OPERATION
- Remove the device from the packaging and peel off any labels.
- Wipe the waffle maker plates with a damp sponge or cloth and dry thoroughly afterwards.
- Place the appliance on a dry and flat surface.
- Make sure the power supply socket is nearby.
- Open the cover and apply a layer of vegetable oil or butter on the plates using kitchen towel or brush for dough. If necessary wipe off any excess oil.
- Close the cover and insert the plug into supply socket. Rotate the temperature adjustment knob. The red power light will go on.
- Preheat the waffle maker by rotating the temperature adjustment knob maximally right. The green ready light will go on, indicating that the waffle maker has begun preheating.
- It will take approximately 3 to 5 minutes to reach baking temperature. When the green light goes off, the waffle maker is ready for use.
Notes:
- It is normal for the green light to go on and off while the appliance is operating. It means that the waffle maker keeps the baking temperature.
-
Initially, the appliance may release an odor. This is a normal reaction caused by initial heating of the plates and should not reoccur.
-
Use the cool-touch handle to open the cover.
-
Pour the batter on the plates evenly so that the batter covers the peaks of the plates. Batter cannot pour out of the plate.
-
Close the cover.
-
It is recommended to bake the waffles for about 3 to 6 minutes; please remember though to adjust baking time to your preferences and batter type.
Notes:
- Set the temperature adjustment knob to your desired setting: low for light colored waffles and higher for darker and crisp waffles, min for warming waffles. At first, try a setting in the middle. You may later adjust it lower or higher according to your preference. Different waffle batters will also cook up differently.
-
Do not open for at least 1 12 minutes. Opening too soon will cause under-baked waffles to split, making them difficult to remove.
-
Open the cover and carefully remove your waffles with a wooden or plastic spatula.

WARNING:
-
Never use metal, sharp or coarse kitchen utensils as they can scratch the non-stick surface.
• Exercise caution as hot steam will escape when opening the cover or removing the waffles from the plate. -
If making more than one waffle repeat the baking process by adding more batter on to the plates. If needed, apply a thin layer of fat on the plates before adding batter.
- Once baking is finished, disconnect the plug from the mains socket, let the appliance cool down and clean it afterwards.
TIPS
- Do not over mix batter or waffles will be tough. Stir batter only until large lumps of dry ingredients disappear.
- The optimal amount of batter to produce a full-shaped waffle, without overflowing, will vary with different waffle batters. Pouring batter from a measuring cup will help you gauge how much batter to use each time. Fill bottom plate of waffle maker with enough batter to cover peak areas of the plate.
- To retain crispness, let the baked waffles cool on a wire rack to prevent steam from accumulating underneath.
- When serving several waffles at one time, keep waffles hot and crisp by placing on a rack in a preheated 100°C oven until ready to serve.
- Already cooled waffles can be re-warmed and re-crisped, individually, by returning to hot waffle maker. Set the temperature adjustment knob to low. Place waffle on plate so grooves match up; close the lid and heat for 1 to 2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Baked waffles freeze well. Cool completely on the wire rack. Store in a plastic freezer bag or in covered container, separating waffles with wax paper. Reheat frozen waffles in the toaster oven, oven or toaster until hot and crisp.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid or place in dishwasher.
- Brush away any loose crumbs from the grooves. Wipe plates with a paper towel, absorbing any oil or butter that might be down in the grooves of the plate. You can also wipe the plates with a damp cloth.
- Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth only.
- Do not clean the housing or the plates with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish or scratch the non-stick coating. A little metal polish suitable for stainless steel may be used occasionally on the top housing.
- Should any batter become baked onto the plates, pour a little cooking oil onto the hardened batter. Let sit 5 minutes to soften batter, then wipe off with a paper towel or soft cloth.
• Before storing the appliance make sure it is cool, clean and dry.
- To save some space during storing, wrap the power cord in the designated place at the bottom of the appliance.
• Make sure that while storing the appliance is disconnected from the power mains.
