GB Instructions for use
FR Mode d'emploi
Before using the appliance, read the following instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions.

Safety instructions
- The accessories may only be used in conjunction with the SEVERIN hand blenders item no. 3771, 3772, 3773, 3774, or 3775. The safety instructions in the instructions for use of the respective hand blender therefore also apply.

The blade is sharp. Risk of injury! Be particularly careful when emptying and cleaning the working container!

Clean the accessories immediately after use.
- For more information on cleaning, please refer to the Cleaning and care section.
- Inspect the accessories for damage before each use. A defective accessory must not be used.
Cleaning and care:
- Clean the lid of the multi-chopper with a damp cloth and some washing-up liquid.
- Make sure that no water runs into the drive shaft in the cover!
- The working container, the anti-slip protection, and the knife can be cleaned with warm water with the addition of a standard washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher.
Before using for the first time
Clean the accessories before using them for the first time, as described under Cleaning and care.
Short-time operation
The hand blender is designed for processing normal household quantities. It can be used with the multi-chopper for up to 1 minute continuously with all switch settings. The motor must then cool down for at least 3 minutes.

Handling
- Place the processing bowl on the slip protection.
- Caution: Exercise extreme care: the blades are very sharp. When handling the blades, always hold them by the upper protective plastic covering.
- Cut the material to be sliced into pieces of approximately 1-2 cm.
- Fit the cutting blade unit into the bowl before filling the bowl with the food to be chopped.
- Avoid overfilling the working tank! The processing bowl may be filled with herbs etc. up to the MAX mark.
- Do not fill with hot liquids or hard foods (e.g. ice cubes, nutmegs, cereals, coffee beans, rice or spices). Hard cheese or chocolate is also unsuitable.
- Close the processing bowl with the lid and lock it by turning clockwise.
- Put the drive unit on the lid of the processing bowl. Lock by turning so that and face each other.
- Plug in the mains plug and press the turbo button in short intervals until the material to be sliced has reached the desired fineness. Hold the lid and the processing bowl.
- After chopping, first pull out the mains plug before opening the lid or removing the drive unit. To loosen the drive unit, turn it until and face each other.
Unlock the lid, remove it and take out the blade and the food to be sliced.
- When processing further food after the first cycle, make sure that the receptacle for the blade unit at the bottom of the bowl is free of food residue before refitting the unit.
