AVR stands for Automatic Voltage Regulation. This function allows the UPS to stabilize the output voltage even if the input voltage fluctuates, thus protecting your connected equipment.

What is the difference between EG-UPS-001 and EG-UPS-002?

The EG-UPS-001 model offers 650 VA (390 W) with a 7 Ah battery, while the EG-UPS-002 (your model) offers 850 VA (510 W) with an 8 Ah battery, providing higher runtime and power.

How to connect the UPS to my computer?

Use the USB port located at the back of the device (only on EG-UPS-002). Connect it to your PC with the provided cable to monitor the UPS status via software (downloadable from the manufacturer's website).

What is the battery runtime?

The runtime varies from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the connected load. For example, with a standard desktop computer (about 150 W), you can expect about 20 minutes.

What to do if the audible alarm sounds?

The audible alarm sounds in case of mains failure or low battery. If it sounds continuously, check if the battery is discharged. In battery mode, an intermittent beep indicates reduced runtime.

Can I plug a laser printer into the UPS?

It is not recommended to plug a laser printer into a UPS because their high consumption and power spikes can overload the inverter. Use a direct wall outlet instead.

How to replace the battery?

The internal battery is replaceable, but the operation must be carried out by an authorized service center for safety reasons. Do not attempt to open it yourself.

Is the UPS wall-mountable?

Yes, the device can be mounted on the wall using the provided brackets. Make sure to secure it firmly and observe the ventilation conditions around the device.

What do the LEDs on the front panel mean?

The receipt must clearly list the date of purchase and the part number, in addition it should be printed. Keep the receipt for the entire warranty period since it is required for all warranty claims. During the warranty period the defective items will be credited, repaired or replaced at the manufacturer's expense. Work carried out under the warranty neither extends the warranty period nor starts a new warranty period. The manufacturer reserves the right to void any warranty claim for damages or defects due to misuse, abuse or external impact (falling down, impact, ingress of water, dust, contamination or break). Wearing parts (e.g. rechargeable batteries) are excluded from the warranty. Upon receipt of the RMA goods, Gembird Europe B.V. reserves the right to choose between replacement of defective goods or issuing a credit note. Op de aankoopbon moeten de aankoopdatum en productomschrijving duidelijk vermeld staan.
