1. General information

Pests such as mice, rats, ants and silverfish do not belong in living areas or in storage areas such as attics, garages or cellars. Our Dual Mouse and Ant Repeller emits ultrasonic sounds in the frequency range of 30.000 - 65.000 Hz to scare such pests away from these places in an environmentally friendly way. The animals perceive the high tones at first subconsciously, but the sounds become very unpleasant in the long run and the animals look for a quieter and more pleasant habitat. The animals are not scared and the sounds are harmless. Think of your own environment – traps and poison in the living room are harmful for animals or small children. The device continually transmits ultrasonic sound waves through two speakers at an angle of up to 180°. The high-frequency sound constantly wavers between 30000-65000 Hz so that the pests cannot get used to it. The noise is not harmful to the pests. The device brings about the desired effect in a matter of days, depending on the animal.

5. Notes on operation

The Gardigo Dual Mouse and Ant Repeller does not mean that pets cannot be kept, just that they will find it more pleasant to be in other places. They start to stay increasingly often. The device works by emitting alternating ultrasonic sound waves, which, in this frequency range, have an annoying effect on mice, ants and other pests. How well the sound waves are transmitted depends on the spatial conditions. The changing frequencies prevent pests from getting used to the sound waves. When the animals notice that the unpleasant tone continues, they will go elsewhere. This might take a few days to a few weeks. First, you may even notice increased activity, because the animals are driven from their hiding places. When the pests go, they inevitably leave behind their eggs and larvae, which are not affected by the sound waves. They mature, hatch and are also repelled by the Dual Mouse and Ant Repeller. After about 5-6 weeks, all animals, larvae and eggs should be gone. The unit should be continuously used for at least 1 year, so as not to interrupt the effect.

6. Start-up procedure

Do not place the device on carpets, behind furniture, curtains or other objects since these will absorb the sound waves. Connect the charger that is included in delivery to the unit and, only after that, insert the plug into a power outlet (230 V/50 Hz). The Gardigo Dual Mouse and Ant Repeller is now ready for use. This is indicated by the glowing red LED at the front of the device. At the back of the device, you will see a red test button. Keep pressing this button while holding the unit as far away from your ear as possible. Since ultrasonic sound in this frequency range is inaudible by the human ear, you can test the speaker this way and listen to the sound as it is perceived by the pests. When you start using the device, please turn the dial completely to the left and turn it slightly to the right about twice a month. This changes the frequency interval and means that pests cannot get used to it.

Do not place the device on your neighbour's property or in public areas. It should only be used on your own property.

8. Safety instructions

Important: Damage caused by not adhering to the operating instructions is not covered by guarantee. Cardigo accepts no liability whatsoever for any resulting consequent damages.

• Only operate the device at its intended voltage.
• In case of repairs, only use original spare parts, to avoid serious damage.
• Check feed cables and conducting cables connected to the device for breaks or insulation defects. If you find a defect, or there is visible damage do not use the device.
• Repairs or other works, e.g. changing a fuse, etc.may only be carried out by an appropriately trained, skilled person.
• It must be noted that operator or connecting errors lie outside the influence of Gardigo and we cannot accept any liability for resulting damages.
• Always check whether the device is suitable for the respective place where you intend using it.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Electric appliances, packaging material etc. should be kept away from children.

• Dispose packaging and worn out material correctly and in an environmentally friendly way.
• Do only pass on the device including the operation manual.
• Subject to change of design and technical data without notice for the sake of constant product improvement.

9. Safety instructions power adapter

Attention! Please only use the supplied power adapter (manufacturer: Shenzhen Young hope Electronics Technology co., LTD/model number: YHSW-090020M) to power your adapter!

Only plug the power adapter into a suitable and easily accessible power socket. Do not touch the power adapter with wet hands as this could cause an electric shock.

To unplug the power adapter from the power socket, always hold its casing and never pull from the cable. Unplug the power adapter from the mains in the following circumstances:

• In any dangerous situation
- If the power adapter makes an unusual noise or gives off smoke
• Before a storm and/or thunderstorm
• If the power adapter is damaged
- If the power adapter has been exposed to rain, liquids or high levels of humidity
• Before a prolonged absence, e.g. holiday
- When you wish to clean it
- The power adapter consumes electricity even in Standby mode. In order to completely disconnect the device from the mains, the power adapter must be pulled out from the power socket.

Attention! Never cover the power adapter, otherwise there is a risk of fire.

Attention! Do not attempt to open the housing of the power adapter. This could result in potentially fatal electrocution.
