How to assemble the OTF 153W fan?

The fan comes in several parts. Attach the motor housing to the base using the thumbscrew. Never plug in the device until it is fully assembled. Refer to the Assembly and mounting section of the manual.

What speeds are available?

The fan has two speeds: position I for low speed and position II for high speed. Turn the knob to O to turn off.

How to clean the fan?

Unplug the device and let it cool down. Remove the front grille by loosening the thumbscrew. Clean the blades and grille with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Never immerse the motor in water. Dry all parts before reassembling.

Can I use the fan outdoors?

No, this fan is designed for indoor domestic use only. Do not use it in a humid environment or outdoors.

How to adjust the fan tilt?

Use the thumbscrew to secure the motor housing at the desired angle. Make sure the device is turned off and unplugged before any adjustment.

The fan makes noise, is this normal?

The maximum sound level is 47.7 dB(A), which is normal for a fan of this size. If the noise is excessive, check that the blades are not obstructed and that the grille is properly secured.

What to do if the fan does not start?

Check the power outlet and that the cord is not damaged. Make sure the knob is set to I or II. If the problem persists, contact an authorized after-sales service. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

How to maintain the fan in the long term?

13. The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.

14. Only unplug from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.

15. Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.

16. Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.

17. Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE

• Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. It is recommended to keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please observe applicable legal provisions. Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal, contact your local waste management center.
• Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately.
  • After unpacking, please refer to chapter Cleaning and care.

INSTALLATION

1 Use the thumb screw to attach the motor housing at the desired angle.

Caution

• The product may only be connected to the mains once it has been completely assembled.
- The appliance must not be disassembled during operation, general care, cleaning and user maintenance.
- The product may never be operated without the stand or in a horizontal position.

Note

Switch off and disconnect the product before adjusting the angle.

OPERATION

2 Plug in the product.
3 To switch the appliance on, turn selector to II (high speed) or I (low speed). To switch it off, turn selector to O.
4 Unplug if it is not used for some time.

Caution

• The guard must be completely closed when operating the product.
- During operation, do not put fingers or other objects in the guard.

CLEANING AND CARE

• Warning! Before cleaning, always let the product come to a complete stop and disconnect it from the mains.
• Use a soft piece of cloth for cleaning. If the dirt or contamination proves hard to remove, use mild detergent.
• Do not use solvents or abrasives, metal utensils or hard brushes for cleaning.
• Do not immerse the fan in water or other liquid. Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan motor housing.
  • Dry all parts thoroughly before storage.
  • Store the appliance in a cool, dry and clean place, out of the reach of children and pets.

5 Loosen the screw and snap out the front guard.

6 Use a soft piece of cloth for cleaning. If the dirt or contamination proves hard to remove, use mild detergent.
