload!

  • Do not use a multiple socket as this appliance is too powerful.
  • When using an extension cord, it must have a cable cross-section of at least 1.5 ~mm^2 . Cables with a smaller cross-section can overheat.
  • Do not connect any other high-power appliances to the same circuit.

Operation

Electrical Connection

  1. Make sure that the appliance voltage (see rating plate) and mains voltage match.
  2. Set the function switch to O.
  3. Unwind the mains cable completely.
  4. Only connect the mains plug to a correctly installed earthed socket.
  5. Ensure that the mains cable is laid in such a way that there is no risk of tripping.

Function Switch

O = Off
☀️ = Cool air
● = Hot air (1000 W)
● Hot air (2000 W)

Select the low level, e. g. for a small room. If this is not sufficient, switch to the high level.

Setting the Temperature

The thermostat constantly switches the fan heater on and off, thereby keeping the temperature at the desired level.

Set the desired temperature as followed:

  1. Set the temperature control to its highest setting.
  2. Once the desired temperature has been reached, slowly turn the temperature control back, until the fan heater

switches off audibly. The control lamp on the switch goes out.

  1. The fan heater will then keep the desired temperature level.

CAUTION:

When not using the appliance, disconnect the mains plug.

Cold Air Mode

If you want to use the appliance as a fan, set the function switch to the fan symbol and turn the temperature control to the highest position.

End Operation

If you want to stop operation, set the function switch to ○. The control lamp goes out. Then disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

Overheat Protection

The appliance features an overheat protection mechanism causing the appliance to switch off automatically in case of overheating.

  1. Switch the function switch to the position ○ and pull the mains plug out of the socket.
  2. Let the appliance cool down for approx. 10 minutes before using it again.
  3. If the overheat protection mechanism causes the appliance to switch off again after a short period, this might indicate a defect.

  4. Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains.

  5. Have the appliance checked by your dealer or our customer service.

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
- Wait until the appliance has cooled down completely!
- Never immerse the appliance in water for cleaning. This could lead to an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:

  • Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
  • Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.

  • Wipe the heater with a dry cloth to remove dust.
    • Stains can be removed with a moderately damp (not wet) cloth.

Dust on the Protective Grilles

Accumulation of dust on the protective grilles can lead to overheating.

  • Remove the dust by careful brushing.
    or

- Use the upholstery nozzle of your vacuum cleaner to remove the dust.

Storage

  • Let the appliance cool down before putting it away!
    • Wind the mains cable loosely.
    • We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a longer period of time.
    • Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place.
