How to turn on the TB128 tablet?

Press the Power key located on the physical keyboard.

How long should I charge the battery before first use?

It is recommended to charge the tablet for approximately 24 hours before first use.

Where are the SIM card and microSD card slots located?

They are located inside the battery compartment. You must remove the battery cover and the battery itself to access them.

How to reset the tablet if it freezes?

Use the reset button located on the device (item 11 on the diagram). Insert a paperclip or thin object into the hole.

Does the tablet have a flash for the camera?

Yes, an LED flash is integrated on the back for the 8-megapixel camera.

Can I use the tablet without the battery, plugged into the power outlet?

It is not recommended to operate the device without a battery. Always use the battery and charge it via the DC-IN port or docking station.

How do I know when the battery is fully charged?

The LED near the keyboard lights up solid green when charging is complete. While charging, it is red.

What should I do if the keyboard is not responding?

Check that the tablet is on. You can also press the Virtual keyboard on/off key (key 5) to activate the virtual keyboard if the physical one is faulty.

How to take a photo with the barcode scanner?

The barcode scanner is dedicated to reading codes. To take a photo, use the camera app and press the on-screen shutter button or the Optical scan key (depending on configuration).

Where can I find optional accessories like the docking station?

Contact your Unitech representative or check the official website for compatible accessories, including the docking station.

3 Getting Started

Installing the Battery

1. Using a proper tool (ex. a coin) to loosen the two screws on the battery cover by turning counterclockwise.

2. Put battery into battery compartment and put back cover.

3. Lock the two screws on the battery cover by turning clockwise.

NOTE: After installing the battery, make sure the battery cover is securely closed, or you may be unable to turn ON the terminal.

WARNING! There is a risk of fire and burns if the battery pack is handled improperly. DO NOT disassemble, crush, puncture, short external contacts, or dispose the battery pack in fire or water. DO NOT attempt to open or service the battery pack. Dispose of used batteries according to local recycling guidelines in your area.

Charging the Battery

Connect TB128 to the charger, it will be charged automatically.

1. Plug the power adapter into the DC-IN port at the bottom.

1. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. If needed, attach a plug converter onto the power adapter.

Turning on the terminal for the first time

After you have initially charged your device for about 24 hours, the device is ready to be used. You can now start up your device. You can then set up the languages, WiFi setting, and date and time.

Power-On Button

Turn ON your device by pressing the power button 📄 on the physical keyboard.

Checking the Battery Status

To check the battery level and to access the battery usage menu

1. From your Home screen, tap

Using the SD/SIM Card

The TB128 has SD/SIM card slots inside the battery compartment.

Inserting a SD/SIM Card

1. Using a proper tool (ex. a coin) to loosen the two screws on the battery cover by turning counterclockwise.

2. Remove the back cover and pull the battery out.

3. Now you can access the micro SD card slot and SIM card slot.

Removing the SD/SIM Card

1. Using a proper tool (ex. a coin) to loosen the two screws on the battery cover by turning counterclockwise.
2. Remove the battery cover and the main battery.
3. Press the card in and release. The card pops out.
4. Remove the card from the slot.
5. Put the battery back into the battery cover.
6. Replace the battery cover.
7. To tighten the two screws on the battery cover by turning clockwise.
