Frequently Asked Questions - Lavazza A Modo Mio RI9575 SAECO

How to prepare coffee with my Saeco Lavazza A Modo Mio RI9575 machine?
Make sure the machine is ready (lights steady). Lift the lid, insert a Lavazza A Modo Mio pod, close. Pull the loading lever forward until it locks. Place a cup under the dispenser and press the coffee dispensing switch/button. To stop, press again and return the lever to rest position.
What to do if the machine does not start?
Check that the machine is plugged in and the main switch is set to I. Wait a few minutes for the light to come on. If nothing happens, contact the authorized Saeco service center.
How to descale the Saeco Lavazza A Modo Mio RI9575 machine?
Use Saeco descaling product. Pour half the bottle into the water tank, fill with fresh water to the MAX mark. Follow the dispensing steps via the steam/hot water nozzle, alternating cycles and pauses of 15-20 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
Why does the coffee flow too quickly and without crema?
This may be due to a used pod. Return the lever to rest position and insert a new Lavazza A Modo Mio pod. Also ensure that the hydraulic circuit is primed.
How to clean the steam/hot water nozzle?
After each use, dispense steam with no milk for a few seconds. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. If clogged, use a needle to unblock the hole (machine off and button closed).
What to do if the loading lever does not reach the dispensing position?
Check that the used pod drawer is not full. If so, empty it. If the problem persists, repeat the loading sequence or manually intervene (machine unplugged) to unload the pod.
How to prime the hydraulic circuit?
Fill the water tank. Place a container under the steam/hot water nozzle, open the knob. Press the coffee dispensing switch/button until a steady stream of water flows. Close the knob and wait until the lights are steady.
How to use the steam function for cappuccino?
Press the steam switch/button and wait for it to be steady. Immerse the nozzle in cold milk (preferably semi-skimmed), slowly open the steam knob. Make slow movements to froth. Close the knob and press the steam button again to return to coffee mode.
Can I reuse Lavazza A Modo Mio pods?
No, pods are designed for single use. Do not reuse, as this would cause malfunction and coffee without crema.
How to adjust the programmed coffee dose (Premium model)?
To modify the dose, perform the free dose dispensing steps. Press and hold the measured dose button until the desired amount (between 25 and 200 ml) is reached. Release the button to save the new dose.

The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on the appliance or its packaging indicates that the product must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its operational life. The user must therefore take the appliance to be disposed of to an appropriate separate collection centre for electronic and electrotechnical equipment or take it to the dealer when buying a new appliance of the equivalent kind (one by one). Appropriate separate collection for the dismantled appliance being subsequently sent out for recycling, treatment and for environmentally friendly disposal, contribute to the prevention of possible negative effects on the environment and on human health, and encourage recycling of the materials the appliance is made of. Specific administrative sanctions provided for by current regulations will be applied for illicit disposal of the product by the user.
