Before using the appliance for the rst me, peel o any promoonal materials and packaging materials, and check that the cooking plates are clean and free of dust. If necessary, wipe over with a damp cloth. For best results, pour a teaspoon of vegetable oil on to the non-sck plates. Spread over with an absorbent kitchen towel and wipe o any excess oil.

When the appliance is heated for the rst me, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal with many heang appliances. This does not aect the safety of your appliance.

  • Inset the pin plug into the power outlet, you will noce that the ready indicator will go on, indicang that the appliance has begun preheang.
  • Allow the appliance to pre-heat unl the ready indicator goes out. This indicates that the cooking plates have reached the correct temperature for cooking.
  • For best results, lightly spray the cooking plates with a cooking oil spray before using. This will assist in the removal of the donuts aer cooking.
  • Divide mixture into pan holes as per recipes using a jug & spoon or fabric piping bag.
  • Note: Do not use disposable plasc piping bags as these may melt if they come into contact with hot plates.

  • Gently close the lid, ensuring the latch locks in place. Do not slam the lip down as it may cause the mixture to run o the cooking plates.
  • Allow to cook for approximately 3-5 minutes or unl golden.
  • Hint: use a toothpick or skewer to check the progress of the cakes pops. Insert the skewer into the pancake. When the toothpick/skewer is coming out clean, the pancake are ready.
  • To remove the pancake, always use a plasc or wooden spatula. Never use a sharp object or metal, as this will damage the non-sck surface of cooking plates.

CLEANING AND CARE

• Always turn o the power and remove the plug aer and before cleaning.
- The cooking plates are coated with non-sck cooking surface, therefore lile cleaning is required. Simply wipe cooking plates over with a damp cloth.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Do not use abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners.
- Do not place in the dishwasher.
• Before next use, lightly grease the cooking plates for easy removal of cooked pop cakes.

STORAGE

• Always unplug the appliance before storage.
• Always make sure the appliance is cool and dry before string.
• To minimize storage space in your kitchen, the appliance can be stored vercally.

RECIPES

It is both possible to prepare small pancakes as well as poertjes (small Dutch pancakes) in this device. Both dishes require a dierent kind of baer. You can opt for a ready-made pancake mix in various kinds and a ready-made poertjes baer.

Ready-made mix

For the dough, you can use a ready-made dough mix from the supermarket. The dough should then be made according to the descripon on the pack.

Fill a piping bag with the dough and ll all openings in the baking sheet with a blob of dough. Don't overll the openings; the dough will sll raise. Allow the waes to bake for about 3 to 5 minutes in the wae maker.

Making dough yourself

Ingredients

  1. 250 grams of our

  3. 2 large eggs

Put the our and the salt, the eggs and half the milk in a bowl and mix with whisk or mixer unl smooth. Mix the remaining milk and allow the baer. Fill the openings in the lower baking sheet with approximately 1 tablespoon of baer (or a blob when using a piping bag). Bake the pancakes for about 3 to 5 minutes unl golden.

Neutral poertjes

Ingredients

  • 60 grams of baking buer at room temperature
    • 125 grams caster sugar
    • 185 grams self-raising our
  • 2 deciliter milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • Pinch of salt

Mix the buer and the sugar and unl a smooth mix consistency. Then add the eggs. Mix the our with some salt and milk into the baer. Be careful, so that no lumps are created. Fill the openings in the lower baking sheet with approximately 1 tablespoon of baer (or a blob when using a piping bag). Bake the pancakes for about 3 to 5 minutes unl golden.
