Before using the appliance, please read the following instructions carefully and keep this instruction manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by those familiar with these instructions.
Connection to the mains supply
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label. Th is product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.

Important safety instructions
Before the appliance is used, the main body including the power cord as well as any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance have been dropped onto a hard surface, for instance, it must no longer be
used: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on its operational safety.
- The power cord should be regularly examined for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used.
Do not operate the appliance if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord. Damage cannot always be detected from the outside; the entire unit should therefore be checked by a qualified technician before it is used again.
- Great care is necessary when using this appliance, especially near children. Do not leave it unattended while connected. Always remove the plug from the wall socket, even if you leave the room for only a short while.
- This appliance is not intended for use by any persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children: there is a risk of suffocation.
- The attachments designed for cutting, slicing and grating have extremely sharp blades. To prevent the possibility of severe injury, use extreme care when handling or cleaning these attachments.
- To prevent the risk of injury, always remove the blades carefully before emptying or cleaning the blender jug and chopping/mincing insert.
- Caution: Do not insert any objects or implements into the blender jug while the appliance is switched on.
- Caution: Always use the appropriate pestle to feed food down the tube. Do not under any circumstances use your hands.
- Caution: Do not touch any moving parts during operation - this can be extremely
dangerous.
Do not allow the appliance or its power cord to touch hot surfaces or come into contact with any heat sources.
- Do not fill the jug with hot liquid.
Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
● Always switch off, remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before opening the lid, -
- before removing or fitting the blender jug, in cases of malfunction, - during cleaning, - aft er each cycle of use. -
- When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull on the power cord; always grip the plug itself.
- This appliance should only be used with the attachments provided by the manufacturer and in accordance with the purposes described in this manual.
- No responsibility is accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with. Caution: Any misuse can cause severe personal injury.
- This appliance is intended for domestic use only and not for commercial applications. In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel, including the replacement of the power cord. If repairs are needed, please send the appliance to one of our customer service departments. The e address can be found in the appendix to this manual.
Before using for the first time
Before the appliance is used for the first time, the blender jar and all accessory parts should be cleaned as described in the section General care and cleaning.

Short-term operation
Th is appliance is designed to process average domestic quantities of food. For kneading dough or mincing meat, it can be operated
- without interruption for a maximum of 1 minute; for chopping vegetables or blending liquid ingredients, the maximum is 2 minutes. Switch off aft erwards and allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature.
Safety switch
A special safety switch in the motor housing ensures that the appliance can only be operated once the blender jug is properly locked in position.
Before removing the blender jug, make sure that the control switch is in position 0. Th is also applies when fi tting the blender jug to the main unit. If the switch is not in its off-position (0), the motor will start immediately.
Operation
General information
Fit the blender jug to the main unit with its handle on the right and lock it by turning clockwise, observing the markings on the right of the housing.
Fit the required attachment and put the ingredients into the blender jug which has a maximum operating capacity of approx. 2400 ml.
Position the lid on the bowl and turn clockwise until it is heard locking into place; the two markings on the jug handle and lid must be properly aligned. Place the pestle into the feed tube.
Insert the plug into the wall socket; either use the rotary control to select the desired programme, or select the speed manually.
Caution: do not let the blender jug run empty.
- Once processing is finished, switch off and remove the plug from the wall socket. Wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill, and then remove the blender jug by following the steps above in reverse order.
Programme selection
Th ree different programmes can be selected. Th e main indicator lamp and the programme indicator lamps light up.
Pulse function
The appliance is switched on as long as the operating button is depressed; once it is released, the appliance goes back to stand-by mode.
Blending/mixing
Th is programme is designed for automatic blending, stirring or kneading of cake dough etc. Once the programme has finished, the appliance switches back to stand-by mode. To interrupt the current programme, press the programme button again, when the appliance will return to stand-by mode.
Chopping/mincing
Th is programme is designed for the automatic chopping/mincing of vegetables, meat etc. Once the programme has finished, the appliance goes back to stand-by mode. To interrupt the current programme, press the programme button again, when the appliance will return to stand-by mode.
Manual speed selection
The operating speed can be set manually. The main indicator lamp and the programme – indicator lamp ‘Pulse’ both light up. Pushing the ‘Pulse’ button provides a brief burst of maximum speed.
Using the attachments
Kneading tool
The kneading tool is designed for processing dough for such items as cakes or pizza. Maximum fill capacity: 1400 g
- Ensure that the blender jug is safely locked; then fi t the drive shaft and kneading tool inside the jug.
Put in the solid ingredients, replace and lock the lid, switch the appliance on and add the liquid ingredients through the feed tube while the motor is running.
Caution: replace the pestle in the tube. Always start with the lowest setting when using manual speed selection and slowly increase as necessary.
After its first rising phase, leavened dough must be kneaded by hand and cannot be automatically kneaded a second time.
Note:
- For around 1.3 kg of dough, fill the blender jug with a maximum of 800g fl our, 400 ml water and 100 ml cream.
Chopping blade
The chopping blade is designed for stirring cold liquids (e.g. soup), and for chopping meat, onions, dried fruit etc. Cut the food into cubes of about 2 cm fi rst. Maximum fi ll capacity: 1000 g
Remove the protective cover from the - blades. Ensure that the blender jug is safely
locked, before fi tting the drive shaft and chopping blade inside the jug. Caution: Th e blades are extremely sharp: hold the blade unit only by its shaft.
Put in the ingredients, replace and lock the - lid and switch the appliance on. Further ingredients may be added through the feed tube during operation; always use the pestle.
Grating/slicing discs
These discs are designed for processing many different vegetables and varieties of salad.
Julienne disc
For cutting julienne-type thin strips from carrots, zucchini, kohlrabi etc.

For slicing vegetable, cucumber, making potato chips, etc.
For grating cabbage, carrots, celery, apples, cucumber etc.
Potato grating disc
For grating potatoes to prepare dough for potato pancakes
Ensure that the blender jug is safely locked, – and then fi t the drive shaft and the required disc inside the jug. To fi t the disc, hold it by its centre ring, ensuring that the appropriate surface for the function you want is facing upwards.
Replace and lock the lid. Use the pestle to feed the ingredients down the tube. Caution: replace the pestle in the feed tube.
Chopping/mincing insert
This insert is designed for chopping/mincing herbs, nuts and smaller amounts of onions etc. Maximum fill capacity: 300 g
Ensure that the blender jug is safely locked, and then place the chopping/mincing bowl inside the jug. (see picture no. 10).
Remove the protective cover from the blade unit and place it inside the small bowl onto the drive shaft in the jug. Caution: The blades are extremely sharp: hold the blades only by its shaft.
Put in the ingredients, replace and lock the - lid and switch the appliance on Further ingredients may be added through the feed tube during operation; always use the pestle.
General care and cleaning
- Caution: Turn off the appliance after use, remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before cleaning.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the main unit or the power cord with water and do not immerse them in water. The main unit housing may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or hard brushes.
All accessory parts should be thoroughly - cleaned immediately after use, using hot water and a mild detergent, or in a dishwasher.
Do not use harsh or aggressive cleaning solutions. When cleaning the blades or inserts, always beware of sharp edges.
Caution: There is a serious risk of injury. Never store the blades without their protective cover.
Disposal

Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage, this should only be done through public collection points.
Guarantee
This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service-centres. Th is guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with
the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.
Th is guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. Th is guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return. If within the guarantee period, please also provide the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
