The appliance meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives.

The appliance is intended for in door use only.

CAUTION! The surface is hot during operation. Only touch the device at its handle.

Never operate the electric kettle without the lid closed and without lime filter, since then the device will not shut off automatically when the water boils.

ATTENTION! Always unplug appliance when not in use and before cleaning!
Operation
- Plug the power plug into the wall socket.
- Remove the electric kettle from the contact base.
- Open the lid of the removable kettle by pressing the button to open the lid.
NOTE
For your safety, the lid is equipped with a locking device. If the electric kettle is accidentally overturned during use, the lid will not open. This reduces the risk of being scalded by spilled water
- Fill the electric kettle with water.
- Close the lid manually.
Make Sure not to fill water past the maximum mar king on the water level indicator. -
Place the electric kettle anywhere on the contact base. The unit is now ready for operation.

To switch it on, press the ON/OFF switch on the bottom of the handle. The switch locks into place and the control lamp lights up.
- When the water boils, the electric kettle automatically switches off and the control lamp goes out.
- You can interrupt the boiling process at any time by pushing up the ON/OFF switch.
- To pour the water, lift the electric kettle from the contact base.
- IMPORTANT: Always make sure that the device is switched off before removing the electric kettle from the contact base.
NOTE
The electric kettle has a silicone cover over the spout, which serves as protection from dust and splashes. This cover must not be removed and does not hinder the liquid from being poured out.
Overheating protection device
The electric kettle is equipped with a doubleaction overheating protection device. In the event that you accidentally operate the electric kettle without water or if the water level is too low, causing the water to evaporate during boiling, the device will automatically switch off for your safety. The device will be ready to operate once it has been filled with cold water.
Cleaning
- The appliance must not be immersed in water! Do not clean the electric kettle with heavily abrasive cleaners. They could scratch the appliance.
- Clean very dirty appliances either with lukewarm water or with a stainless steel cleaner.
- If a stainless steel cleaner is used, make sure that it is not aggressive and does not contain chlorine or acids.
- Regularly remove the scale filter from its mounting on the inside of the water kettle and clean it with a soft brush and some washing-up liquid. Then fit it back in the mounting

- The kettle's inner limescale filter should also be cleaned regularly. To clean the limescale filter, you can fold it out to the side. Clean it with a soft brush and some washing-up liquid if necessary.
Care
- Use a special stainless steel care product for minor cleaning (water stains, light fingerprints, etc.)

CAUTION: Use only for the exterior! Do not use on surfaces that come into contact with food. (inside).
Decalcifying
If you have hard water, the electric kettle should be decalcified regularly (depending on the hardness of the water, about every 2-3 weeks). Use a commercially available liquid decalcifying product (do not use chemical decalcifiers) and follow the manufacturer's instructions. A limestone layer on the heating element prevents the optimum transfer of heat to the water, which in turn increases the boiling time, and might lead to the function stopping entirely. In addition this creates a louder noise during the boiling procedure.
When using a descaler, we recommend:

Tip: Mild calcium deposits can also be removed with a mixture of 5 to 6 tablespoons of vinegar in 0.5~l of water
Please observe the following when decalcifying the machine:
- First, pour cold water into the electric kettle (if the decalcifier foams excessively, use only 0.5l of water).
- Briefly bring it to a boil.
- Now, add the decalcifier and let the device stand for a while.
- CAUTION: Do not bring this mixture to a boil. After decalcifying, rinse the pot twice with clear water.
- Do not clean the electric kettle with heavily abrasive cleaners. They could scratch the appliance
NOTE
The calcium content of water varies from region to region. Please consult your local water works or utility works for information on water hardness. Descale more often it you have hard water, less often it you have soft water
- In the event of malfunctions due to calcium deposits, the guarantee will be voided!
