Further, we recommend keeping the Operating Instructions in order to recall the product features in the future. TO ENSURE A HIGH SAFETY LEVEL: The manufacturer cannot be held liable if its appliances are changed in an unauthorised manner and if personal or material damage is incurred as a result of such changes. CAUTION!
- Keep the place of your work clean and tidy. Mess in the place of your work and on the work table increases the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Do not let other persons to the appliance. Keep visitors and bystanders, especially children and physically weak persons, in safe distance from the place of your work.
- Make sure your appliances are stored safely. Keep appliances that are not being used in a dry place, elevated if possible and lock them to make them inaccessible to other persons.
- At all times, use the right appliance for your specific work. Do not use e.g. small appliances or accessory equipment for works that actually need to be performed by big appliances. Use your appliances solely for purposes for which they have been designed. Do not overload your appliance!
- Provide adequate clothing. Clothing must be practical and not affect you in your work.
- Wear protective glasses. Items may get thrown-away and hit you.
- Wear ear protection. Wear personal ear protection, e.g. ear pegs.
- Hand protection. Wear solid gloves. Leather gloves offer good protection. 9• Be careful at all times. Pay attention to what you are doing. Use common sense when working. Do not use any motor appliance when you are tired. You must not work with the appliance when you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or pharmaceuticals negatively affecting the ability to respond.
- Watch out for any damaged parts. Check the appliance before using it. Are any parts damaged? In case of slight damage, please consider seriously whether the appliance would work perfectly and safely.
- Approved parts to be used only. Only identical spare parts to be used for any servicing and repair. For that purpose, contact an authorised service centre. Make sure the moving parts are balanced and adjusted properly. Do parts fit into each other properly? Are any parts damaged? Is everything installed properly? Are all other conditions for perfect working satisfied? Any damaged protective equipment, etc. must be adequately repaired or replaced by authorised persons, unless otherwise explicitly provided in the Operating Instructions. Any defective switches need to be replaced by an authorised service centre. Please contact your local service centre for any scheduled repairs.
- Warning! Use of accessory equipment and extensions not explicitly recommended in these Operating Instructions may result in putting persons and items at risk.
- Do not incline from the place of your work Avoid abnormal body posture. Make sure you are standing safely and keep balance at all times.
- Protect your appliance against moisture and rain. Never use the appliance when raining or in a damp, wet environment.
- Do not switch the appliance on if turned over or not in the working position.
- After using the appliance, unplug it and check whether the appliance is not damaged.
- The system voltage must match the voltage specified on the type label.
- The electric cable must be regularly checked for any signs of damage or aging. The appliance must not be used if the electric cable is not in a perfect state.
- Unplug the appliance before any check, cleaning and work on the appliance and when the appliance is not being used.
- Compare the type label voltage details with the existing supply.
- Make sure that other items do not cause short circuit on the appliance contacts.
- Never put the plug out of socket by the electric cable.
- Persons who are not able to operate the appliance due to their physical, sensory or mental skills or their lack of experience or knowledge must not use the appliance.
- If the appliance or electric cable shows any visible damage, the appliance must not be put into operation.
- If the electric cable of the appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an electrician.
- Repairs of the appliance may only be executed by an electrician. There may be significant risks as a result of unauthorised repairs.
- The sa me regulations apply to the accessory equipment. Güde GmbH & Co. KG will not be held liable for the following damage:
- Damage to the appliance as a result of mechanical influences and overloading.
- Changes to the appliance
- Use for purposes other than those specified in the Operating Instructions.
- All safety instructions need to be necessarily followed to prevent any injuries and damage. Appliance-specific safety instructions Pay attention to what you are doing. Work reasonably. Use the appliance only in an appropriate environment and do not expose it to dampness or humidity. Provide adequate lighting for your work. Switch the appliance immediately off in dangerous situation or when experiencing technical troubles.
Tools and accessory equipment approved by the manufacturer to be used only. Using any not approved parts represents a significant risk of injury.
Children must be supervised to be prevented from playing with the appliance. Never touch the appliance with wet hands Do not overload the appliance. Work within the specified power range at all times.
To prevent injuries, the workpiece must be secured (e.g. by clamping in a vice)! Do not wear any loose clothing or jewels as they could get caught by the moving parts of the appliance and cause serious injuries! A hairnet must necessarily be worn if you have long hair! Wear a breathing mask for any dusty work! Never let the spanner inserted in an unattended appliance! Use as designated The appliance has been designed for dividing, grinding or polishing metals, stones and ceramics. Any other use is strictly prohibited!
Any other use will be considered a use in conflict with the designation. The manufacturer will not be liable for any consequential damage and injuries. Please be sure to know that our appliances have not been designed for industrial purposes.
Safety instructions for operating the appliance
- Appliance to be used with RCD only!
- Risk of life by electric shock!
- Never touch exposed cables with bare hands.
- Make sure the electric cable and plug are dry before putting the appliance into operation.
- Put the appliance in a dry place protected against spraying water.
- Protect the appliance against aggressive fumes and salt or moist air.
- Protect the appliance and cables against rain and moisture.
- Do not put the cables over items with sharp edges.
- Do not lay the cables sharply bent.
- Do not pull the cable.
- Lay the cables in a way to prevent a risk of tripping. 10• Lay the cables in a way to avoid cable damage.
- Provide adequate ventilation.
- Make sure that bystanders keep sufficient safety distance!
- Keep all items that could get damaged as a result of high temperatures out of reach of the appliance when it is being operated.
- Do not use the appliance in an environment with flammable gases, e.g. bilges of boats powered by gasoline or near propane tanks.
- Switch the appliance off after being operated.
- The engine must be cooled well when being operated, which is why the ventilation slots must always be clean.
- (WX 125 #58000 angular grinders only) The closed protection cover must be fitted for dividing. The open cover may be used for rough machining.

Electrical connection The angle grinder has been designed for 230 V~50 Hz AC. To be plugged to outlets with grounding only! Working voltage: Make sure the working voltage specified on the type label matches the voltage of your power supply.
Grinding wheels Never use a wheel that is bigger than the allowed wheel diameter. The allowed wheel revolutions must always be checked before any assembly and use. Revolutions printed on the wheel must necessarily be higher than the idle speed of the angle grinder.
Let the grinder run idle for app. 1 minute before starting your work. Any unbalanced wheel must be immediately replaced! VII) Work proposal/Roughing grinding Keep the wheel at 30° - 40° against the workpiece surface and grind with regular motions. Dividing grinding Do not rotate the angle grinder at the edge level when dividing. The dividing wheel must have a clean cutting edge. To divide hard stones, a diamond dividing wheel is the best option.
Caution! Asbestos materials must not be machines! Caution! Never use dividing wheels for roughing grinding! Carbon brushes Have the carbon brushes checked by an electrician when sparks are produced excessively. Caution! Carbon brushes may only be replaced by an electrician. Gloves and protective glasses to be worn at all times. Slipping, tripping or falling of persons The electric cable and appliance itself may be a reason of tripping. Take appropriate measures, depending on the type of installation (appropriate place, installation, installation place marking, etc.).

Environment protection:
Dispose waste professionally so as not harm the environment. Packing cardboard material may be delivered to collecting centres for recycling.
Any defective and/or disposed electric or electronic devices must be delivered to respective collection centres.
Protect against moisture! Caution – Fragile! This side up! Appliance with protective insulation (protection class II)
Technical specifications:
Guarantee The guarantee exclusively applies to material or manufacturing defects. The original proof of purchase with the purchase date must be submitted when lodging a claim in the guarantee period. The guarantee does not include any unauthorised use, e.g. appliance overloading, violent use, damage by a third party or foreign item. The failure to follow the Operating Instructions and assembly instructions and common wear and tear are not covered by the guarantee either. Emergency procedures For reasons of potential injury, a first aid box according to DIN 13164 must be available on workplace. Replenish immediately material used from the first aid box. If you require assistance, please give the following details: Place of accident Type of accident Number of injured persons Type of injury Administer first aid according to injury and call for qualified medical assistance. Protect injured person against other injuries and keep him/her in rest. Disposal Disposal instructions are illustrated in the form of pictograms on the device or packaging. Description of the pictograms is given in "Identification" chapter. Disposal of transport packaging Packaging protects the device against damage during transport. Packaging materials are usually selected according to their effect on environment and disposal methods and can therefore be recycled. Returning of the packaging back to circulation saves resources and costs for packaging disposal. Parts of the packaging (e.g. foil, styropor) may be dangerous for children. Risk of suffocation! Keep these parts of the packaging out of reach of children and dispose as soon as possible. Operator requirements The operator must carefully read the Operating Instructions before using the appliance. Qualification No special qualification is necessary to use the appliance apart from detailed instructions by an expert. Minimum age The appliance may only be operated by persons over 18 years of age who have been instructed in handling and operating the appliance. Young people between 16 and 18 years of age may only work with the appliance when supervised by an adult. An exception includes youngsters operating the appliance within their professional education to achieve necessary skills under trainer's supervision. Training Using the appliance only requires appropriate instructions by an expert or reading the Operating Instructions. No special training necessary.
12Transport and storage For transport purposes, the appliance must necessarily be secured against falling or turning over When storing the appliance, it is necessary to make sure that the appliance is kept in a dry place inaccessible to children and unauthorised persons. Clean the appliance thoroughly before storing it for a long time. Servicing and treatment Caution - risk of life by electric shock! Unplug the appliance before any cleaning and treatment. Caution - risk of appliance damage! Never clean the appliance under running water or in rinsing water. Do not use aggressive cleaners or hard items for cleaning as they could damage the appliance. Wipe the appliance with a wet cloth from time to time.
The angle grinder itself does not require any special servicing. At regular intervals and every time the appliance is to be started, check the wheel if fitted tightly. Replacing the grinding wheel (pic. IV)
1. Unplug the appliance!
2. Press the lock and let the wheel snap in.
Caution! Press the spindle lock only when the engine and grinding spindle are idle!
3. Open the clamping flange using the attached spanner.
4. Replace the wheel and retighten the clamping flange
5. For grinding and dividing from 3 mm and less, the
