Frequently Asked Questions - GF/100 Gamko

How to set the temperature of the GF/100 freezer?
Use the electronic thermostat XR70CX. To display the setpoint, press and release the SET button immediately. To modify the setpoint, hold the SET button for 3 seconds until the C° icon flashes, then use the arrows to adjust. Wait 10 seconds or press SET to confirm.
What to do if the freezer does not start?
First check the electrical outlet and power supply. Make sure the fuse is not defective and the switch is in the on position. If the problem persists, contact your maintenance service.
How to clean the Gamko GF/100 freezer?
Use water and a mild detergent. Never use abrasive or harsh products. Clean the magnetic seals regularly with a soft cloth. Do not disassemble fixed parts to clean the machine compartment.
What type of refrigerant does this freezer use? Is it dangerous?
The GF/100 uses R600a (isobutane), a flammable natural refrigerant. In case of leakage, ventilate the room, avoid flames, and contact a technician. Contact with the liquid can cause cold burns: rinse with water for 15 minutes and consult a doctor.
Can I use an extension cord?
It is not recommended to use an extension cord. If necessary, have the cable extended by an authorized electrician. The product requires a separate cable for its power supply.
How to replace the door gasket?
Regularly check the condition of the magnetic gasket. If it is cracked or the door no longer closes properly, replace it. To obtain a replacement gasket, contact your maintenance service.
Is it normal for the freezer to make noise?
Some noises are normal (compressor, fan). If the noise becomes excessive, check that the appliance is level and that nothing obstructs ventilation. Contact maintenance service if the noise persists.
How to defrost the GF/100 freezer?
The manual does not specify an automatic procedure. In case of frost accumulation, perform a manual defrost: unplug the appliance, remove the food, leave the door open, and collect the melting water. Never use sharp objects to remove ice.
Where is the rating plate located?
The rating plate is located inside the freezer. It indicates the type number, refrigerant, power consumption, power supply, current, climate class, year of manufacture, and unique registration code.
What to do in case of a power failure?
In case of a power failure, avoid opening the door unnecessarily to maintain the temperature. If the failure lasts, consume perishable food quickly. When power returns, wait for the temperature to stabilize before fully loading the freezer.
