Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new XXL SANDWICH TOASTER, hereafter referred to only as "the product".
You have chosen a high-quality product. The user manual forms an integral part of this product. It contains important information on safety, operation and disposal. Prior to operation of the product, familiarise yourself with the product and all operation and safety notes. For this purpose, carefully read the following operation instructions and safety notes.
Only use the product as described and for the applications stated. Keep this manual in a safe place. If you hand the product on to third parties, all documentation must be passed on as well.
Intended use
This product is designed for making sandwiches. Do not use the product for any other purpose.
This product is only intended for private household use, not for commercial purposes.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages caused by improper use.
- Scope of delivery
After unpacking the product, check if the delivery is complete and if all parts are in good condition. Remove all packaging materials before use.

In the case of damage resulting from non-compliance with these operating instructions the warranty claim becomes invalid! No liability is accepted for consequential damage! In the case of material damage or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions, no liability is accepted!
Children and persons with disabilities

Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. Always keep children away from the packaging material.
This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
■ Children shall not play with the product.
■ Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
Intended use
⚠ WARNING! Misuse may lead to injury. Use this product solely in accordance with these instructions. Do not attempt to modify the product in any way.
Electrical safety
⚠️ DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Never attempt to repair the product yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.
DANGER! Risk of burns!
During use the product gets hot. Do not touch the product while in use nor immediately after use.
The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the product is operating.
⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Never use a damaged product. Disconnect the product from the power supply and contact your retailer if it is damaged.
The product is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage.
The product is powered only after the on/off switch is moved to the ON position.
Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product's rating label.
- Regularly check the power plug and the power cord for damages. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
■ Protect the power cord against damages. Do not let it hang over sharp edges, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and open flames.
Operation
The product must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
- Do not move the product while it is in operation.
Do not place the product on hot plates (gas, electric, coal cooking range etc.). Operate the product on a level, stable, clean, heat-resistant and dry surface.
- Do not cover the product while it is in use or shortly after use, when it is still hot.
■ Make sure that the power cord is not pinched by the plates or touches the rim of the plates.
The use of extension cords is not recommended. If the use of an extension cord is necessary, it must be designed for a current flow of at least 10 A.
- Lay cords in such a way that they may not be tripped over or otherwise damaged.
The product is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
Cleaning and storage
⚠ WARNING! Risk of injury! Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning work and when not in use.
- Do not store the hot product in a cupboard or in the packaging.
- Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord.
■ Protect the product, its power cord and power plug against dust, direct sunlight, dripping and splashing water.
■ Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.
■ Protect the product against heat. Do not place the product close to open flames or heat sources such as stoves or heating appliances.
● First set-up of the product
● Unpacking the product and basic cleaning
- Take the product out of the packaging and remove all packaging materials and plastic wrappings.
- Check to make sure that all listed parts are included (see "Scope of delivery").
- Check whether the product and all parts are in good condition, if any damage or defect is detected, do not use the product, but follow the procedure described in chapter "Warranty".
- During production, parts are covered with a protective oil film. Before first use, operate the product without any food so that any potential residues evaporate.
- Before first use, clean all parts of the product as described in the chapter "Cleaning".
Operation
i INFO:
☐ The first few times the product is heated up, a faint odour may be present. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the area.
□ Discard the first set of sandwiches.
☐ The lock position 6 has 2 levels. The product can be adjusted to the different thickness of the food.
☐ The product can be used with bread slices with a maximum size of 120 × 120 mm.
- Switching the product on/off
i INFO: During operation, the green indicator 7 goes on and off from time to time. This indicates that the product is reheating up to the baking temperature.

Switching the product on: Connect the mains plug 4 to a suitable mains outlet. Move the on/off switch 5 to the ON position. The red indicator 8 lights up.

Switching the product off: Move the on/off switch 5 to the OFF position. The red indicator 8 goes off. Disconnect the mains plug 4 from the mains outlet.

● Preparing sandwiches
i INFO:
☐ Grease both heating plates 1 with a suitable cooking oil.
□ Keep the product locked while preheating.
☐ Do not overfill the product.
- Preheat until the green indicator 7 lights up.
- Push the lock 2. Open the product.
- Place the sandwiches on the lower heating plates 1. Sample recipes can be found in the following chapter.
- Close the product. Close the lock 2. The sandwiches are being baked now.
- Baking takes approx. 3–4 minutes. Lengthen or shorten the baking time to achieve the desired result. The sandwich is ideal when the toast is golden brown.
- When baking is complete: Move the on/off switch 5 to the OFF position. Disconnect the mains plug 4 from the mains outlet.
● Recipes
i INFO: The following recipes are designed for a baking time of 4 minutes.
- Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich
Ingredients:

| 20 ml Milk | |
Preparation:
- Preheat the product.
- Beat the egg, milk and pepper in a bowl until blended. Melt the butter in a cooking pan. Put the egg mixture into the pan and scramble it until thickened and cooked. The scrambled eggs are ready. Set aside.
- Spray the heating plates 1 with cooking spray.
- Put 2 slices of bread on lower heating plates 1. Top with scrambled eggs, cooked bacon and cheddar cheese.
- Top with remaining 2 slices of bread.
- Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.
● Grilled cheddar cheese sandwich with caramelised apple
Ingredients:

| 30 g Sugar | |
| 30 g Butter | |
| 1 pinch Cinnamon | |
| 1 Small apple (sliced) | |
| 4 slices Cheddar cheese |
Preparation:
- Preheat the product.
- Melt the butter in a non-stick cooking pan. Add the sugar and cinnamon and cook until the sugar dissolves. Add the sliced apples and cook for approx. 5 minutes until tender. The caramelised apples are now ready. Set aside for cooling down.
- Spray the heating plates 1 with cooking spray.
- Put 2 slices of bread on the lower heating plates 1. Top with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, caramelised apples, another 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
- Top with remaining 2 slices of bread.
- Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.
Turkey sandwich
Ingredients:

Preparation:
- Preheat the product.
- In a small bowl, mix the mustard mayonnaise. Spread on 1 side of each bread.
- Spray the heating plates 1 with cooking spray.
- Put 2 slices of bread (mustard mixture side up) on the lower heating plates 1. Top with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, tomato, roasted turkey breast, another tomato and another 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
- Top with remaining 2 slices of bread (mustard mixture side down).
- Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.
Tuna sandwich
Ingredients:

| 2 slices Cheddar cheese |
Preparation:
- Preheat the product.
- In a small bowl, mix the tuna and mayonnaise.
- Spray the heating plates 1 with cooking spray.

Put 2 slices of bread on the lower heating plates 1. Top with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, and tuna with mayonnaise.

Top with remaining 2 slices of bread.

Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.
Pudgy pie pizza sandwich
Ingredients:

| 130 g Shredded mozzarella cheese | |
| 40 ml Pizza sauce | |
| 8 slices Pepperoni | |
| 1 pinch Pepper (optional) | |
| 1 pinch Italian seasoning (optional) | |
Preparation:
- Preheat the product.
- Spread pizza sauce on 1 side of each bread.
- Spray the heating plates 1 with cooking spray.
- Put 2 slices of bread (pizza sauce side up) on the lower heating plates 1. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, pepper and Italian seasoning (optional) and more shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Top with remaining 2 slices of bread (pizza sauce side down).
- Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.
Avocado sandwich
Ingredients:

Preparation:
- Preheat the product.
- In a small bowl, mix the avocado, egg, lemon juice, black pepper and garlic salt.
- Spray the heating plates 1 with cooking spray.
- Put 2 slices of bread on lower heating plates 1. Top with avocado, egg filling.
- Top with remaining 2 slices of bread.
- Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.
- Cleaning
⚠️ DANGER! Risk of electric shock!
Before cleaning: Always disconnect the mains plug 4 from the mains outlet.
⚠️ DANGER! Risk of burns! Do not clean the product right after operation. Let the product cool down first.
WARNING!
Do not immerse the product's electrical components in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
- Do not allow water or other liquids to enter the interior of the product.
- Do not use abrasive, aggressive cleaning agents or hard brushes.
NOTE: Clean the product right after it has cooled. Once the food residues have dried, they are not easy to remove.

Storage
⚠️ DANGER! Risk of burns! Do not store the product right after operation. Let the product cool first.

☐ Store the product in the original packaging when it is not in use.
☐ Store the product at a dry location out of the reach of children.

- Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1-7: plastics/20-22: paper and fibreboard/80-98: composite materials.
Product:

The product and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility.
Dispose them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment.
The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.
Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.
Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.
The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
● Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your claim, observe the following instructions:
Make sure to have the original sales receipt and the item number (IAN 428598_2301) available as proof of purchase.
You can find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving on the product, on the front page of the user manual (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
If functional or other defects occur, contact the service department listed below either by telephone or by e-mail.
Once the product has been recorded as defective you can return it free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure to enclose the proof of purchase (sales receipt) and a short, written description outlining the details of the defect and when it occurred.
