How to use the Wilfa Daily coffee grinder?

Assemble the lid and ground coffee container, fill the bean hopper, select the quantity (2-12 cups) and grind level (17 levels), plug in and press START/STOP. The appliance stops automatically.

Can I adjust the grind while operating?

No, do not adjust the grind setting while operating, as this may block the motor.

How to clean the grinder?

Always unplug before cleaning. Clean removable parts with warm soapy water. Use the provided brush for the interior. Do not immerse the body of the appliance.

What to do if the machine does not work?

Check the electrical connections, ensure the protective cap and ground coffee container are properly installed. Consult the troubleshooting section of the manual.

How to remove the upper burr?

First remove the protective cap by turning the lock counterclockwise and pulling upward. Remove the burr by turning it clockwise and pulling upward.

Can I use cleaning tablets?

Yes, if the burrs are coated with excess powder, the use of coffee grinder cleaning tablets may be necessary.

What is the product warranty?

Wilfa offers a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase for domestic use. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, but not normal wear or misuse.

• Please read this manual carefully before operation and save it for future reference.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not submerge, cord, plug or unit in water or other liquids.
• This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Avoid contact with moving parts.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• Do not use other accessories than recommended by the supplier.

• This appliance is intended for households use only.

• The appliance is designed for indoor use only.

• Always operate the coffee grinder with the lid securely mounted. Never insert fingers or foreign objects into grinding spaces before and under operating the unit.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the surfaces and the inside of the body with a moist cloth. Rinse and dry the cup and lid for ground coffee. Do not wash it the dishwasher.

Note: Never submerge the appliance into water or any other liquid.

USING THE APPLIANCE

1. Start with assemble the lid (9) and Cup for ground coffee (8) place the assembly correctly in the housing.
2. Remove the lid (1) for the upper bean container (4) fill the space with coffeebeans and replace the lid, make sure that the lid sits correctly Note: Do not fill the container above the indicated bean level.
3. Use the quantity selection knob (6) to set the quantity of ground coffee by selecting how many coffee cups (2 – 12 cups) that shall be brewed.
4. Set the grinding quality by adjusting the grind setting selector (7). The grinding quality can be selected from fine to coarse or anything in between (total 12 steps).
5. Connect the appliance to a wall socket.
6. Press START/STOP switch (5) to start grinding.
7. The appliance will stop automatically when the selected quantity is grinded.
8. The appliance can be stop anytime during operation by pressing the START/STOP switch.

Note: Do not adjust the grind setting while the grinder is working failure to do so can cause the grinder motor to jam.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Important: Always disconnect the appliance before cleaning or disassembling. Never submerge the appliance or its electrical parts into water or any other liquid. Do not use detergents or abrasive pads to clean the appliance.

• Clean the lid and the ground coffee holder in warm, soapy water.
  • Over time, color from coffee beans may stain on to plastic detachable parts of the appliance. This is normal and does not affect the performance. They may be cleaned by soaking them in mild bleach (non-abrasive) straight after use.
• To remove the burr, first remove the protection cap by twisting the lock anti clockwise, and pull it up. Remove the burr by twisting it clockwise and pulling it upwards to remove.
• Carefully clean the inside space of the upper bean container using the included cleaning brush afterwards wipe the space with a damp cloth.

• Reinstall the burr and the protection cap.
• Carefully clean the ground coffee dispenser and the body of the appliance using a damp cloth.
• Regular maintenance of your coffee grinder is recommended to preserve optimal performance throughout the product's lifecycle.
• If the knives inside the grinder are heavily covered by coffee bean powder it may be necessary to use coffee grinder cleaning pellets to achieve good cleaning results.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solutions
The appliance does not operate or stops during operation.	Check the electrical connection.
	The protection cap or the coffee container is not installed correctly.
	The ground coffee container or its lid is not correctly attached to each other or the items are not correct placed in the coffee grinder.
The grind selector has stopped to work	Check that the burr is correctly positioned. (See cleaning instructions for more information about removing and replacing of the burr.)
