1 Preface
First of all we wish to thank you for the trust you placed in us by selecting a VERMEIREN product.
Thank you for your trust in the products of Vermeiren. To support you on the use of these ramps and their operating options, this manual is offered. Please read it carefully; it will help you to get familiar with the operation, capabilities and limitations of your ramps.
If you still have questions after reading this manual, do not hesitate to contact your specialist dealer. He/she will be glad to help you.

2 Before use
2.1 Upon delivery
Unpack your product and verify if the delivery is complete. Following items should be included:

- Transport bags (2x)
Instruction manual
Verify your product for transport damage. If you find any damages after delivery, contact the transporter.
2.2 Intended use
- The ramps are designed and produced solely to be used as transport aid for wheelchairs and scooters with a total mass of up to 150 kg per ramp.
The ramps are meant to be used as a pair. - The warranty on this product is based on normal use and maintenance as described in this manual. Damage to your product caused by improper use or lack of maintenance will cause the warranty to lapse.
2.3 Safety instructions

CAUTION
Risk of injuries
Please read and follow the instructions in this manual. Otherwise you may get injured, or your ramps and wheelchair/ scooter may get damaged.
- Do not use a wheelchair or scooter on the ramps while the user is seated in it.
- Do not exceed the maximum load of the ramps.
- Do not exceed the rated slope of the wheelchair or scooter.
- Do not drive over the lateral edge; risk of tipping over.
- When transporting the ramps, make sure that they are stored in a separate luggage compartment; risk of injury.
- Place the ramps on equal surfaces; both ramps must have the same inclination.
- Pay attention to the track width of the wheelchair; all wheels must be touching the ramps during transport. Do not place the ramps too far apart. Make sure that the ramps are placed parallel to each other.
- Do not use for permanent installation.
- Make sure that the wheelchair or scooter tyres have enough grip on the ramp surface. Before use, check the non-slip surface of the ramps, the condition and wear of the tyres and clean if necessary (e.g. wetness, mud, ...).
3 Using the ramps

Keep fingers, buckles, jewellery and clothes away from the hinges.
3.1 Unfolding
- Unfold the ramp.
- Place the non-slip overlap entirely on the upper surface to be overcome. Make sure that the ramp is stable.
- Repeat for the second ramp. Make sure that the ramps are installed close to each other.


3.2 Folding
- Fold the ramp using the handles.
3.3 Transport
Carry the ramp by the handles, or transport them using the transport bags. Store the ramps in a clean and dry place.
4 Maintenance

Regular care ensures that your ramps are preserved in a perfectly functional condition.
4.1 Cleaning
Use a soapy solution for cleaning. The cleaning liquid should in any case have a pH
value of at least 6. Observe the instructions of the cleaning liquid used. Do not use a cleaning agent which contains solvents, as this could alter or dissolve the plastic parts.
4.2 Inspection / Service / Repairs
We recommend to have your product inspected at least once a year, but the service frequency depends on the frequency and intensity of use. Consult your specialist dealer to make an agreement on service frequency.
Repairs and replacements may only be undertaken by trained persons, and only genuine replacement parts of Vermeiren should be used. Do not hesitate to use the services offered by your specialist dealer. He/she will be glad to assist you regarding any service and repairs.
Before you resume use of the ramps, they should be inspected on following points:
- Folding mechanism: functioning well.
Frame (deformation)
Non-slip surface: unworn, clean.
