Gardigo Anti-Marten Dual keeps martens away from your car, house, garage, barn, loft or arbor. The integrated 30-second interval switching prevents the martens from getting used to the sound. An integrated vibration sensor detects whether the device is being moved or is at a standstill and switches on or off accordingly. Any other use as the mentioned is not permitted! No liabilities will be taken for damages or consequential damages or claims resulting out of not reading and/or not following the user guide and/or any form of modification on or in the product. Under these circumstances, no warranty services will be granted.

2. Safety instructions

- Electrical appliances, packaging materials, etc. do not belong in the hands of children. Children may not play with the device.

- The device may only be used with the stated voltage: 6 V, 4 x AA (Mignon) or 12 V (car installation)

- It must be determined if the device is suitable for the respective use.

- The device may only be used by children over eight years and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or the lack of knowledge or experience, if they are supervised

or have been instructed in the safe use of the device by a person responsible for their safety and have understood the dangers resulting out of the use.

• If you do not use the device for an extended period of time, remove the batteries and store them accordingly.
• Batteries should not be used in temperatures under 0 °C. They may become damaged and lose their capacity.
• Never hold the device directly to your ear. Humans cannot hear ultrasonic frequencies, but they might the device emits at a high volume and then therefore it might be harmful, if the ear is exposed to them over a longer period.

4. Installation and use

Inserting the batteries:

• You need 4 x AA batteries to operate the device. Open the battery compartment on the back of the device.
• Insert the batteries. Pay attention to the polarity. It is shown in the housing. (The negative end of the battery always points to the spring in the battery compartment.)

• Close the battery compartment. The device is now ready for operation. The green LED will flash at regular intervals. Please note that the device may start in pause mode and then enter the operating mode. Do not move the device.

• The normal operating voltage of this device is 9 volts. If the batteries become flat, a continuous tone will sound. If the ultra-high sound becomes clearly audible and changes to a continuous tone. Change the batteries. The operating time with fresh batteries is about 8 months.

• The enclosed adapter cable is not needed. Please close the plug socket with the plug provided.

Installing in the car:

• The device is assembled in the engine compartment of the car. It should be installed in a place in the engine compartment that is protected from splash water and general dirt. Make sure that the LED Flash function is not covered.
• The device is connected directly to the car battery. Plug the adapter cable into the device. The plug must be inserted into the socket with a twisting movement as far as it will go, so that a firm hold is guaranteed, and the housing is sealed. The red cable is connected to the positive pole, the brown cable to the negative pole.
• Should your car no longer be in for a long time Operation, please make sure that the appliance is in this period is disconnected or switched off.

Application:

• Unwanted visits by martens on your premises will be intrusions of the past. The Gardigo Anti-Marten Dual keeps the biting pests away from the car, house, garage, barn, loft or gazebo with ultrasonic noise at regular intervals. The device is ready to go and no power connection nor installation is required. The device emits high frequency sounds at intervals of 30 seconds. These sounds, barely perceptible to the human ear, keep the martens away from vehicles and areas. The integrated interval circuit also prevents the animal from getting accustomed to the sound.
• An integrated vibration sensor detects whether the device is being moved or if it is at a standstill and switches on or off accordingly. At a standstill, when e.g. the car is parked, the device is active and transmits. Whilst driving, the device switches off and saves battery.
• An installation in vehicles, is possible with the supplied cable ties. For attachment outside the vehicle, screws are also available. Secure the unit to a suitable location in the engine compartment or on walls, fences or similar surfaces in the home, garden or barn with screws or the supplied cable ties. When mounting on a wall, make sure that there is a no area at the bottom of the wall, which is not covered by the sound.
• When the vehicle is stationary, the device switches on automatically after approx. 60 seconds, or switches off vibrations generated by the motor or during driving (automatic switch-off). The device is only active when the vehicle is parked. This protects the car battery (Auto-ON-OFF).

Note: If the vehicle or room has already been visited by martens, the animals most probably have left scent marks in the area. These odors must be removed before installing the device (in the vehicle best by a motor wash).

If you would like to use the device in your car, please note that the device must be removed before a motor wash!

Attention! Important warning when drilling in walls

Before drilling, make sure that there are no gas, water or power lines located at the drilling spot. Installation may only be done by competent persons. Please pay attention to the condition and material of the wall as the included mounting material is not suitable for all wall types. Please ask an expert for advice concerning suitable screws and dowels. For improper mounting and resulting damages the manufacturer assumes no liability.

Note: the response of each animal to our animal repellent may vary. The development of our devices, methods and application tips are based on experience, testing and feedback from our customers. Therefore the devices are successful in most cases.

6. General Information

• The CE conformity has been declared. All documents are at our office and can be viewed.
- For safety and conformity reasons it is not permitted to rebuild or modify the device and/or use it in any other way than described above. As Gardigo has no control of the correct and appropriate installation and use of the device, the warranty can only be applied to a fully equipped device in prime condition. We assume neither warranty nor liability for damages or following damages related to this product. This applies especially if modifications or repairs have been made by the customer, if the circuitry has been modified or components have been used, other than the original components and/or if the operation of the device has been incorrect, careless or abusive.
- The device may be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use any solvents or detergents.

Do not throw batteries or rechargeable batteries into household waste!

Consumers are legally obligated to return used and rechargeable batteries, whether they contain harmful substances* or not, to designated recycling areas, disposal sites, or stores where batteries/rechargeable batteries can be bought. By doing so, you are fulfilling all legal battery recycling and disposal obligations and are contributing to a better environment. Make sure batteries are completely discharged before disposing!

Environmental protection notice

At the end of its life span this product may not be disposed as normal household waste but must be disposed of at a collecting place for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. The icon on the product, in the manual, or on the packing points to this fact. The materials are recyclable according to their labelling. Through reusing, material recycling, or other forms of utilisation of old devices you make an important contribution to the protection of the environment. Please ask the local administration for the responsible waste disposal centre.
