This appliance is intended for preserving foods and other non-food items by vaccum packaging. This appliance is only intended for private household use!

General Safety Instructions
- Manufacturer takes no responsibility for any damage caused by incorrect use.
- Incorrect or improper use can damage the appliance and cause injuries to the user.
- Before connecting this appliance to the mains, make sure your local voltage matches the technical data of the appliance. Otherwise the appliance may overheat and get damaged.

Caution! Danger of electric shock!
- Never put the appliance, cord or plug into water or any other liquid.
- Do not use the appliance near a sink or wash basin.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
An electric appliance is not a toy!
- Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Always unplug your appliance when it is not in use, and before cleaning.
- Always pull the plug – not the cord.
- Keep the appliance and the cord well away from any hot surfaces to avoid any damage to the appliance.
- Make sure the cord may not inadvertently be pulled or cause anyone to trip when in use. Do not allow the cord to hang over sharp edges.
- Do not bend the cord or wind it round the appliance.
Do not use the appliance,
• if the cord is damaged.
• in case of malfunction.
- if the appliance was dropped or is damaged otherwise.
Have it checked and, if necessary, repaired by a qualified person/Customer Service. Never attempt to make any modifications to or repair the appliance yourself.
- Only use accessories evaluated for use with this appliance.
- Never attempt to drive any objects into the appliance.
• Never attempt to open the housing yourself!
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Special Safety Instructions

Warning! To avoid the possibility of injury/damage to the appliance, electric shock, and risk of burns.
- Keep the vaccum bags and vacuum rolls out of the reach of children. Danger of suffocation!
- Due to hygienic reasons, we recommend to only use the vacuum bags once.
- Only use commercially available vaccum bags and no regular plastic bags as those e could melt.
- Only use the appliance for its intended purpose and as described in this manual.
- Do not move the appliance during operation.
- Do not place the appliance near any inflammable objects.
- The appliance can get very hot (sealing gasket, vacuum packing chamber) during use, danger of serious burns!

A. DRY/MOIST FOOD
Press and choose between dry and moist food setting. The respective indicator light lights up. Choose the dry setting for solid food items and the moist setting for poached simmered, steamed or liquid food.
B. SHORT/LONG SEAL TIME
Press this button to choose between short or long seal time. When vacuumizing moist food or thicker bags, long seal time is recommend.
C. VACUUM SEAL
Press this button to start the vacuum and sealing process. Once the vacuum and sealing process is done, the appliance will stop automatically. Wait until the indicator light goes off, before you open the appliance to remove the bag.
D. PULSE
Use this button (manually) when you wish to control the vacuum sealing process, e.g. delicate food. Press the button and the pump turns on, release the button and it shuts off.
E. CANISTER
Press this button if you wish to vaccum pack a vacuum food container.
F. SEAL/CANCEL
Press and choose between SEAL ONLY function. The bag is only sealed. Wait until the indicator light goes off, before you open the appliance to remove the bag. OR
CANCEL, to stop the on-going process.

For connection of the vacuum hose. Only to be used when vacuum packing a vacuum food container.

Press to open the appliance.

- Vaccum Hose
Only to be used with a suitable vaccum food containers. Connect one end of the hose with the port of the appliance and the other end to the port of the vacuum container.
- Sealing Silicone
- Vakuum Kammer
- Sealing gasket
- Heating bar with TEFLON tape. Allows the bag to be sealed without sticking to the heating bar.

Do not remove the TEFLON tape.

- Power core and plug
Before First Use
- Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete and undamaged.
- Do not use the appliance if it shows any signs of damage.
- Completely unwind the power cord (12) and make sure that the power cord (12) is clamped into the cable guide (11) underneath the appliance.
- Clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning and Care".

Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and babies, therefore keep them away to avoid
suffocation.
Why vacuum pack?
Vaccuum packaging is the perfect way to preserve your favourite food dry or moist, extend its shelf life and to protect it from dehydration and freezer burn. It's also Ideal for sous-vide cooking, portion control, etc.

Warning: Vacuum packaging is not a substitute for refrigeration or freezing. Perishable foods still
need to be refrigerated or frozen after vacuum packaging.
Tips and Hints for vaccum packaging
• Always wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling food.
• Use clean equipment and utensils.
We recommend pre-freezing for
- liquids, e.g. soups, sauces. Pour the liquid into the vacuum bag and place it upright into the freezer.
Once the liquid is frozen, you can vaccum seal the bag. You can also freeze the liquid in an ice cube tray and then transfer to the vacuum bag.
- berries, e.g. raspberries, blueberries, etc.
- meat and fish (for approx. 1 – 2 hrs) to retain its shape and juices
- When vacuum packaging vegetables, cooking or steaming is recommend beforehand.
Note: All Vegetables incl. broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, turnips emit gases during storage, therefore store them in the freezer.
- Only vacuum pack freshly cooked food and vegetables after they have cooled down.
- When vacuum packaging powdery food like flour, it's best to use their original packing inside the vacuum bag. As the fine powder could get sucked into the appliance and could cause damage to the appliance.

Some foods contain anaerobic bacteria, which can grow without the presence of air. Within a
vacuum sealed pouch, with reduced oxygen, these bacteria will grow and may pose a risk to your health.
Therefore, do not vacuum seal:
- raw mushrooms
- garlic
- soft cheeses (blue cheese, brie, camembert, ricotta and other soft and unpasteurized cheeses)
Operation

The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high during operation. Therefore, do not
touch the appliance during and/or immediately after operation.
Vacuum Seal
- Place the appliance on an even and heat-resistant surface.
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- Place the items to be sealed into the vaccum bag. Clean and straighten the opening of the bag and leave at least 5 cm between the contents and the top of the bag to allow enough space for bag contraction.
- Open the lid of the appliance and place the open end of the bag down into the vacuum chamber (8).

- Choose the Dry or Moist food setting depending on the food you wish to vaccum pack by pressing the button repeatedly (A), the respective indicator light will light up.

Factory setting is DRY.
- Press the Vacuum Seal button (C), the indicator light lights up and the vacuum and sealing process starts. The vacuum sealing process is completed once the indicator light goes off.
- Press the release buttons (3) on each side of the appliance and remove the bag.

Attention : Under heavy usage, the appliance will shut off automatically to prevent overheating.
Allow the appliance to cool down for 5 minutes before using it again.
How to use the PULSE Vacuum Button
This button helps you to control the strength of the vacuum function especially if you wish to vacuum pack delicate or liquid/juicy food.
Delicate food won't be crushed and when packing juicy food this function will prevent that liquid is being sucked out.
- Follow steps 1 - 5
- Press the "PULSE" button (D) continually and the vacuum process starts. Release the button and the vacuum process stops.
- Once the desired vacuum result is reached press the SEAL button (F) to start the sealing process of the bag.
- Once the indicator light goes off, press the release buttons (3) and remove the bag.
How to choose the sealing time?
We recommend to choose short seal time for dry food and long seal time for moist food or when using a thicker bag.
How to Vaccum a Food Container (not included)
Only use commercially available containers.
- Place the food/product you wish to vacuum pack into the container and close the container with its lid.
- Connect one end of the vacuum hose (6) to the port (2) of the appliance and the other end of the hose (6) to the port/valve of the container lid.
- Press down the lid of the appliance on both sides until it clicks into place, a click sound is heard.
- Press the Canister button (E) to start the vacuum function.
- Once the process is finished the vacuum process stops automatically.
- Disconnect the vacuum hose (6) from the food container and the appliance.
- Select the close position of the container valve (best follow instructions of the vacuum food container).

You can always press the Cancel button to stop the vacuum process.
After, use always make sure that the appliance is shut off and disconnected from from the mains.
Vaccuum Sealer Bags and vacuum bag rolls
We recommend to only use commercially available vacuum sealer bags and vacuum bag rolls that are BPA free, food, freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe as well as being suitable for sous vide cooking.
When using a vacuum bag roll, use the cutter (4) to cut the desired bag size from the bag roll. Make sure to cut in a straight line.
Open the appliance lid and insert one end of the bag onto the heating bar (10), close the lid properly and press the SEAL button (F) on the control panel (1).
Once the sealing process is finished, the appliance stops automatically. Once the indicator light goes off the customized bag can be removed and used for for vacuum packing.
We recommend to use embossed/textured vacuum bags and vacuum bag rolls.
Size for vacuum bags and vacuum bag roll : Max width 28 cm.
Troubling Shooting
Nothing happens when I press the "VACUUM" button:
• Make sure the power cord is correctly plugged into the electrical outlet.
• Make sure the power cord is not damaged in any way.
- Make sure the electrical outlet is operative by plugging in another appliance. If it's not, please check the circuit breakers or fuses in your home.
• Make sure the bag is positioned correctly down in the vacuum chamber.
- Press down on both sides of the lid and make sure it is locked in place.
- Wait 5 minutes to allow appliance to cool off, and then try using again.
Air is not vacuumed from the bag / Air has seeped back into the vacuumed bag / Bag will not seal:
- Check that there are no gaps, folds, or holes in the pre-sealed bags.
- Check for loose, worn or cracked upper and lower sealing gaskets.
- Foods with high liquid contents may prevent the bag from sealing properly.
- Cut the bag open and wipe the top inside the bag and reseal.
- Check to see if the bag is properly inserted into the vacuum chamber.
- When making a bag from a roll, make sure that the end of the cut piece is on the sealing strip.
- Thick bag will not seal properly, Press the "seal time + " button to increase the seal time, to seal thicker bags.
- Use a new bag.
Cleaning and Care
Due to hygienic reasons clean your appliance on a regular basis, best after each use. Not doing so could possibly result in a hazardous situation or could lead to health issues (germ formation).

Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains. Let it completely cool down.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock!
Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth.
Use a paper towel to remove any food residues or liquid form inside the vacuum chamber, if necessary use a moistened soft cloth.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents and/or other hard objects to clean the appliance.
Make sure that the appliance and all other resp. parts are properly dried.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Storage
Keep the appliance away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.
Keep the appliance unlocked, when not in use.
Disposal Instructions

Waste electrical devices marked with this sign must not be disposed of with your household waste, but are to be collected separately. Therefore, please return this device at the end of its life cycle to special collection points for disposal or your local dealer.

Your Vaccuum Sealer 28000 / 28001 is packed in a retail box. Such boxes are recyclable waste, i.e. they are reusable or recyclable.
