How to install the docking station drivers?

First, connect the docking station to your computer. Then download the driver from the official product page: www.delock.com/produkte/G_87771/treiber.html. Run the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions. A restart may be required.

Why is the external display not showing?

Check that the driver is properly installed. Make sure the HDMI cable is connected and the display is on. On Windows, right-click on the desktop and select Display settings to detect the display. On Mac, go to System Preferences > Displays.

Can I use the docking station with a Mac?

Yes, it is compatible with Mac OS 10.15.5 or later. After installing the driver, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy and check DisplayLinkUserAgent if necessary.

How to configure display mode (mirror or extended)?

On Windows: right-click on the desktop, choose Display settings then select the desired mode from the dropdown. On Mac: System Preferences > Displays and choose the arrangement. Note: on Windows, only one screen can be mirrored, the second is extended.

Does the docking station charge my laptop?

No, this docking station does not provide charging for the computer. It requires an external power supply of 5V/4A (included) to power its ports. The USB ports can charge peripherals (including one port with BC1.2).

Can I connect USB 3.0 devices?

Yes, the station has 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (formerly USB 3.0) on the front, supporting USB 3.0 devices. The 4 USB 2.0 ports on the back are limited to 480 Mbps.

How to connect a microphone or speakers?

Connect your microphone to the 3.5 mm jack labeled microphone (input) and your speakers to the stereo speaker jack (output). The audio ports are located on the front of the station.

The Ethernet network is not working, what to do?

Make sure the RJ45 cable is properly connected. Check your computer's network settings. The station supports 10/100/1000 Mbps automatically. If the problem persists, restart the station and the computer.

What is the maximum supported resolution?

With a single display: up to 2560 x 1440 @ 50 Hz. With two displays simultaneously: up to 2048 x 1152 @ 60 Hz. Resolution depends on the system and monitor used.

Description

This docking station by Delock can be connected to a computer with a USB-C™ or USB Type-A port and provides a variety of interfaces. Two monitors can be operated simultaneously at the HDMI output ports. Four built-in USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports allow the use of peripherals, and connections for microphone and speaker and Gigabit network complete the features.

Full-HD resolution

Full-HD (1080p) resolution is possible when using only one monitor and also when using both HDMI outputs at the same time.

Driver Installation

1. Switch on your computer.
2. Connect the docking station to an available USB port of your computer.
3. Download the driver from the product page: https://www.delock.com/produkte/G_87771/treiber.html.
4. Follow the instructions of the driver installation.
5. The driver will now be installed.
6. Click on "Finish".
7. Your computer will ask to reboot. Click "Yes" to restart the computer.
8. After restart you can start using the device immediately.

Configuration

1. Network connection: Supports 10/100/1000 Mbps and can be used immediately.
2. USB ports: You can now connect your devices to these 6 ports.

3. Audio ports: You can connect your headset and your speakers to the audio ports.

4. HDMI ports: You can set the additional displays on mirroring or extended. In order to change the setting, proceed like this:

Windows: Click with the right mouse button on the desktop and click on "display settings".

Afterwards you can change the graphics settings.

Mac: Open the System Preferences > Displays.

It can happen that the security settings need to be changed. Therefore go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy and set the hook on "DisplayLinkUserAgent".

Note

Under Windows only one display can be mirrored, the second one is extended.
