INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the product. To ensure the proper use and maintenance of our device, we provide you with this operating manual. Please read the manual carefully before using the device and keep it for future reference. The device is intended for domestic use only and may not be used for industrial or commercial purposes. Read this operating manual carefully and keep it in a safe and easily accessible place. Only use the device as described in this manual. In the event of damage resulting from failure to comply with the guidelines set out in this manual, the warranty shall immediately and automatically become null and void. The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage resulting from failure to comply with the guidelines of this manual, including improper storage, improper use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual. 1.1. The device is intended for domestic use and similar applications only, such as: in employee kitchens, rest and refreshment rooms in shops, ofces and other workplaces, on farms, by guests in hotels, motels and other living areas, boarding houses and guest houses. The product is not intended for commercial use. 1.2. The device is not intended for use in bathrooms or near water. 1.3. The device is not intended for use outdoors. 1.4. Only use the device as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended and may cause re, electric shock or injury. 1.5. The device shall not be used by children under 8 years of age. 1.6. Keep the device and its power cable out of the reach of children under 8 years of age. 1.7. Cleaning and maintenance of the device shall not be carried out by children under 8 years of age. 1.8. Keep packaging elements and protective lms out of the reach of children under 8 years of age. 1.9. The device can be used by children aged 8 years and over, provided that they are under constant supervision of an adult and have received instructions on the safe use of the device and that they understand the risks involved in using the device. 1.10. Cleaning and maintenance of the device can be carried out by children aged 8 years and over, provided they are under constant supervision of an adult. 1.11. The device can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and/or knowledge, provided that they are under constant supervision of a guardian and have received instructions on the safe use of the device and that they understand the risks involved in using the device. 1.12. The device shall only be connected to earthed sockets. 1.13. Before connecting the device, check whether the voltage and frequency of the electrical system correspond to the voltage and frequency indicated on the device’s nameplate. In case of incompatibility, do not connect the device. 1.14. Do not use the device with an extension cable. 1.15. Do not use the device with an external time switch or a separate remote control system. 1.16. Keep the device and its power cable away from damp and slippery surfaces, sources of water and other liquids, sources of heat, and sharp edges. 1.17. Keep the device and its power cable away from exposed light sources (e.g., lit candles). 1.18. Do not place any objects on top of the device. Only accessories that are part of the purchased set or approved by the manufacturer may be placed on the device. 1.19. Place the power cable so that it does not hang over the edge of the worktop or table. 1.20. Ensure that the power cable is positioned in such a way that it is not kinked, bent, crushed or strained, as this can lead to damage. 1.21. Position the power cable so that there is no risk of it being accidentally pulled or tripped over.17

1.22. Do not use the power cable as a carrying handle to move the device. Periodically inspect the power cable, plugs and other parts of the device for damage. If damage is found, discontinue use of the product and contact the Customer Service to replace the defective part. 1.23. Do not wrap the power cable around the body of the device. 1.24. If damage to the power cable is found, discontinue the use of the device immediately. Replacement of the power cable is carried out by the manufacturer or its authorised service. 1.25. When disconnecting the power cable from the socket, grab the power cable plug. Do not disconnect the power cable from the socket by grabbing the cable directly. Before disconnecting the power cable, turn off the device. 1.26. Do not touch or hold the device or its power cable with wet hands. 1.27. Always disconnect the device from the power source during cleaning, maintenance and transport. 1.28. Place the device on a at, heat-resistant surface at least 10 cm away from walls and edges and other objects, especially ammable objects (e.g., curtains). It is not recommended to place the device on painted surfaces. 1.29. Only use the device with the attachments and accessories included or recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use the included attachments and accessories with other devices. 1.30. Do not use the device when it is empty. 1.31. Do not put any metal or foil-covered items into the device. 1.32. Do not use the device without the crumb tray attached. 1.33. Do not toast food from which various ingredients may drip after heating, e.g. coatings, toppings or llings. Food remains of this kind inside the device may constitute a re hazard. 1.34. Do not cover the device during operation. 1.35. Disconnect the device from the power source before attempting to remove toasted food. 1.36. Never move the device while it is running. 1.37. If you notice any damage or malfunction of the device, immediately disconnect the device from the power source and do not use the device until the fault is xed. 1.38. Do not repair the device yourself. Have the device repaired only by an authorised service centre. An authorised service centre is the manufacturer’s after-sales service centre that is authorised to carry out repairs and x all kinds of faults. In case of problems, please return the device to this centre. 1.39. If smoke or re is observed, immediately disconnect the device from the power source. 1.40. Do not place or insert any objects into openings in the device that are not intended for this purpose. 1.41. Take care that no objects fall into the openings of the device, which are not intended for this purpose, and that no liquids enter them. 1.42. Do not use accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer. 1.43. Wait until the device has cooled down before storing it.18

ATTENTION! Before carrying out the actions described in this section, to avoid damage to the equipment and/or personal injury, be sure to read section „1. Safety instructions.” The manufacturer shall not be held liable for damage resulting from the use of the device not in accordance with the manual. Place the device on a at table/worktop, at least 10 cm away from the wall/edges and other objects and make sure that no part is damaged and that the inside of the slots is empty and connect the device to a power source (earthed socket). Place the bread slices inside the bread slots, select a browning level setting (from 1 to 7), lower the lever to its bottom position and lock to start heating. When the heating is nished, the bread slices will pop up. Remove them and do not leave them inside the slots for a long time. CAUTION: the bread is hot when heated, so do not grab it with your bare hands. When you have nished using the toaster, disconnect it from the power source (earthed socket), wait until it has cooled down and clean it according to the procedure described in section 5. Cleaning and maintenance.

3.1. Before rst use Do not open the packaging without due care and attention and using a sharp knife or other sharp objects, as this may damage the device. Remove all parts of the device and the operating manual from the box, remove the protective lms and then check that the contents of the package are complete and that the individual parts are not damaged. If you notice any irregularities, do not use the damaged parts and contact the service centre. Important: Before using, follow the instructions below - Remove all packaging and protection elements from the toaster and keep or dispose of them safely in accordance with local recycling regulations. Keep plastic packaging materials out of the reach of children. - Unwind the power cable to its full length and inspect it for damage. Do not use the device if the device or its power cable is damaged or not functioning properly. In case of damage, contact the Customer Service for advice on the inspection, repair or return of the damaged product. - Keep the operating manual and proof of purchase of the product for future reference. - Before using the toaster for the rst time, run it without bread for one full toasting cycle at browning level 7. As with all devices with electric heating elements, the toaster emits a characteristic smell when rst turned on. It is a natural effect and is not a cause for concern.19

3.2. Toaster operation - Place the bread slices in the slots. - Press the lever until it locks - the toaster is now turned on. - As you turn the dial, the respective lamps will indicate the selected browning level. The numbers from 1 to 7 indicate the level of browning, with 1 indicating light browning and 7 indicating very strong browning. - A countdown timer will start. It is indicated by the lamps around the dial. The dial itself will not mechanically rotate during toasting. (Note that you can also turn the dial rst and then press the toaster lever). - After the set time, the bread slices will pop up automatically. The toaster lever will return to the upper position and the heating element will turn off. Hot surface! The body and metal parts in the slots heat up and are very hot during operation. 3.3. Reheating function The device features a function for reheating cold toast. To use it, press the toaster lever and press the ‚Reheat’ button. The button will light up and the toaster will run for 35 seconds. The toasts will pop up automatically. Please note that the browning level adjustment dial will not work in reheating mode. 3.4. Defrost function The defrost function adjusts the toasting time of frozen bread to take into account the lower initial temperature. To use this function, press the toaster lever and press the defrost button, then turn the browning dial to the desired level from 1-7. 3.5. Using the „Stop” button If you want to cancel the toasting process, press the „Stop” button.20

Always disconnect the toaster from the power socket and let it cool down before cleaning. Never submerge the device and cable in water or any other liquid and never rinse with water or detergent! 5.1. Cleaning the toaster - Once the device has cooled completely, lightly tap the sides of the body to remove any crumbs in the toaster chamber. Slide out the crumb tray to detach it from the main device. Empty the tray and put it back in. - Use a soft, moist cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent to wipe the outside of the toaster. Then dry the outside of the toaster using a soft, dry cloth. - To prevent damage to the surface of the toaster, do not use scourers, steel wool (wire brushes), solvents or harsh chemical or alkaline cleaners, as well as pastes for metal parts. - Do not use sharp or pointy objects to clean the inside of the toaster. These can cause damage to the heating element. - Do not insert ngers and metal or foil-covered items into the openings of the toaster. 5.2. Storage - Before storing the unit, clean it according to the attached manual (see section 5. Cleaning and maintenance). - Store the device in a dry, dust-protected place out of the reach of children. - Store the device in its original packaging.22
