ENGLISH IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions. Important:This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and the risks involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised. Never leave the appliance and its cord unsupervised and within reach of children less than 8 years old or irresponsible persons, especially when it is plugged into the wall or when it is cooling down. ❑ Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance. ❑ Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. ❑ From time to time check the appliance for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. In that case, repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician(*). Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician(*) in order to avoid all danger. ❑ Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions. ❑ Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher. ❑ Never use the appliance near hot surfaces. ❑ Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply. ❑ Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment. ❑ Never use accessories which are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance. ❑ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.TKG CKM 1010

❑ Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface. ❑ Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it. ❑ Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance. ❑ The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very high when the appliance is in use. Make sure not to touch these hot parts of the appliance. ❑ Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc. when it is in use, as a fire might occur. ❑ Be careful not to scratch the special coating of the baking plates, as you might get little pieces of this coating into the food. Use a classical wooden spatula or a heat-resistant plastic one. ❑ Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use, especially since it is not equipped with an on-off switch. ❑ Only use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked. ❑ Your appliance must never be switched on through an external timer or any kind of separate remote control system. (*) Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.

We, TKG SRL, hereby confirm that our product meets the requirements of regulation 1275/2008/EC. Admittedly, our product does not dispose of a function to minimize the power consumption, which should according to regulation 1275/2008/EC put the product in off or standby mode after finishing the main function, but this is practically impossible, as it would compromise the main function of the product so strongly, that using the product would no longer be possible! For this reason we always tell the customer in our instruction manual to unplug the appliance immediately after use. When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry. Note : Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful and will disappear after a short time. Therefore, it is recommended to let your appliance work empty for 10 minutes before the first use.

• Prepare the dough (there is some basic recipes in this manual but you can also use other homemade recipes or liquid cake mix AND/OR powdered cake mix).

• The baking plates usually do not need to be oiled, but If you feel the need ot do so, we recommend to lightly brush the baking plates with butter, margarine or cooking oil.

• Pour the dough evenly into the notches of the bottom baking plate. Do not overfill the plates, otherwise the dough will run out on the sides.

• Close the appliance and lock the two halves of the appliance with the locking clip.

• The red light and the green light indicate that the appliance is powered on and heating. The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is reached. During use, this ready light will come on and off regularly to indicate that the thermostat is regulating the appliance's temperature.

• Bake until golden brown (5 to 7 minutes) : the baking times depends on the dough.

• When the cupcakes are ready, remove them with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use any metallic objects to avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the baking plates. Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.

• Unplug the appliance and leave it open to cool down.

• 1.5 teaspoons baking powder Soften the butter to room temperature. Beat the butter and sugar with an electric hand whisk until the mix becomes fluffy. Add the eggs, the flour, the baking powder and the vanilla powder. Keep on whisking until you have a smooth mixture. Bake the mix in your Cupcake Maker. You can vary this recipe by adding some cocoa powder and milk : whisk until you have a smooth chocolate mixture. You can also add ground almonds or hazelnuts. Don’t forget to garnish the baked cupcakes before serving.TKG CKM 1010

• 1.5 teaspoon baking powder

• 80g grated Parmesan Mix flour, baking powder and salt with the eggs, the oil and the buttermilk into a smooth dough. Then add grated Parmesan to taste. Bake in the Cake Bakery for 7 to 10min. This basic dough can be varied with chopped olives, pickled peppers, dried Tomatoes or some mozzarella. Don’t use ingredients with high water content and fry meat and vegetables in a pan before adding it into the dough.

CLEANING Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down.

• Wipe the outside with a slightly damped cloth, ensuring that no water penetrate inside.

• Wipe the inside and the edges of the plate with a paper towel or a soft cloth.

• Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will damage the non-stick coating.

• Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.

In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with the directive.7 TKG CKM 1010
