USER MANUAL STARKVIND 605.020.13 IKEA

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved by a person responsible for their safety. Children shall not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Electrical safety

• Do not use a damaged power plug or loose electrical outlet.
• Do not move the product by pulling the power cord.
• To prevent the power cord from being damaged or deformed, do not forcibly bend it or run it under a heavy object.
• If the electrical outlet is wet, carefully unplug the product and allow the electrical outlet to completely dry before subsequent use.
• Do not handle the power plug with a wet hand.
• Do not plug in and unplug the power plug repeatedly.
• Unplug the appliance before repair, inspection or parts replacement.
• Remove any dust or water from the power plug.
• Unplug the appliance if it is not to be used for a long time.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not attempt to repair or modify the power cord.
• This product shall only be used together with the included power supply unit.
• If any part is damaged, the product should not be used.

Installation safety

• The product is only intended for household use under normal operating conditions.
• Do not install the air purifier near a heating device.

• Do not use the product in wet environments or in environments with high humidity, such as the bathroom or in a room with great variations in temperature.

• This product is not a substitute for proper ventilation, regular vacuum cleaning or the functionality of an extractor hood or fan while cooking.
  • Always place and use the product on a dry, stable, even and horizontal surface.

• Leave at least 30 cm of free space around the product.
• Do not use the product in areas where flammable gases or combustible materials are used or stored.
• Do not exert excessive force or subject the product to bumps and bangs.
  • Install the product so that no obstacles around the product block the circulation of air.

Operational safety

• Never place the product in water.
• Do not disassemble, repair or modify the product.
• Unplug the product before you clean it.
• If the air purifier produces a strange noise, burning smell or smoke, immediately remove the power plug from the electrical outlet and call our Customer support.
• Do not spray any flammable materials into the air inlet.
• Do not stick fingers or foreign objects into the air inlet or outlet.
• Replace filters with new ones according to filter replacement cycles. Product performance may otherwise deteriorate.
• Do not push or lean against this product since it may tip over and cause physical injury or product malfunction.
• The product does not remove carbon monoxide (CO) or radon (Rn). It cannot be used as a safety device upon accidents involving combustion processes and hazardous chemicals.

IMPORTANT:

STARKVIND air purifier can be used as a standalone device and also works together with TRÄDFRI Gateway and the IKEA Home smart app.

QUICK GUIDE

If you have an IOS device:

Go to the App Store and download the IKEA Home smart app. The app will take you through the process of adding STARKVIND air purifier to your TRÄDFRI Gateway.

If you have an Android device:

Go to Google Play and download the IKEA Home smart app. The app will take you through the process of adding STARKVIND air purifier to your TRÄDFRI Gateway.

Pairing: Adding STARKVIND air purifier to your TRÅDFRI Gateway.

STARKVIND air purifier E2007:

You will find the pairing button by removing the front cover.

• The range between the gateway and the receiver are measured in open air.
• Different building materials and placement of the units can affect the wireless connectivity range.
• If the app can't connect your air purifier to the gateway, then try to move the air purifier closer to your gateway.

Fan speed control

The fan speed can be regulated between 1 to 5 and Auto mode.

Auto mode

In Auto mode, the product selects the fan speed in accordance with the ambient air quality. The air quality sensor is active and measures PM 2.5 particles when the air purifier is running.

Only in the IKEA Home smart app. Indicators for air quality (PM 2.5):

Green: 0-35 / Good

Amber: 36-85 / OK

Red: 86- / Not good

• Operational temperature: 0^ to 40^ .
  • Humidity when operational: 10 to 60% RH (Recommended operational humidity: 40-60% RH)

When STARKVIND air purifier is connected to the mains for the first time, the LED lights on the control panel light up in succession. When the LED lights stop illuminating, the product is ready to use.

Press the control knob to put it in Auto mode, or

turn to the desired level. Press the knob again to turn it off.

A long press activates the Control lock. It can also be controlled from the app IKEA Home smart.

Care instructions

Unplug the product before cleaning.

To clean the product, wipe with a soft damp cloth.

Use another soft dry cloth to wipe dry.

Vacuum clean the pre-filter regularly.

Note!

Never use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents since these can damage the product.

Cleaning the air quality sensor

Vacuum clean the air quality sensor regularly.

Filter replacement

When replacing the filter, it is essential that the user proceeds as follows:

One LED light illuminated on the control panel indicates that you should check your filters.

Warning!

The power supply cord must be disconnected during filter replacement!

1. Disconnect the power and wait until the fan has stopped.
2. Remove the pre-filter and clean the pre-filter with a vacuum cleaner or with water depending on how dirty it is.
3. Remove filter(s), and handle used filters carefully. Dispose of the filter(s) in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal.
4. Clean the inside, removing all dust and dirt.

5. Insert the new filter(s). (Touch only the frame of the gas filter).

6. Reconnect the power supply cord.

7. When you have replaced a filter, press and hold the RESET button for 3 seconds. The reset initialises the filter replacement cycle counter.

8. Fix the pre-filter in place.

- Wash your hands thoroughly after replacing the filter(s).

Prilikom zamene filtera od ključne je važnosti da korisnik učini sledeće:

Kada svetli jedna LED lampica na komandnoj tabli to označava da je neophodno proveriti filtere.

Kabl za napajanje mora da bude iskopčan tokom postupka zamene filtera!

1. Iskopčajte uređaj sa napajanja i sačekajte dok se ventilator ne zaustavi.
2. Uklonite predfilter i očistite ga usisivačem ili

ga operite u vodi u zavisnosti od toga koliko je zaprljan.

1. Uklonite filter(e) uz pažljivo rukovanje iskorišćenim filterima. Odložite filter(e) u skladu sa lokalnim propisima o odlaganju otpada i zaštiti životne sredine.
2. Očistite unutrašnjost i uklonite prašinu i nečistoće.
3. Postavite novi filter(e). (Dodirujte samo okvir filtera za gas).
4. Ponovo povežite kabl za napajanje.
5. Kada ste obavili zamenu filtera, pritisnite i držite pritisnutim taster RESET u trajanju od 3 sekunde. Na ovaj način se ponovo uspostavlja početna vrednost brojača za interval zamene filtera.
6. Učvrstite predfilter na njegovo mesto.

- Nakon zamene filtera temeljno operite ruke.
