SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER

• The appliance may be used only for its intended purpose.
• Before plugging in the appliance, check that the current and power match those given on the rating plates.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. If the appliance or plug should accidentally become wet, disconnect the power immediately and have the appliance checked by an electrician before using it again. Never attempt to open the appliance yourself.
• Be careful, the top grill will become very hot during use.
• Do not use the appliance with wet hands, on a damp floor or when the appliance itself is wet.
• Do not touch the plug with wet or tamp hands.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
• Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or otherwise damaged or if the cable or plug are damaged. In the case of damage, contact our customer support department or take the appliance to an electrical repair shop

for examination and repair if necessary.

• Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
• Do not allow the cable to hang over sharp edges and keep it well away from hot objects and naked flames (e.g. Gas oven). Remove the plug from socket only by pulling on the plug, never on the cord.
• Set the appliance on a firm, level and heatproof surface away from naked flames.
• This appliance is not suitable for commercial use.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.
• Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
• Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use, and each time before it is cleaned.
• Never use the cable to carry the appliance.
• Do not use bread slices which are wrapped in aluminum or plastic foil.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote control system.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• The bread can ignite, so do not toast bread for too long as it may burn and cause a fire. Do not position the device beneath a curtain, wall cabinets or combustible materials.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. In case of the cord be damaged, it must be replaced only by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid Hazard.
• WARNING: To avoid overheating, do not cover the appliance.
• Do not use or store the appliance outside.
• If any of the covers of the appliance is broken, immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
• The temperature of accessible surfaces can be high when the appliance is in use.
• Place the appliance on a horizontal, flat and stable surface.
• Make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate matches the voltage of the main wall outlet before plugging in the appliance.
• Connect the appliance to an earth connection supporting a minimum of 10 amperes.

• Do not move the appliance while it is in use.

• Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces, such as hot plates, gas burners, ovens or the like.

• Do not store or transport the appliance if it is still hot.
• Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.
• This Appliance is intended to be used in household and similar application such as:
• Staff kitchen area in shops, offices and other working environments;
• Farm Houses;
• By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
• Bed and breakfast type environments.

CAUTION: HOT SURFACE

• The toaster grill may reach a high temperature when the appliance is operating. The temperature of the metal panels on the main body can also get hot.

• The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.

OPERATION

Caution: Bread can burn; never use the toaster near or underneath curtains or other flammable materials.

Never touch the top grill during operation. It becomes very hot when the appliance is in use.

HOW TO USE THE TOASTER

Before the first use
- Before the first use operates the toaster once on maximum heat without using any bread to clean the heating elements. Thereafter your toaster is ready to be used.

TOAST BREAD

• Open the bread holders (3), and insert the slice of bread into the toaster. Connect the toaster to the socket. Switch On.
• Toast the bread on one or both sides. After a few minutes, disconnect the plug from the socket. If you wish to toast the bread on both sides, turn the slice over and repeat the process.
• To remove the toast or turn it around, do not use metal objects. Use the tongs supplied by the manufacturer.
• Toasting may be interrupted at any moment by unplugging the appliance from the socket.

CRUMB REMOVAL

• Crumbs should be removed regularly After the use, disconnect the cable and let the toaster cool down for 10 - 15 minutes. Then turn the toaster upside down so that all the crumbs can come out.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the appliance before using it for the first time, immediately after each use and after not using it for a long period of time.
- Before cleaning the toaster, check that it is disconnected from the mains and wait until it is completely cold.
- Clean the outside of the housing with a moist cloth. Do not use aggressive chemicals or abrasives.
- The unit does not contain parts serviceable by you, do not disassemble it and do not attempt to repair yourself.
- In the case of questions or problems, turn to customer support department.

WARNING

• Do not use solvents, or products with an acidic or base pH, such as bleach, or abrasive products, to clean the appliance.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.
  It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly and remove any remaining food.
