My iPhone detects the WiFi network of the ZTE U30 Air but cannot access the Internet. How can I resolve this issue?
Frequently Asked Questions - 01/06/2026
Response Notice-Facile

Basic checks: First, make sure that a valid and activated nano-SIM is inserted into the ZTE U30 Air router. Without a SIM, the device cannot establish a 4G LTE connection, so no Internet is available to share over WiFi. Also, check that WiFi is enabled on the router and that you are using the correct password from the back label.

WiFi band compatibility: The U30 Air operates by default on 5GHz only and cannot enable both bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz) at the same time. If your iPhone is having trouble connecting to the 5GHz network, switch to 2.4GHz by holding the WiFi button for about 3 seconds. A blue LED indicates that the 2.4GHz network is active, while a white LED means that the 5GHz is active. You can also access the web management panel (IP address on the back label) in WiFi > WiFi Settings to switch to 2.4GHz mode.

Network coverage check: Place the router in an area with good 4G LTE reception. A weak or absent signal will prevent the device from maintaining a stable Internet connection. The network status LED (numbered 6) should display a solid color (blue for 4G/3G, white for 5G). If the LED is red or off, the device has no cellular connection.

Router Internet connection check: Wait 2 to 3 minutes after powering on for the router to establish the 4G LTE connection. Then log in to the web interface (IP address visible on the router label) with the provided password. Check that the WAN/Internet connection status is active and that the LTE connection is established. If this connection is not active, the router cannot share Internet over WiFi.

Connection limit: The U30 Air supports up to 10 devices simultaneously. If you already have 10 devices connected, your iPhone cannot access the network. Disconnect at least one device and try again. You can also check the list of connected devices in the web interface.

Advanced troubleshooting: If the problem persists after these checks, restart the router by holding the Power button for 3 seconds, then turning it back on. Test the connection with another device (smartphone, tablet) to confirm whether the issue is with your iPhone or the router. If only your iPhone is having a problem, forget and reconnect to the WiFi network in the settings. Finally, check with your carrier that the nano-SIM is not blocked and confirm the APN settings if you are changing carriers.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)

Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines. These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organization ICNIRP and include safety margins designed to assure the protection of all persons, regardless of age and health.

The guidelines use a unit of measurement known as Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2 W/kg and the highest SAR value for this device when tested at the body was 1.656 W/kg* with 5 mm distance.

As SAR is measured utilizing the device's highest transmitting power, the actual SAR of this device while operating is typically below that indicated above. This is due to automatic changes to the power level of the device to ensure it only uses the minimum power required to communicate with the network.

* The tests are carried out in accordance with EN 50566, EN 62209-2 and EN 50663.

Specification

This radio equipment operates with the following frequency bands and maximum radio-frequency power.
