How to use the OKOIA HP3040 heating blanket?

Place the blanket flat, plug in the controller, set it to 0, then plug into the mains. Turn the knob to the desired heat level (1, 2 or 3). The device shuts off automatically after 90 minutes. See the full manual for more details.

Can I wash the heating blanket?

Only the removable cover is machine washable at 30 °C (wool or delicate program). The heating pillow itself should only be cleaned with a damp cloth and dried completely before reuse. Never immerse the controller or cable.

What is the duration of the automatic shut-off?

The safety timer turns off the device after 90 minutes of continuous operation. To restart, set the controller to 0, wait 5 seconds, then select the desired heat level.

Can I use the heating blanket for animals?

No, the device is recommended only for human use. It is not suitable for animals.

Is it safe to sleep with the heating blanket on?

It is not recommended to use the device at full power for a long period. For extended use (such as falling asleep), set to a low level (1). The timer cuts off automatically after 90 minutes.

Important instructions. Retain for future use.

This appliance is intended for domestic household use only and should not be used for any other purpose or in any other application, such as for non-domestic use or in a commercial environment.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

The switch or control unit must not be allowed to get wet during washing and that during drying the cord must be positioned to ensure that water does not flow into the switch or control.

When using your appliance, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and/or injury to persons, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Only use the controller provided.
• This appliance is recommended only for human use, not for pets.
• Avoid prolonged use of the appliance at the high setting as this may cause skin burns.

• Do not use the appliance when it is damp or in moist environments. It may only be used again once it is completely dry.
• The controls and leads must not be exposed to any kind of moisture.
• Do not reach or retrieve the appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug the appliance immediately.
• During operation, the switch and lead may not be placed on or under the appliance or covered in any other way whatsoever.
• Do not place any heat sources (e.g. hot water bottles or heating pads) on the appliance.
• Never carry, pull or turn the appliance using the power cable and do not clamp the cable.
• Switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the mains socket when it is not in use.
• In the event of a defect, do not repair the appliance yourself. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified personnel.
• Regularly inspect the supply cord, plug, controller and the heating pillow for any damage. If damage is found, immediately stop use of the appliance.
• If you experience any pain or discomfort while using the appliance, stop using it immediately.

Warning: Before each use, check that the heating pillow is not creased or folded. You must always use the heating pillow with the wrap.

1. Make sure the cable connector is securely attached to the pillow connector by pushing both parts together for a tight fit.
2. Make sure that the controller is in the 0 position.
3. Connect the plug into the closest mains socket.
4. Move the heat setting on the controller to the desired heat level.

- When the heating pillow is in operation, the controller may slightly warm, therefore, ensure that the controller is not covered or placed on the heating pillow while the appliance is switched on.

1. Always ensure that the heat setting is moved to "0" and remove the controller from the mains socket when not in use.

2. Safety Timer: The appliance has a built-in timer and will automatically switch off after 90 minutes.

3. To switch back on the appliance, first set the controller to "0" and wait for about 5 second. Then select the new heat setting.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always unplug and remove the controller from the appliance before cleaning.

The power cable must NEVER come into contact with water. Clean the heating pillow with a damp cloth. Before using the heating pillow, make sure it is completely dry.

Take out the heating pillow from the wrap.

Wash the wrap in warm soapy water and rinse it thoroughly. The wrap may be washed on the WOOL or DELICATES setting of washing machine at a maximum temperature of 30^ C. Hang the wrap to air dry naturally in a horizontal position until completely dry.

Do not expose to direct sunlight.

Maintenance

Examine the appliance regularly to check that there are no signs of wear or damage. If any damage/wear is spotted, do not use

the appliance and seek specialist advice. If the mains lead or controller is damaged, do not open or attempt to repair them as they must be serviced by a qualified person.

Storage

When not in use, allow to cool and dry then fold neatly but not tightly (or roll) in the original packaging without sharp bends in the heating element.

Store where no other objects will be placed upon it in a cool dry place.
