How to turn on and off the Sogo SS-8390 speaker?

Press the power button located at the center of the buttons. A short press turns the device on or off.

How to pair the speaker with my phone?

Turn on the speaker: it automatically enters Bluetooth mode. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth, search for devices, and select SOGO SS-8390 or SOGO SS-8385. If a password is requested, enter 0000 or 1234.

How to use the FM radio?

Press the Mode button until you switch to FM mode. Press and hold the Play/Pause button (center button) for 2 seconds to start automatic station search. Press this button again to save a station.

How to charge the speaker?

Connect the provided micro USB cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a USB charger (5V). The LED indicator turns red during charging and turns off when charging is complete (2-3 hours). Turn off the speaker while charging.

What to do if the speaker does not turn on?

Make sure the battery is charged. Plug in the charger and wait a few minutes. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

Can I use the speaker while charging?

No, it is not recommended to use the speaker while charging as this may reduce battery life and damage the device. Turn it off before plugging in.

How to play music from a USB flash drive or TF card?

Insert the USB flash drive or Micro SD card (max 32 GB) into the corresponding port. The speaker will automatically play MP3 files. Use the + and - buttons to change tracks.

How to use the hands-free function?

During an incoming call, press the Play/Pause button once to answer. Press again to hang up. To reject a call, press and hold this button for 2 seconds.

Is the speaker waterproof?

No, it is not waterproof. Avoid any contact with water or moisture. Do not use near a water source.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Power Button:

This button is located in the center of the button panel. To turn on the speaker, press it, and the device will switch on. To turn off the speaker, press the same button again.

2. Mode Button:

This button allows you to change the speaker mode. When the speaker is turned on, it automatically enters the default mode, which is Bluetooth mode. To switch to any other available modes, such as FM, TF card, or USB mode, keep pressing the button until you find the desired mode.

3. “-” Sign Button (Previous Song (Short Press) / Reduce Volume (Long Press)):

In Bluetooth mode: With the help of the "-" button, you can reduce the volume as well as change to the previous songs in the playlist. Press the button to play the previous song; if you keep pressing it, it will keep changing songs backwards. To decrease the volume, press and hold the button for a longer time (long press).

In FM mode: This button can be used to change the FM channel in this mode.

4. Play/Pause button:

In Bluetooth mode: While the speaker is in Bluetooth mode, this button is used to play and pause the music.

This same button can be used to answer incoming calls and hang up calls. To answer a call, press it once; to hang up, press it again. You can also reject calls by pressing this button for 2 seconds.

In FM mode: While the speaker is in FM mode, this button helps to search for FM channels. Press this button for 2 seconds and the speaker automatically starts the process of auto-searching FM channels. Once you find the FM channels of your choice, you can save them by pressing the same button. With the help of this button, you can save multiple FM stations.

5. "+" Sign { Next Song (Short Press) / Volume Up (Long Press) }:

In Bluetooth mode: With the help of the "+" button, you can increase the volume as well as change to the next songs in the playlist. Press the button to play the next song; if you keep pressing it, it will keep changing songs. To increase the volume, press and hold the button for a longer time (long press).

In FM mode: This button can be used to change the FM channel in this mode.

6. LED Light Button

When switching on the speaker, the LED light automatically switches on. You can adjust the LED light colors by pressing this button; keep pressing until you get the desired color. The LED light keeps flashing while playing music.

7. TF/Micro SD Card Slot:

This device has a TF/Micro SD card slot. Simply insert the Micro SD card into the corresponding slot and the speaker will automatically start playing the playlist (in case MP3 files are stored).

8. USB Drive Port:

This device has a USB drive slot for USB drives. Simply insert the USB drive into the corresponding slot and the speaker will automatically start playing the playlist (in case MP3 files are stored).

9. Micro USB charging port:

This slot is used to charge the speaker. To charge it, insert the Micro USB end of the charging cable and connect the other USB side to the computer's USB slot or a USB wall adapter.

10. Aux Mode:

Plug in the 3.5mm Aux cable (included with the speaker) to the AUX hole. Connect the other end to your preferred music device.

CHARGING

This speaker is provided with a USB charging cable to charge the speaker via an integrated rechargeable battery. Before first use, make sure the unit is charged completely.

The battery cannot be removed or replaced, so to ensure optimal performance and battery life, always charge the battery prior to use.

To charge the Bluetooth speaker, connect the Micro USB end of the charging cable to the USB port of the speaker, which is located on the front side of the speaker. Connect the other end of the cable to your computer's USB port or an AC adapter (not included, but you can use your mobile charging adapter as well, or you can buy an adapter with 5V input).

The LED indicator will turn red while charging. Once fully charged, the red LED light will turn off.

Note: Make sure to switch off the speaker and not to use it while charging, as it leads the speaker to take more time in charging. Also avoid using the speaker while charging, as it can reduce the battery life.

PAIRING

Hold the power button to turn the speaker on. When the device is turned on, it automatically turns on in Bluetooth mode and a voice prompt will indicate that the speaker is ready for use.

Activate the Bluetooth mode of your mobile phone, laptop, or smart TV and search for nearby Bluetooth devices. Connect it with the Bluetooth pairing code: SOGO SS-8385 or SS-8390, which appears on your device.

Once connected, you will hear another voice prompt that your device has been connected successfully with the speaker and it is ready to use.

Just in case your device asks for a password, use "0000" or "1234" to complete the pairing process.

Note: Once your device is connected with the speaker, every time you turn on Bluetooth, your device will connect automatically with the speaker.

FM MODE:

Press the mode button to enter FM radio mode. Using the Play/Pause button, you can search for FM stations. Press this button for 2 seconds and the speaker automatically starts the process of auto-searching FM channels. Once you find FM channels of your choice, you can store them by pressing the same button. So with the help of this button, you can store multiple FM channels.

MICRO SD AND USB MODE:

Insert the Micro SD card or USB drive into their corresponding slots. Music will play automatically when there are MP3 files stored. Press and hold “+” and “-” for volume control, so with the help of these buttons you can increase and reduce the volume. These same “+” and “-” buttons can be used for track selection.

NOTE: The compatibility for Micro SD and USB drive is max 32GB.

Sleep Mode:

This device will enter into 'sleep mode' if it is not used or connected within 15 minutes after switching on. To reactivate the speaker once it enters sleep mode, press the power button again.

DISPOSAL OF BATTERY-OPERATED UNITS

Do not dispose of battery-operated units as normal rubbish. Always recycle them in a proper manner and according to local municipal laws. You can recycle them by taking them to government-authorized disposal centers or specialized bins which you can find in any nearby big supermarkets, electronics or electro-domestic products stores, or malls that have these types of facilities available.
