How to install the LEDA303 projector?

Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel. Fix the bracket to the wall using appropriate screws, then connect the power cable to a suitable junction box (not included). Maintain a distance of at least 20 cm from walls/ceilings and 1 m from the illuminated surface. Do not use with a dimmer.

Can I use a dimmer with this projector?

No, the projector is not compatible with a dimmer. Using it with a dimmer could damage the device and void the warranty.

What is the color temperature of the LEDA303?

The color temperature is 6500 K, which corresponds to cold white daylight-like light.

Is the projector waterproof?

Yes, it has an IP65 protection rating, making it completely dust-tight and protected against water jets. Hence, it is perfectly suitable for outdoor use.

How to clean the projector?

Unplug the device before any cleaning. Wipe regularly with a non-linting damp cloth. Do not use alcohol or aggressive solvents, as they could damage the housing or glass.

Can I replace the LED myself?

No, the LED is integrated and not user-replaceable. In case of defect, contact your dealer or a qualified technician. The protective glass can be replaced, but only by a professional.

What is the warranty for the LEDA303?

The warranty is 24 months for consumer use (6 months for professional use). It covers manufacturing and material defects, but not damage caused by incorrect use or normal wear.

Can I use this projector indoors?

Yes, it can be used both indoors and outdoors, but be sure to respect safety distances and do not install it in a location where it might be exposed to water splashes if used indoors.

What safety distance should I maintain?

Maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter between the light output and any illuminated surface. Also, keep at least 20 cm of space between the projector and walls or ceilings to ensure good heat dissipation.

How to adjust the light beam?

To adjust the projector, loosen the hinges of the bracket using a wrench, tilt the lamp to the desired angle, then tighten the hinges. Make sure the orientation is stable before releasing.

2. Safety Instructions

Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.

Touding live wires can cause life-threatening electroshocks. Do not disassemble or open the housing yourself. Have the device repaired by qualified personnel.

This luminaire does not have a built-in device to disconnect it from the electric mains. Make sure to electrically isolate the luminaire before installation or maintenance activities are performed.

DO NOT disassemble or open the cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.

Caution: possibly hazardous optical radiation emitted from this product. Do not look at operating lamp. Eye: injury may result.

Caution: device heats up during use.

Do not use the luminaire with a cracked or broken protective glass. Disconnect in mediately from the mains and have it repaired by a qualified technician.

• Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
• All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
• Only use the device for its intended purpose. All other uses may lead to short circuits, burns, eled roshocks, lamp explosion, crash, etc. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.

• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

6. Installation

Guidelines

• A qualified technician should install and service this device.
• The construction to which the device is attached should be able to support 4 times the weight of the device for one hour without deformation.
• Never stand directly below the device when it is being mounted, removed or serviced. Have a qualified technician check the device once a year and once before you bring it into service.
• Overhead mounting requires extensive experience: calculating workload limits, determining the installation material to be used... Have the material and the device itself checked regularly. Do not attempt to install the device yourself if you lack these qualifications as improper installation may result in serious injuries.
• This device is not suitable for dimming.

• Keep the device at least 20 cm away from ceilings or walls.
• Respect a minimum distance of 1 m between the device's light output and any illuminated surface.

Mounting the lamp

1. This luminaire does not have a built-in device to disconnect it from the electric mains. Make sure to electrically isolate the luminaire before installation or maintenance activities are performed.
2. Use the mounting bracket [1] to determine the location of the mounting holes.
3. Drill the holes and secure the bracket using screws and wall plugs.
4. Connect the power cable to a suitable junction box (not incl.). Make sure the connection is properly earthed. Make sure there is no strain on the cable; leave sufficient slack.
   Warning: if the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his service agent, or a similar qualified person in order to avoid any hazard.
5. To point the lamp in the desired direction: loosen the hinges [2] using a spanner.
6. Tilt the lamp in the desired angle and tighten the hinges.

7. Cleaning and maintenance

• All screws should be tight and free of corrosion.
• The housing, the visible parts, the mounting supports and the installation location (e.g. ceiling, suspension, trussing) should not be deformed, modified or tampered with; e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting supports, do not change the location of the connections...
• Mechanically moving parts must not show any signs of wear and tear.
• The electric power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified technician maintain the device.
• If the protective glass [3] is damaged, disconnect the lamp immediately from the mains. Have it repaired immediately by a qualified technician. Do not use the lamp with a cracked or broken protective glass.

• This luminaire does not have a built-in device to disconnect it from the electric mains. Make sure to electrically isolate the luminaire before installation or maintenance activities are performed.
• Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
• There are no user-serviceable parts.
• Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.

Since its foundation in 1972, Velleman® acquired extensive experience in the electronics world and currently distributes its products in over 85 countries.

All our products fulfil strict quality requirements and legal stipulations in the EU. In order to ensure the quality, our products regularly go through an extra quality check, both by an internal quality department and by specialized external organisations. If, all precautionary measures notwithstanding, problems should occur, please make appeal to our warranty (see guarantee conditions).

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

• All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
• Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.

You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

- Not covered by warranty:

• all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
• consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... (unlimited list);

• Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
• Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
  • Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
• The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
