Frequently Asked Questions - Minipresso NS Wacaco

How to prepare an espresso with the Minipresso NS?

Unscrew the outlet head, insert a Nespresso® capsule, screw back on firmly, add boiling water to the tank, reassemble the body, unlock the piston and pump gently over the cup. The first 8 pumps build pressure, then coffee flows out.

What water should I use?

Use fresh filtered water for best taste. Water must be brought to a boil using an external source (kettle) before pouring into the tank.

Can I use capsules other than Nespresso®?

The Minipresso NS is designed for compatible Nespresso® capsules. Using other types may not work or could damage the device.

How to clean the Minipresso after use?

Rinse the hatched areas (indicated in the manual) under running water to remove coffee residue. For other parts, use a soft, damp cloth. Do not use a dishwasher and avoid getting water in the orange area.

What to do if the piston is stuck?

Do not apply excessive force. Check that the outlet head is properly screwed on and the water tank is correctly in place. If the problem persists, contact Wacaco support.

Can the Minipresso be used with cold water?

No, water must be heated to boiling for proper extraction. Using cold water will not produce espresso.

How to replace the O-rings?

Replacing O-rings is not covered by the warranty. Contact Wacaco support to obtain spare parts and instructions.

Can I put the Minipresso in the microwave?

No, never put the Minipresso in the microwave, oven, on a hot plate, or in the dishwasher. This could damage the device.

How many espressos can I make with one tank?

One tank of approximately 70 ml allows you to prepare a single standard espresso (about 30-40 ml). For a second, refill with hot water.

What should I do if my Minipresso leaks?

Check that the capsule is properly inserted and outlet head is well screwed. If the leak persists, clean the seals and check that they are not damaged. Contact support if necessary.

Unclips the cup.

Unscrew the outlet head.

Place compatible capsule.

Screw back tightly the outlet head in order to pierce the capsule.

Unscrew the water tank.

Add boiling water into the water tank.

Place water tank on level & stable surface.

Screw tightly the main body onto the water tank.

Avoid burning yourself.

Unlock the piston from its travel position by rotating it to the left.

Start pumping slowly above the cup.

The first 8 strokes will fill the capsule of water.
Continue pumping slowly until no more coffee come out.

CLEANING

Clean the hatched areas under running water to remove all remain coffee. For all others areas, wehighly recommend to only use a humid soft cloth. Let the parts dry separately.

WARNING

Sharp cutter inside, only use the provided brush to clean the cutter and the surrounding area.

WARNING

Do not put any Minipresso parts into dishwasher. Do not put water into the orange area.

WARRANTY

Wacaco Company Limited warrants the Minipresso against defects that are due to faulty materials or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Purchase receipt must be kept as a reference for warranty to be valid (you are suggested to take photocopy of your purchase receipt for long time storage). This warranty is not transferable and does not entitle to compensation in cash. Wacaco Company Limited disclaims all responsibility for incidental or consequential damages caused by use of this appliance. This warranty does not cover:

• Damage resulting from improper use, abuse, neglect, commercial use or any other use of this appliance not found in this printed manual.
• The replacement of the o-rings.
• Damage of an aesthetic nature, damage due to corrosion or gradual deterioration.

Any disassembly or repairs done by unauthorized persons will void the warranty.

For any repair or exchange, the cost of return is at your expense.
