How to perform an automatic setup of the oscilloscope?
Press the AUTOSET button on the front panel. The oscilloscope automatically adjusts the vertical and horizontal scales and trigger settings to display a stable signal.
Why does my probe display a distorted waveform?
This is often due to incorrect probe compensation. Connect the probe to the PROBE COMP signal (5V/1kHz), then adjust the probe's variable capacitance until a perfect square wave is obtained. Use the vertical menu to set attenuation to 10X.
How to perform a self-calibration?
Disconnect all probes, press UTILITY, select Do Self Cal, and follow the instructions. Wait 20 minutes after power on if the ambient temperature has changed by more than 5°C.
The screen displays a waveform that scrolls without stabilizing. What to do?
Check that the trigger source matches the active input channel. Adjust the trigger level with the TRIGGER LEVEL knob or press SET TO 50%. If the mode is 'Auto', switch to 'Normal' mode to display only triggered signals.
How to measure the frequency of a signal?
Press MEASURE, select the source (CH1 or CH2), then choose Frequency from the measurement type. The value is displayed at the top of the screen.
Can I save the oscilloscope settings?
Yes. Press SAVE/RECALL, choose Settings, select a memory location (0-9) and confirm with Save. The oscilloscope also automatically saves settings when powering off.
How to use the FFT mode?
Press MATH MENU, select FFT, choose the source (CH1 or CH2) and window type (Hanning, Flat Top, or Rectangular). Use the FFT Zoom to enlarge the spectrum. Cursors allow measuring amplitude and frequency.
What is the maximum input voltage?
With a probe in 10X position: 300 Vrms (CAT I/II). In 1X position: 150 Vrms (CAT III). Do not exceed these values to avoid damaging the oscilloscope.
How to capture a single-shot signal (single pulse)?
Press SINGLE SEQ. The oscilloscope prepares to acquire a single event. Once the signal is detected, acquisition stops automatically. Use the appropriate trigger mode (e.g., edge or pulse width).
What to do if the oscilloscope does not power on?
Check the power cord and the mains socket. Ensure the power button is pressed. If nothing happens, contact technical support.
