    • To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
  • The iron should always be turned to "min", before plugging or unplugging from outlet. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
  • Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool completely before putting away. Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
    • Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when filling with water or emptying and when not in use.
  • Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or

damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron. Take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.

- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.

- Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down – there may be hot water in the reservoir.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

When using the iron for the first time, you may notice a slight emission of smoke and hear some sounds made by the expanding plastics.

This is quite normal and it stops after a short time. We also recommend passing the iron over an ordinary cloth before using it for the first time.

SUGGESTIONS BEFORE USING THE IRON FOR THE FIRST TIME

  1. Certain parts of the iron have been lightly greased therefore the iron could give off a little smoke when plugged in for the first time. This will cease after a short while.
  2. Before using the iron for the first time, remove the plastic protector

from the base (if it has one) clean the base with a soft cloth.

  1. Keep the base very smooth. Do not run it over metal objects (such as against the ironing board, buttons, zips, etc.)
  2. Pure wool fibers (100% wool) can be ironed with the appliance in the steam position by preference, select a high steam position and use a dry ironing cloth.

To use:

Dual Voltage:

NOTE: A plug adaptor is necessary for the Power Cord when traveling to a country where the current is NOT 220V-240V. Use the "100-127V" position to operate the product in those countries.

Burst of steam

Shot of steam give extra steam for removing persistent wrinkles.

  1. Place the temperature selector at the "max" position and wait until the indicator light goes out.

  2. Wait for a few seconds for the steam to penetrate the fibre before pressing again.

NOTE: For the best steam quality, do not use more than three successive bursts each time. Several pumping actions are needed to start this function. Excessive use of this feature will cause the iron to cool, ensure that the pilot light is out, before. For optimal result, keep 5 seconds rest between the use of the steam button.

To prevent leaking water from the soleplate do not press the steam button continuously for more than 5 seconds.

Also allow at least one minute interval before applying the

burst of steam function.

Ironing Tips

• To avoid fabric damage, ensure the Temperature Control Dial is set according to the care label on the garment or item to be ironed.

• Refer to the garment label for the fibre content and set the temperature Control Dial to the lowest temperature setting recommended for the fabric.

- Begin ironing with those garments/fabrics requiring a lower temperature setting (i.e., silk) followed by those requiring a higher temperature setting (i.e., wool, cotton, and linen).

- If unsure of the temperature setting for a fabric, test the iron on a small concealed area (i.e., an inside scam or inside hem of the garment) before press ironing. Gradually increase the Temperature Dial setting until you obtain the desired ironing effect.

- When possible, use a press cloth or turn fabrics inside out to iron. This will help to prevent the fabric taking a shiny appearance after ironing. A press cloth should also be used when ironing over abrasive objects (i.e., buttons or zippers).

- For press ironing techniques, either place and reposition the Soleplate while applying pressure to the fabric or lightly move the Soleplate across the fabric.

- Use care when ironing around plastic buttons or zippers, as these may melt.

- Avoid tipping the product upside down or backwards, as water may spill from the Water Tank.

Care and Cleaning

CAUTION: Turn the Temperature Control Dial to the "MIN" (OFF) Position. Unplug the product from the electrical outlet and allow the product to completely cool before cleaning it. Wipe the outside and the Soleplate of the product with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or pads to clean the product.

To prevent scratching of the Soleplate, do not allow the product to come into contact with abrasive objects (i.e., zippers, buttons, etc.) while ironing. You may wish to cover these items with a press cloth before ironing.

To store the product

a. Ensure the Temperature Control Dial is set to the "MIN" (OFF) position.

b. Unplug the product from the electrical outlet and allow the product to completely cool.

c. Remove the Water Tank from the product and empty the remaining water into a sink. Reattach the Water Tank to the-product when it is empty.

d. If desired, collapse the Handle for storage or packing:

I. Press the Handle Release Button.

II. Press down on the Handle until its end clicks into place under the Release Latch.

III. To release the Handle, slide the Handle Storage Release Latch backwards.

Note: If the fiber is adhered to the soleplate, use a damp cloth with vinegar to wipe off the soleplate.

Note: If the scale blocks the steam hole, please remove the scale with toothpick; do not damage the surface of soleplate.
