How to set the timer on my Taurus DH243 dehumidifier?

Press the Timer button (e). If the appliance is running, it will turn off after the set delay (1 to 24 hours). If it is off, it will turn on after the delay. Use the Minus (b) and Plus (c) arrows to set the hours.

What to do if the water tank is full?

An indicator light comes on when the tank is full. Turn off the appliance, unplug it, remove the tank (K), empty the water, then replace it correctly before plugging the appliance back in.

How to clean the air filter?

Gently remove the filter (G) by pulling it. Clean it with a vacuum or with clean water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling. Do not use a dishwasher. It is recommended to clean the filter every 1 to 2 weeks.

What do the different colors of the light correspond to?

The light (D) indicates the humidity level: Red for humidity >70%, Orange for humidity >60%, Green for humidity <60%.

How to use the continuous drainage function?

Connect a 10 mm diameter tube (not included) to the drain outlet (J) at the back of the appliance. Make sure the tube is directed downwards to allow water to flow to an external drain.

What to do if the appliance does not turn on?

Check that the appliance is plugged in and that the outlet works. If the full tank indicator is on, empty the tank and replace it correctly. Disable the timer if it is activated. If the problem persists, contact an authorized technical service.

How to change the operating mode?

Use the Mode button (d) to select from the modes: Smart (smart, humidity at 55%), High (high speed), Low (low speed) and Fan (fan).

Can the dehumidifier be used in a child's room?

Yes, but only under supervision of an adult. Children under 8 years old must not use the appliance. Ensure that children do not play with the appliance and do not perform cleaning operations without supervision.

How often should I replace the charcoal filter?

It is recommended to change the charcoal filter every 3 months to ensure optimal performance.

What to do if the appliance is noisy?

Make sure the appliance is placed on a flat and stable surface without vibrations. Clean the air filter if it is dirty. Check that nothing is obstructing the appliance. If the noise persists, consult an authorized technical service.

SAFETY ADVICE AND WARNINGS

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

- This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised.

- Install the appliance in accordance with national wiring regulations.

- Leave a space of 20 cm between walls or other obstacles and the appliance. Do not cover

or obstruct the sides of the appliance, leaving at least 20 cm space around the appliance.

- If the mains connection is damaged, it must be replaced. Take the appliance to an authorized service centre. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair it yourself as it may be dangerous.

- This appliance is intended for household use only, not for professional or industrial use.

• Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the voltage on the rating plate.
• Connect the appliance to a socket that can supply a minimum of 16 amperes.
• The appliance's plug must fit into the mains socket properly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors.
• Do not force the power cord. Never use the power cord to lift up, carry or unplug the appliance.
• Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
• Do not allow the power cord to come into contact with the appliance's hot surfaces.
• Check the condition of the electrical connection cable. Damaged or entangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.

USE AND CARE:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

BEFORE USE:

- Make sure that all products' packaging has been removed.

USE:

• Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in.
• Connect the appliance to the mains.
• Guide the appliance to direct the flow of air in the desired direction.
• Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off switch (i).

• (d) Seleccionar la función deseada.
• SMART: Smart function. This function is by default the first time the appliance is switch on. It maintains the ideal domestic environment humidity of 55%.
• HIGH: "high speed" function. The compressor will work until desired humidity is measured. Modify the humidity level through buttons (b) and (c).
• LOW: "low speed" function. The compressor will work until desired humidity is measured. Modify the humidity level through buttons (b) and (c).
• FAN: fan function

- (a) When the appliance starts, the lamp will turn on automatically. The lamp color will change according to the humidity conditions.

• Red: (Humidity level >70%)
• Orange: (70%> humidity level >60%)
• Green: (humidity level <60%)

- (f) There are 3 different oscillation types: 45 fixed degrees, 90 fixed degrees and 90 oscillant degrees.

- (g) Sterilization function that eliminates germs, bacteria and improves air quality.

Select the humidity level desired.

The humidity level by default is 55%.

Timer function. There are different pro-

grams to set up the timer:

• If the timer setting is performed when the appliance is in working status, it will switch off after the desired time (1-24 hours). Press the arrows to set the hours.
• If the timer setting is performed when the appliance is off, it will switch on after the desired time (1-24 hours). Press the arrows to set the hours.

- The appliance will defrost automatically as programmed once the sensor detects temperature very low. Once defrosting finishes, the appliance will recover to previous running mode.

- If the water tank is full, the indicator light comes on and flash.

• The ionization function can refresh the air while killing viruses, dust mites, mould and airborne allergens.
• Carbon filter: Take out the carbon filter from bag and insert in on the filter. It is suggested to change the carbon filter every 3 months.

• CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE OPERATION
• The appliance has a drainage port that allows you to have continuous drainage.
• Connect a 10mm diameter pipe (not included in the product) with the drainage port located on back part of the unit.
• Ensure the hose is directed downwards, allowing water to flow to an external drain.

ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE APPLIANCE:

• Turn the appliance off, using the on/off switch (i).
• Unplug the appliance from the mains.
• Remove the water from the water tank.
• Clean the appliance.

CARRY HANDLE/S:

- This appliance has a handle on the upper part of the body, which facilitates comfortable transportation (B).

SAFETY THERMAL PROTECTOR:

- The appliance has a safety device, which pro-

tects the appliance from overheating.

- If the appliance turns itself off and does not switch itself on again, disconnect it from the mains supply, and wait for approximately 15 minutes before reconnecting. If the machine does not start again seek authorised technical assistance.

CLEANING

• Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
• Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
• Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
• Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.
• Dry all parts before its assembly and storage.

CLEANING THE AIR FILTER:

• When used regularly, the filter may become clogged with dust and particles. Therefore, the filter should be cleaned every one or two weeks.
• Remove the filter by pulling it out carefully.
• Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or with water.
• Let it dry completely and re-install it on your device. Do not wash the filter in the dishwasher.

ANOMALIES AND REPAIR

• Take the appliance to an authorised technical support service if product is damaged or other problems arise. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance yourself as this may be dangerous.
• If any anomaly is detected, check the following table:
