Intended use

The fan is designed exclusively for the ventilation of dry rooms.

It is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial use.

Only use the fan as described in these operating instructions.

1. Only use this appliance in accordance with the guidelines in the operating instructions. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer could result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
2. Remove the packaging and make sure that the unit is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the unit and contact the service centre or your dealer.
3. Keep children away from packaging materials. There is a danger of choking if swallowed!
4. If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre in order to avoid all possible risks.
5. Before connecting to the mains, you must check that the type of current and mains voltage correspond to the information on the appliance rating plate.
6. The electrical socket in which you connect the unit must not be defective or loose and must be suitable for the required current load and, above all, reliably earthed.
7. Avoid using an extension cord as it could overheat and cause a fire.

8. It is forbidden to adapt or modify the characteristics of this appliance in any way and use only spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer (failure to do so will invalidate the guarantee and warranty).

9. If the unit has a defect, switch it off and contact your dealer or the customer hotline.

10. Always and only contact customer service centres authorised by the manufacturer for any repairs to the appliance, mains plug or cable. You can find the service centres online at www.becool.at.
11. 12. Do not operate the unit unattended. If you leave the room, always switch off the unit.

17. Do not operate the appliance in rooms where gas, oil or sulphur are present.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE

ASSEMBLY

	Join the two components of the stand together while pulling the cable through the middle. Then press the two parts into each other, making sure that they click into place.
	Place the stand on the fan housing and carefully pull the power cable through the opening in the stand.
	Basic installation: Unscrew the lock nut from the fan housing counterclockwise1. Feed the mains cable through the centre hole of the two semi-circular bases.2. Insert the fan housing into the centre hole of the two semi-circular bases and then press these two semi-circular bases together; make sure that the 4 holes between these two semi-circles are tightly closed.3. Attach the base to the fan housing; insert the locking nut and turn it clockwise to lock the base in position

NOTE

With fans of this type and height, it is desirable that the unit is not rigidly attached to the stand but sways somewhat.

This is therefore not a sign of insufficient quality of the product, but serves as an anti-tipper if people or animals bump into the unit.

REMOTE CONTROL

Preparing the remote control - Inserting or replacing the battery

Please follow the instructions below:

Initial operation:

To operate the remote control for the first time, please pull out the plastic protector from the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.

Change battery:

Pull out the battery holder on the back of the remote control and remove the old battery from the holder:

Now insert a new CR2025 battery, always paying attention to the polarity markings (+/-) on the battery and the battery holder.

Then push the battery holder fully back into the remote control.

COMMISSIONING

1. Place the appliance on a flat and dry surface (do not use in wet rooms).
2. Insert the plug into a standard 220\~240V socket.
3. The functions of the fan can be set both with the help of the remote control and directly on the unit with the buttons on the control panel.
4. If the remote control is used, it must be pointed directly at the unit to ensure proper operation.

NOTE

As soon as you connect the unit to the mains and switch on the unit, the room temperature is shown on the display.

SWITCH ON/OFF: POWER

- To switch the fan on and off, use the POWER button.

SET SPEED: SPEED

The tower fan is equipped with three different speed settings.

- Press the SPEED button repeatedly until the desired speed lights up on the display:

SELECT MODE: MODE

The tower fan has two different modes you can choose from:

- To do this, use the MODE button repeatedly until the desired mode lights up on the display:

Mode	Function
	Nature ModeAlternating speed levels, which are modelled on the natural wind.
	Sleep modeTo activate sleep mode, select it first before setting the desired speed level. The display will automatically turn off after about 20 seconds.The fan activates at intervals to simulate a natural breeze while saving energy. Depending on the speed level set, the fan starts at the highest level and reduces it by one level every 30 minutes until the lowest level is reached.

TIMER

This function allows you to switch off the unit time-controlled. You can select an operating time from 1 to 12 hours.

- To do this, press the TIMER key repeatedly until the desired time appears on the display. The display "TEMP" changes to "TIMER" if it is switched on.

SWIVEL FUNCTION (OSCILLATION): OSC

- Pressing the OSC button starts or stops the panning function.

NOTE

This function distributes the discharged air to the left and right. This way you achieve a horizontal air distribution in the room.

IONISATOR: ION

The fan is equipped with an ioniser. This distributes ionised air into the rooms and removes static charge.

To start the ioniser function, please proceed as follows:

• Control panel Press the MODE button for 3 seconds.
• Remote control Press the ION key.

NOTE

The resulting atoms and molecules promote the chemical degradation process. This can be used to eliminate odours and disinfect the air.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

• Caution! Before cleaning, allow the appliance to come to a complete standstill and disconnect it from the power socket.
  • Use a soft cloth for cleaning. Should dirt or
• Do not allow contamination to be easily removed, use warm soapy water.
• Do not use solvents or scouring agents (thinners), metal cutlery or hard brushes for cleaning, as these may damage the plastic housing.
• Do not immerse the fan in water or other liquids. Do not allow water to drip onto or into the motor housing of the fan.
• Dry all components thoroughly before storing them.
• Store the unit in a cool, dry and clean environment.
• Keep the appliance out of the reach of children and animals.

We would like to point out that repair work that has not been carried out by the authorised contract workshop in Austria will immediately terminate the validity of this warranty.

This warranty does not cover:

• We do not accept any liability for consequential damage in the event of improper use.
• Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear
• Damage due to non-observance of the operating instructions
  • Devices that are used - even only partially - for commercial purposes
• equipment mechanically damaged by external influence (fall, impact, breakage, improper use, etc.) as well as wear and tear of an aesthetic nature.
  • Equipment that has been improperly handled
• Units that have not been opened by our authorised service workshop.
• Consumer expectations not met.
• Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning, overvoltage.
• Units where the type designation and/or serial number on the unit has been changed, deleted, made illegible or removed.
• services outside our authorised workshops, the transport costs to an authorised workshop or to us and back, and the associated risks.

We expressly point out that within the warranty period, a lump sum of € 60,- (indexed basis CPI 2010, June 2015) will be charged in case of operating errors or if no error was detected.

The provision of warranty service (repair or replacement of the appliance) does not extend the absolute warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

The 2-year warranty is only valid on presentation of the purchase receipt (must contain the name and address of the dealer as well as the complete designation of the unit) and the corresponding warranty certificate, on which the type of unit as well as the serial number (visible on the box and on the back or bottom of the unit) must be noted! Without the warranty certificate, only the legal warranty applies!

We expressly point out that the statutory warranty rights are not affected by this guarantee and continue undiminished.

Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages in the event of gross negligence or intent. Liability for loss of profit, expected but not realised savings, consequential damage and damage from third party claims is excluded in any case. Damages to or for recorded data are always excluded from the liability for damages.
