How to install the LQS01 sensor?

Drill an 8 mm hole at the desired location, insert the infrared sensor and fix it with mounting glue if necessary. Connect the cable to the switching module, then connect the LED strip and power supply. Test the operation before finalizing the installation.

What power supply voltage to use?

The sensor operates with a voltage of 12 to 24 VDC. Make sure your LED strip and power supply are compatible.

What is the detection range?

The detection range is 4 to 20 cm. The ideal distance depends on the reflectivity of the door surface.

Can I use this sensor with 5V LED strips?

No, the sensor is designed for 12V or 24V LED strips only. Using a different voltage may damage the device.

What to do if the LED strip does not turn on when opening the door?

First check the connections and power supply. Make sure the sensor is properly aligned and that the detection distance is respected. Try moving the sensor slightly to optimize infrared reflection.

Is the sensor waterproof?

3. General Guidelines

• Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.

4. Features and specifications

• This compact door sensor will automatically switch on LED lighting in your cabinets or dressing room. Simply mount this flush mount sensor by drilling an 8mm hole in the cabinet. You can easily conceal the electronic control module in a false wall. This will give you a perfectly finished installation.
• This Sensor ensures that your LED strip automatically turns off when the cabinet door is closed and immediately turns on when the door is opened. Save energy and enjoy convenient lighting in your cabinets. See image on page 2

5. Installation

Determine the Mounting Location:

Determine the location where the door sensor should be placed. Generally, it is optimal if the sensor is at a height where it can properly reflect the infrared signal when the door is closed.

Drill the Mounting Hole:

Use the drill to drill a hole at the marked location. Make sure the hole is large enough (8mm) to safely mount the infrared sensor.

Place the Infrared Sensor:

Insert the infrared sensor into the drilled hole and fix it securely with some mounting glue if necessary). Then connect the connecting cable to the switch module.

Mount the LED Strip on the inside of the cabinet in an aluminum profile.

Connect the wiring from the switch module of the infrared sensor to the LED Strip and connect the input of the switch module to an LED power supply. Connection diagram see page 2.

Test Operation:

Close the cabinet door and observe if the infrared sensor reflects the signal. Then open the door to verify that the LED Strip turns on as expected.

Optimize Placement (if necessary):

If the LED Strip does not respond consistently when opening and closing the door, adjust the position of the infrared sensor.

Experiment with minor adjustments until the desired operation is achieved.

Close the cabinet door and check functionality. The LED Strip should now automatically turn on when the door is opened and turn off when the door is
