IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION FOR THIS APPLIANCE

Please read this manual carefully before using the appliance!

Improper use can result in personal injury and damage to property. Those who are not familiar with the manual should not be allowed to operate the appliance. Keep this manual carefully.

The manufacturer or distributor do not accept any liability for damage caused by unintended or improper use.

- The ash pre-separator is meant exclusively for personal use and for the intended purpose. It is not intended for commercial use.

• Children and youngsters should not operate this appliance.

- In addition to the information in this user manual, general safety and accident

prevention regulations of the respective legislator have to be followed.

- If you notice any unexpected heating, switch off the appliance immediately. Disconnect the mains plug immediately from the vacuum cleaner and remove the filter bag. If necessary, empty the contents of the ash pre-separator container. Allow both the appliances to cool down under supervision.

  • The appliance is not suitable for separating hazardous substances.
  • Check the hoses, ash filter and vacuum cleaner regularly for heating.
    • Vacuum only ashes of permitted fuels!
  • Before vacuuming ovens, make sure that the oven has cooled down.
  • Do not vacuum any hot, burning or glowing objects.

  • Ensure that the temperature of the material being vacuumed is not more than 50°C. There is risk of fire!

  • Caution! Materials that look cooled down from the outside, may still be hot inside. Always make sure that the material is adequately cooled.
  • Hot ash particles can ignite again in the air stream.
  • Do not vacuum soot! This could clog the filter.
  • Caution! At high temperatures, the suction hoses, the filter or the vacuum cleaner may be damaged.
  • Empty the vacuum cleaner and the ash pre-separator in a suitable container every time after use.
  • Caution! Risk of fire in the vacuum cleaner!

Intended use

The ash pre-separator is only suitable for vacuuming dry, adequately cooled ash and dry dirt. Use the appliance only for personal use. It is not intended for commercial use.

4. Initial use

Take the product out of the package and remove all the packaging material. Attach the filter to the bottom of the lid. The filter should be removed and cleaned after heavy use.

Ensure that the temperature of the ash is not more than 50 °C .

  • Connect one end of the hose (4) with the locking tabs firmly to the suction opening of the lid. The hose can be locked by slightly turning in the clockwise direction. Connect the other end of the metal hose (4) to the aluminium suction pipe (1).
  • Now take your vacuum cleaner and insert the suction pipe of the vacuum cleaner into the vacuum cleaner opening (2) of the ash pre-separator.
  • Then start your vacuum cleaner to use the ash pre-separator. Always follow the safety instructions.

  • The appliance is ready and can now be used to vacuum, for e.g. ash.

  • Move the aluminium pipe closely, slowly and evenly over the dirt. Always make sure that the product is upright.

5. Disassembling the hose

To disassemble the hose, slightly rotate the end attached to the lid in counter-clockwise direction and remove it by pulling lightly.

6. Filter

The appliance has a HEPA filter (6) on the back of the lid.

Switch the vacuum cleaner off and disconnect it. Remove the lid from the container of the pre-separator.

Rotate the lid so that you can see the filter. Now you can simply remove the filter.

7. Cleaning and Care

Disconnect the mains adapter from the socket before cleaning.

Clean the product using a slightly moist cloth.

Open the lid and empty the container into an appropriate garbage can.

Caution! Make sure that the vacuumed ash has completely cooled down.

Remove the filter from the appliance and empty the dust compartment.

7.1 Cleaning the filter unit

Remove the filter protection bag from the filter and remove the filter unit from the appliance. Then clean all the parts of the filter unit using a brush. If a lot of dirt has accumulated, clean it using a vacuum cleaner.

Note: You can rinse the filter using cold or lukewarm water if needed. Dry the filter thoroughly before replacing it in the filter unit!

Then mount the filter back on the lid and reattach the filter protection bag over the filter.

8. Emptying the container

The vacuuming capacity is reduced if the container of the appliance is full.

Open the two locks on the motor unit (3) and then remove the lid from the container (5).

Empty the contents of the container into an appropriate garbage can.

Caution! Make sure that the contents of the container have cooled down completely.

9. Safety instructions and disclaimer

Never try to open the appliance to repair or make modifications. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. The appliance is free of current only when disconnected. Do not short-circuit the product. Please disconnect the power cord when not in use or during storms. Use the appliance only in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep the appliance away from high temperatures. Do not expose the appliance to sudden changes in temperature or strong vibrations, as this could damage the electronic components. Check the appliance for any damage before using it. The appliance should not be used if it was subject to impact or has been damaged in some other manner. Please follow the national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those described in the manual. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons.

Any repair or modification to the appliance, which is not carried out by the original supplier, will void the warranty or warranty claims. The appliance should only be used by those who have read and understood this manual. The specifications of the appliance may be changed without any special prior notification.

10. Disposal instructions

In line with the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic appliances should not be disposed of along with domestic waste. Their components must be sent for recycling or disposal separately, as improper disposal of toxic and dangerous components could permanently damage the environment.
