Frequently Asked Questions - MF300 Duronic

How to use the Duronic MF300 milk frother?
Place the base on a stable surface and plug it in. Place the pot on the base, remove the lid, insert the appropriate whisk, pour in milk (max 375 ml for heating, 225 ml for frothing), put the lid back on, and press the switch. The appliance will stop automatically. Then turn off the switch.
What is the difference between the two whisks?
The frothing whisk has a metal coil that creates a creamy foam. The heating/mixing whisk (without coil) is only used to heat and mix milk without foam.
How much milk can I put in to froth?
For frothing, do not exceed 225 ml as the milk expands when frothing. Use the maximum frothing level mark inside the pot.
How much to heat without frothing?
For heating or mixing only, you can put up to 375 ml. Use the heating/mixing whisk and the corresponding maximum level mark.
How to clean the milk frother?
Clean immediately after use. Wash the pot with hot water and dish soap using a soft sponge. Never immerse the base or put it in the dishwasher. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth. Dry all parts before reassembling.
What to do if milk overflows?
Turn off the appliance immediately, unplug it, and clean the overflow with a well-wrung damp cloth. Make sure all parts are dry before reusing. To avoid this, do not exceed the indicated capacities.
Does the frother stop automatically?
Yes, once the milk is heated to the optimal temperature, the frother stops automatically and the indicator light turns off. However, you must press the switch to power it off, otherwise it will restart if you replace the pot.
Can I use plant-based milk or powdered chocolate?
Yes, you can use all types of milk: dairy, nut-based, plant-based, powdered milk, and even hot chocolate powder. However, frothing and heating results may vary depending on the product.
Can I put the container in the microwave or on a stove?
No, the supplied container is not designed for the microwave or stovetop. Only use the supplied electric base to heat milk.
What to do if the device does not turn on?
Check that the appliance is plugged in and the outlet works. Make sure the switch is in the on position. If the indicator light does not turn on, contact Duronic customer service. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

Caution:

Ensure that you do not exceed the recommended maximum capacity stated above as this will result in the milk overflowing from the jug. If this happens, turn off the machine immediately, unplug from the mains socket and clean up the spillage with a damp well-wrung cloth. Ensure all parts are dried.

  1. Place the lid on top of the jug and switch on the frother. The switch will light up and heating/stirring will start.
  2. Once the milk has reached the optimum temperature and finished warming/frothing, the frother will automatically come to a stop and the light on the switch will go off.

Caution:

This does not mean the frother is turned off completely. You must remember to press the power switch into the 'off' position to switch off the frother properly. If you do not, the frother will restart when you place the jug back onto the base unit.
