Frequently Asked Questions - MYTHOS 2 NUOVA SIMONELLI

How to adjust the grind on the MYTHOS 2?
Turn the adjustment knob (4) to the right for a finer grind, to the left for a coarser grind. Each turn corresponds to a burr displacement of 0.4 mm. Adjust with the motor running, gradually, grinding a little coffee every 2 digital notches.
How to program a dose?
Access the main menu via the touchscreen, select My Coffee then the dose (1, 2 or 3). Use the + and - buttons to adjust the weight (gravimetric version) or the time (timed version). Confirm by pressing the confirmation icon.
What to do if the grinder does not dispense coffee?
Check that the bean hopper is full and the internal tab is open. Make sure the portafilter is properly engaged on the fork. If the problem persists, perform a manual purge in the settings menu to remove any residue.
How to clean the dispensing nozzle?
Use a vacuum cleaner and a small brush to remove coffee residues. Be careful not to sharply bend the PET flap, as it is flexible but can be damaged. Do not use water directly on the nozzle.
How often should the burrs be replaced?
Replacement of the burrs is recommended every 100,000 cycles (or 1000 kg of coffee). The flap should be replaced every 50,000 cycles. These operations must be carried out by an authorized technician.
How to adjust the portafilter fork?
Loosen the fork fixing screw (7) with a Phillips screwdriver. Adjust the height according to the portafilter, then check the leveling before tightening the screw. Do not unscrew the screw completely.
How to access the main menu?
On the touchscreen display, press (A) to access the main menu. Icon (B) allows you to return to the previous page. The menus include My Coffee, language, display, counters, settings, alarms and accessories.
How to use the stop&go function?
Enable the stop&go function in the dose menu. During dispensing, the grinder stops at half dose to allow you to tamp the coffee in the filter. Replace the portafilter and press (D) to finish the dose. Note: accuracy may decrease.
What to do in case of an alarm?
Consult the alarm history in the Alarms menu. Press and hold the message to clear the list. In case of a persistent alarm, contact a specialized technician.
