Thank you for choosing an Bearware product. Please read the following user manual carefully so that you can get the most from the product you have purchased. Before using the product, first check that the delivered item is complete, accurate and undamaged.

4. Initial use
Check if the product and the components are intact and if the device is working properly when using it for the first time. Remove the product from the packing and remove the plastic strip, which is protruding out of the battery compartment on the back side of the energy cost meter.
Connect the electrical devices, whose energy consumption has to be recorded, to the meter. Then plug the energy cost meter into a properly installed earthed socket.
The device is now ready for use. Detailed information regarding the operation and settings is given in the following sections in this user manual.
Caution! The time measurement stops when the consumption value is below 2 W.
If the energy cost meter cannot be put into operation, press the "Reset" button for a few seconds

5.1 Timer display
The timer display shows the duration in which the power was consumed. The following points should be noted:
- The display is reset after 24 hours. The "Day" value of the COST display is incremented by 1 in this case.
- The power consumption of the connected device must be at least 2 W for the time measurement to continue.
5.2 Scrolling through the displays
Using the "FUNC" button, you can change the display and scroll through the various modes. The following figures show the different display modes that you can scroll through as per the sequence.

6. Entering the energy price
- Before using the energy cost meter for the first time and once in 3 months, please connect it to the power supply for approx. 24 hours to charge the internal battery.
- Press the "COST" button briefly until the price per KWh is shown on the display.
- Press and hold the "Cost" button for about 5 seconds to enter your actual power price for one kilowatt hour.
- Using the "FUNC" button, you can select the desired digit that you want to set. The corresponding digit starts flashing.
- Set the digits to the desired values using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons. Press the :COST" button to confirm the setting.
6.1 Overload limit
Note: The energy cost meter is designed for a maximum power of 3680 watts. Do not set the overload limit above this value and do not connect any devices whose energy consumption is more than 3680 watts.
If the energy consumption exceeds the overload limit, then this is indicated by a flashing "OVERLOAD" in the energy display.
7. Warranty declaration
The manufacturer provides a warranty of 2 years for this product with respect to workmanship and material. Warranty repairs should only be carried out by an authorized customer service centre. The original sales document should be enclosed as proof.
The following are excluded from warranty: normal wear and tear, modifications, reworks, damage caused by carelessness, external influences, applications for which the product was not designed or products dismantled completely or partially.
8. Important tips
- The meter is only suitable for indoor use.
- Please do not connect in series.
- Disconnected only when the plug is removed.
- Use the meter only in dry condition.
- The specified maximum electric power should not be exceeded.
- There are no special ventilation requirements for this product.
Ensure that the product is not covered by a blanket etc. when it is being used for safety reasons. - If the device is not used for a long period of time or if the readings are incorrect, the batteries may be empty. Replace them in such cases.

9. Safety instructions and disclaimer
Never try to open the device to repair or make modifications. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not waterproof, hence please use it only in dry surroundings. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep the product away from high temperatures. Do not expose the product to sudden changes in temperature or strong vibrations, as this could damage the electronic components. Check the device for any damage before using it. The product should not be used if it was subject to impact or has been damaged in some other manner. Please comply with the local regulations and
restrictions. Do not use the product for purposes other than those described in the user manual. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons. Any repair or modification to the product, which is not carried out by the original supplier, will void any warranty and guarantee claims. The product should only be used by those who have read and understood this user manual. The specifications of the product may be changed without any special prior notification.

10. Disposal instructions
In line with the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic products should not be disposed of along with domestic waste. Their components have to be separately sent for recycling or disposal, because improper disposal of toxic and dangerous components may permanently damage the environment. According to the electrical and electronic equipment act (ElektroG), you are obliged (as a consumer) to return (free of charge) electrical and electronic products to the manufacturer, the point of sale or public collection points at the end of their service life. The relevant local laws regulate the details in this regard. The symbol displayed on the product, in the user manual or/and on the packaging refers to these regulations. With this manner of sorting, recycling and disposal of used products, you make an important contribution towards protecting our environment.

11. Instructions for battery disposal
In conjunction with the sale of batteries along with the supply of appliances that include batteries, the supplier is obliged to point out the following to the customer: The customer is legally obliged to return used batteries. He can return used batteries which the supplier offers or has offered as new batteries in his assortment free of charge to the supplier's dispatch warehouse (shipping address). The symbols shown on the batteries indicate the following: Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead by weight, Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium by weight, Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury by weight.

The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin means that the battery should not be disposed of in household waste.
