Pair of 4 Ohm 120W (60W RMS) Hi-fi speakers from the Irradio Deep Sound professional line. Hi-fi high quality both in the home and for commercial uses such as: classrooms, shops, restaurants, conferences and wherever a clear and qualitative sound reproduction is required.

The components choice and the constructive study together with the finely tuned crossover return the singing voice with clear and crystalline trebles and a natural and highly resonant bass.

The 1 "- 25.4 mm silk dome tweeter guarantees clear treble up to 20KHz and the 6.5" - 165 mm Kevlar woofer cone with phase reducer, ensures the quality of reproduction of the mid-low frequencies with great spatial effect.

The cabinet design is always important for the aesthetics and performance of a Hi-fi speaker, which is why the Irradio speakers of the Deep Sound Line offer a refined and elegant finish suitable for multiple contexts, both residential and professional, without sacrificing power and the definition of sound.

Important requirements for the product safe use

• Before proceeding with the installation of the speakers, read this manual completely and carefully follow the instructions; also keep it in case of future needs.
• The speakers installation must be carried out by specialized and competent technical personnel; incorrect installation can result in a drop in performance, in possible damage to the speakers themselves and the devices connected to them, up to the risk for the safety of the surrounding people.
• The speakers installation must take place on a flat and stable surface, capable of withstanding a weight at least three times greater.
• If necessary, secure the speakers to the surface with suitable devices, such as double-sided adhesive strips, cords or chains.
• If the product is to be installed suspended, through the use of special supports sold separately, check the correct installation of the support as well, as well as the use of all safety devices necessary to prevent injury to third parties in the event of an accidental fall.
• The input signal cable cannot itself be considered a safety device in case of accidental fall, since the connector does not ensure sufficient restraint.
• The wiring must be connected in a stable manner and it must be ensured that the individual cables cannot be accidentally disconnected.
• Check that the wiring does not constitute an obstacle or danger for people and / or animals in the surrounding environment: they must therefore be secured along the corners of floors and walls, they must not cross floors and must not be passed under carpets and mats, where they can cause swelling that are difficult to see and therefore dangerous.
• Avoid any installation that exposes the diffusers to direct sunlight, even through glass, or along the thermal flows of radiators, radiators, stoves and / or fans.
• Carefully check that the output power and impedance data of the amplifier are consistent with the technical data below: in the event of large differences, the product may suffer irreversible damage and the safety requirement may be compromised.
• Periodically check the integrity of the speakers: in case of smoke emission, bad smell, unusual noises or in case of deformation, overheating, structural damage or opening of

holes previously not present, immediately suspend use and consult specialized technical personnel.

• Do not turn up the volume too much during use, especially if for a prolonged period of time: exposure to strong acoustic pressures can result in damage, sometimes permanent, to the hearing system. Therefore, avoid placing the speakers too close to the user.
• Do not disassemble the speakers for any reason: any investigations or repairs in the event of a malfunction must be carried out by specialized technical personnel.
• Keep away from children, animals and / or people with reduced physical, cognitive or motor capacity: in case of use by the latter, adequate supervision must be guaranteed.
• Do not expose the speakers to water or other liquids; therefore avoid installations near tanks, pipes, taps, downspouts, full containers, swimming pools, aquariums, valves, air conditioning units, etc.
• Avoid use in environments that are too humid, dusty, saturated with water vapor, gases, vapors of various kinds or inside environments containing flammable and / or explosive material.
• Avoid in any way any type of contact with the moving surfaces of the loudspeakers (cone and domes): any deformation of them will lead to significant worsening of performance.

Position

The speakers positioning is essential for the correct reconstruction of the acoustic image, both in stereo systems and in the case of a cinema effect; refer to the previous safety indications also with regard to this topic.

The ideal height is that of the listener's ear, therefore, in standard situations, with listening from sofas or armchairs, it is between 1.20 and 1.50 m. The speakers must be oriented in front of the listener slightly converging, at a mutual distance approximately double that of the listener: a distance of at least 50 cm in all directions from the surrounding walls is appropriate. In any case, improper positioning does not compromise the operation or safety of the speakers, but compromises, in some cases significantly, their performance.

Electrical connections

After installation, in compliance with the safety criteria listed above, proceed to connect the signal from the amplifier.

1. Check that the amplifier is turned off.
2. Verify that the amplifier's impedance and output power are correct for the speakers.
3. Use specific cable for 14AWG ∅ 1.62mm bipolar speakers for connecting the amplifier signal outputs to the speaker terminals.

4. Do not exceed the length of 10m each for the wiring; longer wiring will result in a significant drop in performance of both the speakers and the amplifier.

5. Respect the polarity of the amplifier terminals with that of the speakers as shown in the diagram opposite (generally red with red and black with black). Installation with the wrong polarity will result in a significant drop in performance.

1. Unscrew the cylindrical clamps until the circular hole is completely uncovered, then strip each of the two poles of the signal cable coming from the amplifier for a length of 1.5 - 2 cm, pass the stripped part through the hole and tighten with decision, but without exceeding, the clamps. Alternatively, it is possible to use ∅ 4 mm banana connectors to terminate the wiring, which must be inserted in the appropriate holes at the top of the terminals.

2. Once the connections are completed, check that the cables have been completely inserted and that there are no metal parts of the respective conductors that put the two terminals in contact: this circumstance will result in a strong compromise in performance and a high risk of damaging the amplifier. (Short circuit).

Cleaning and maintenance

The speakers do not require any maintenance. For their cleaning, avoid too aggressive or abrasive substances: use a damp cloth gently rubbed on the surfaces after disconnecting the signal connection, avoiding in any way contact with the speaker cones and domes: any accumulation of dust on the latter they can be removed with extreme delicacy using a brush or a soft bristle toothbrush, considering that any deformation will inevitably affect the acoustic performance.

Wait for the speakers to dry completely before reconnecting and putting them back into service.

Product warranty

Melchioni S.p.A., based in Milan (Italy), via Colletta 37, recognizes a conventional guarantee on the product for a period of two years from the date of the first purchase by the consumer. This guarantee does not affect the validity of the legislation in force concerning consumer goods (Legislative Decree 6 September 2005 n. 206 art. 128 and following), of which the consumer remains the owner. This guarantee applies to the entire territory of the European Union.

The components or parts that are found to be defective for ascertained manufacturing causes will be repaired or replaced free of charge through the dealer, during the above warranty period. Melchioni S.p.A. reserves the right to make a complete replacement of the device, if repairability is impossible or excessively expensive, with another device of similar

characteristics (Legislative Decree 6 September 2005 no. 206 art. 130) during the warranty period. In this case, the validity of the warranty remains that of the original purchase: the service provided under warranty does not extend the warranty period.

In any case, this appliance will not be considered defective in terms of materials or manufacture should it be adapted, changed or adjusted, in order to comply with national or local safety and / or technical standards, in force in a country other than that for which it is was originally designed and manufactured. This appliance has been designed and built for domestic use only: any other use will invalidate the benefits of the guarantee.

The warranty does not cover:

• parts subject to wear or tear, nor those parts that require periodic replacement and / or maintenance
  • professional use of the product
• malfunctions or any defects due to incorrect installation, configuration, software / BIOS / firmware update not performed by authorized Melchioni S.p.A.
  • repairs or interventions carried out by persons not authorized by Mechioni S.p.A.
• manipulation of assembly components or, where applicable, of the software
  • defects caused by fall or transport, lightning, voltage fluctuations, liquid infiltration, opening of the appliance, bad weather, fire, public disturbances, inadequate ventilation or incorrect power supply
• any accessories, for example: boxes, bags, batteries, etc. used with this product
  • home interventions for convenience checks or presumed defects

The recognition of the guarantee by Melchioni S.p.A. is subject to the presentation of a tax document that proves the actual date of purchase. The same must not show any tampering or deletions, in the presence of which Melchioni S.p.A. reserves the right to refuse the provision of treatment under warranty.

The warranty will not be recognized if the serial number or model of the appliance is non-existent, abraded or modified.

This warranty does not include any right to compensation for direct or indirect damage, of any nature, to people or things, caused by any inefficiency of the appliance. Any extensions, promises or services in this regard, insured by the retailer, will be borne by the latter.

Product disposal

According to Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 4 July 2012, on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), the presence of the crossed-out bin symbol indicates that this appliance is not to be considered as urban waste: its disposal must therefore be carried out by separate collection.

Disposal in a non-separate manner may constitute a potential harm to the environment and health. This product can be returned to the distributor when purchasing a new device. Improper disposal of the appliance constitutes misconduct and is subject to sanctions by the Public Security Authority. For further information, contact the local administration responsible for environmental matters.
