• This appliance is intended for domestic household use only and should not be used for any other purpose or in any other application, such as for non-domestic use or in a commercial environment.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Regarding the detailed instructions for the safe use of the appliance and the precautions during user maintenance, refer to the section “OPERATION” and “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” on page 42 of the manual.

• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.

• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

• Do not use this device in a bathtub, shower, or water-filled reservoir.

• WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers,38 39 basins or other vessels containing water.

• Burn hazard. Keep appliance out of reach from young children, particularly during use and cool down. When the appliance is connected to the power supply, never leave it unattended. Always place the appliance with the stand, if any, on a heat- resistant, stable flat surface.

• Before you connect the appliance, ensure that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local power voltage.

• Always turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use, or before cleaning.

• Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

• Do not leave the appliance unattended when in operation.

• To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or in any other liquid.

• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not pull, twist, or wrap cord around appliance.

• Do not leave or store the hair straightener near a tub, sink or other place where it will be exposed to water and other liquids or high humidity.

• Be careful heating plate has a high temperature, do not touch it.

• Do not use the hair straighter for any purpose other than its intended use.

• Never block the air openings of the device or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair and the like.

1. Make sure to fill the water tank before using the steam function.

• Remove the water tank from the bottom of the appliance.

• Remove the tank cap. NOTE: DO NOT remove wick from tank as it aids the cool mist.

• Fill the tank with distilled water.

• Re-insert the tank cap and make sure the tank does not leak.

• Attach the water tank back to the appliance until it clicks in place.

2. Wash your hair cleanly with appropriate shampoo.

3. Hair should be dry and free of tangles before using the appliance.

4. Plug the appliance into the mains socket.

5. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn on the appliance.

• The default temperature 180°C will flash.

6. You can repeatedly press + / - to select your desired temperature according

to your hair type and condition.

• During the heat-up time, the temperature indicator light will flash.

7. When the appliance reaches the set temperature, the indicator light will stop

flashing, and your appliance is ready for use.

8. Press and hold the cool mist button for 2 seconds to activate the steam

• The LED on the cool mist button will illuminate.

• To deactivate the steam function, press and hold the cool mist button for 2 seconds and the LED on this button will go out.

9. Use a comb to divide your hair into several strands. Do not put too much hair

10. Place one strand of hair between the straightening plates and press the

handles of the appliance firmly together.

• Clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.

• Ensure all parts are wiped dry with a soft dry cloth.

• Do not let water or any other liquid to enter the appliance.

• Never use abrasive or chemical cleaning agents.

• To lock the appliance, squeeze the plates together, and push the switch to the locked position.

• To unlock the appliance, pull the switch to the unlock position. NOTE: Do not heat the appliance in the locked position.
