  • Use heat-proof or wooden spatulas with the product to prevent damage to the grill plates nonstick coating. Make sure that the spatulas used do not have any pointy or sharp edges.

  • The grill plate and other product parts become very hot. Let the product cool down well before cleaning or storing.

Before first time use

Carefully take the product and its accessories out of the original packaging. Retain the original packaging in case you would like to store the product away or transport it at a later date. If you choose to dispose of the original packaging, then please do so according to the applicable legal regulations.

Check the packaging contents for completeness and damages. Should the contents in the packaging not be complete or be damaged, do not use the product. Return it to your retail outlet immediately.

Cleaning and care.

During manufacturing, parts of the product are coated with a thin oil film for their protection.

To remove this production residue, run the product for approx. 10 minutes without foodstuffs. Make sure there is sufficient ventilation as a slight odor and some smoke may occur. This is harmless and will disappear shortly.

Use

Caution

The product will become very hot during operation. Therefore, place the product on a fireproof surface. The surface must be level and slip-resistant.

Fig. 1 Select the desired side and place the grill plate on the device. Place the stone plate on the device next to the grill plate with the fat groove facing upwards. The grill plate is suitable for grilling, the stone plate is suitable for roasting.

Note

The stone plate may change its color slightly over time. This is normal and does not affect functionality

Note

Remember that cooking results will be better if the product is preheated first. Consider, that it takes longer to pre-heat the stone plate.

Caution

The grill plate and parts below will become very hot during operation.

Fig. 5 Adjust the grill temperature. Preheat for approx. 15 minutes.. The temperature control lamp lights up green while it is heating up and turns off when the set temperature is reached.

Hints

  • Do not fry or grill ingredients that can easily burn.
  • Cut meat or sausages into small pieces or slices.
  • Turn the food to be grilled regularly with a wooden or plastic spatula. Do not use metal cutlery. This could damage the non-stick coating of the grill plate and the pans.

Note

  • During the grilling process, the temperature control light turns on and off from time to time. This indicates that the heating element is switched on and off to maintain the set temperature.
  • Monitor the cooking process now and then. The cooking time depends on the type of food and on your personal taste. Before eating, make sure, that the food is fully cooked.

Caution

If you want to use the other side of the grill plate during usage, the used side has to be cleaned before turning it over. Fat or oil might ignite if it drips onto the heating element.

Caution

Unplug the product and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water. When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning products and tools may scratch the surface(s).

Remove excess grease with a paper towel before detaching the grill plates.

Clean the grill plate, pans and the spatulas with a soft cloth or sponge and hot water.

After each cleaning, dry all surfaces thoroughly before further use of the product.

Place the dried grill plate on the device and the pans on the designated surface.

Note

It is possible to clean the grill plate and spatulas in a dishwasher.
