How to install the WST faucet?

Installation must be carried out by a qualified installer. Attach the mixer using the seal, clamping sleeve and nut. Connect the short hose to the cold water supply and the long hoses (marked blue and red) to the hot water cylinder. Ensure the hoses are not kinked and observe the maximum flow rates.

What is the difference between WST and WUT?

The WST model is designed for a washbasin, while the WUT is intended for a kitchen sink. The WUT comes with a plastic part to stabilise the mixer on the sink and has a greater flow height (190 mm compared to 135 mm for the WST).

How to adjust the water temperature?

Turn the temperature control handle (located on the left) to adjust the temperature. The outlet temperature can exceed 60 °C; be careful as above 43 °C there is a risk of burns.

What to do if the flow rate is too low?

Check that the flow limiter is not blocked or remove it if your installation allows. Also ensure the supply pressure is sufficient (max. 1 MPa). If the flow rate is too high, the supplied flow limiter can be installed to reduce it to 5 l/min.

How to descale the flow regulator?

Unscrew the flow regulator from the spout, then soak it in white vinegar or a mild descaler. Rinse thoroughly with clean water before reassembling. Do not use abrasive products.

Can I use this faucet with a pressurised water heater?

No, this faucet is designed only for open-vented (unpressurised) hot water cylinders. Use on a pressurised system could damage the cylinder and cause leaks.

What is the maximum admissible pressure?

The maximum admissible pressure is 1 MPa (10 bar). If your mains pressure exceeds this value, an additional pressure reducer must be installed.

How to clean the faucet?

Simply use a damp cloth to clean the appliance. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents or solvents that could damage the chrome-plated surface.

Is the faucet guaranteed?

Warranty conditions vary by country. In Germany, the warranty conditions apply; elsewhere, the local subsidiary is authorised to grant a warranty. Consult your dealer for more details.

What does 'open-vented' mean?

Open-vented means that water does not remain under pressure in the faucet. The hot water cylinder is open to the air, allowing water expansion. During heating, a small amount of water drips from the outlet.

2. Safety

2.1 Intended use

This product is intended for operation with an open vented (non-pressurised) undersink water heater.

• WST for washbasins
• WUT for kitchen sinks

This product is designed for domestic use. It can be used safely by untrained persons. The appliance can also be used in a non-domestic environment, e.g. in a small business, as long as it is used in the same way.

Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed inappropriate. Observation of these instructions is also part of the correct use of this appliance.

3. Operation

Note

When the water in the water heater is being heated, expansion water will drip from the outlet.

With non-pressurised water heaters with anti-drip function, the expansion water remains inside the water heater.

4. Cleaning and care

▶ Never use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. A damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning and caring for the product.
▶ For descaling, remove the aerator from the fitting.

WARNING Burns

During operation, the tap can reach temperatures in excess of 60 °C.

Material damage

Scale build-up can block the outlet and thus subject the water heater to pressure.

▶ Never block the spout, and use only aerators for non-pressurised taps, otherwise the water heater could be damaged.

7. Installation

▶ Secure the tap with gasket, spring sleeve and mating fitting.
▶ WUT: Use the moulded plastic fitting to secure the tap in the kitchen sink.
▶ Fasten the spout to the tap body.

7.1 Water connection

Material damage

With non-pressurised water heaters, observe the maximum permissible flow rate when the tap is fully open (see chapter "Specification / Data table").

▶ If the flow rate is exceeded, install the supplied butterfly valve in the cold water line.

Material damage

The water heater can leak.

▶ Never subject the water heater to water pressure.
▶ Do not interchange the connection hoses.

Note

Ensure that the connection hoses are not kinked or under tension during installation.

▶ Connect the short connection hose to the angle valve of the cold water supply line.
- Connect the long connection hose marked blue to the "Cold water inlet" connection on the water heater.
- Connect the long connection hose marked red to the "DHW outlet" connection on the water heater.

8. Commissioning

▶ Thoroughly flush the cold water supply line.
▶ Filling the water heater: Turn the temperature adjusting tap head to max. temperature (fully anti-clockwise) and open the draw-off valve.
▶ Wait until water flows from the outlet, then switch on the water heater.
