- The device is intended for blending, stirring, grinding, puréeing and chopping food such as fruit, vegetables, hard cheese, nuts or herbs. The device is also suitable for whipping cream. The food being mixed can stored in the blending container.
- The device is not suitable for crushing ice cubes.
- The device is intended for domestic, not commercial use.
- Only use the device as described in this instruction manual. Any other use is deemed improper.
- Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear. The device and its mains cable must be kept away from children. ■ This device may be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities or who lack experience and/or knowl- edge if they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely and have understood risks arising from using the device. ■ Children may not play with the device. ■ CAUTION! The blades are sharp! Handle the blade adapter with care in order to prevent cut injuries. ■ If the device is not supervised, before assembling, disassem- bling and cleaning the device, it must always be disconnected from the mains. ■ Do not make any changes to the device. If the device is dam- aged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or customer ser- vice department or a similarly qualifi ed person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards. ■ Do not make any changes to the device. The device must not be used if the motor unit, the accessories, the mains cable or plug exhibit visible damages. Do not attempt to repair the device or replace the cable and/or plug yourself. Only have the device, cable and plug repaired by a qualifi ed workshop! In the event of damage, promptly contact the customer service department. ■ Note the cleaning instructions in the “Cleaning and storage” chapter! Dangers of Injury ■ Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and ani- mals. ■ Burn hazard! Never fi ll the device with hot food or liquids! The content must not be warmer than 50 °C. ■ Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others may be- come caught and pull the device down.EN 14 Danger of Electric Shock ■ Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not operate the device in rooms with high humidity. ■ Never immerse the motor unit, mains cable or mains plug in water or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet. ■ Should the motor unit fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains pow- er! Have the device checked in a specialist workshop before using it again. ■ Never touch the device, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands when these com- ponents are connected to the mains power. ■ Only connect the device to a properly installed plug socket. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device. ■ The device must be switched off when inserting or removing the mains plug. ■ Remove the mains plug if a fault occurs during operation or before a thunderstorm. ■ Always pull the mains plug and never the cable. ■ Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot surfaces. Danger of Fire ■ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable substances or poisonous and explosive fumes. ■ Do not operate the device on hot surfaces or close to a naked fl ame. ■ Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fi re. Do not insert anything into the ventilation openings of the device and make sure that these do not become clogged. ■ Do not place any highly fl ammable objects such as paper, cardboard or plastic in or on the device. Damage to Materials, Property and the Device ■ Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. The device should only be used when it is fully assembled, undamaged, and in working order! ■ Always place the device on a dry, level and solid base. ■ The device may not be used when it is empty. Do not allow the motor to run when the device is empty. ■ Make sure that the maximum fi lling capacity (mark on the blending containers) is not exceeded! ■ Use the device continuously for no more than 1 minute without stopping to prevent it from overheating. Then, let the device cool off for a short time before using it again. ■ Do not transport the device during use. ■ Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable. ■ Do not drop the device or subject it to heavy impacts.15 EN ■ Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer. ■ Never place heavy objects on the device. ■ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures or wide temperature variations. ■ The motor unit the blade adapters are not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher! ■ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These can damage the surface. ■ Keep the device out of the reach of children and animals in a cool, dry place which is protected from direct sunlight. For Your Health ■ The accessories may contain production residues. To avoid harmful effects to your health, clean them thoroughly before the fi rst use (see the “Cleaning and storage” chapter). ■ Clean the accessories thoroughly immediately after every use to prevent the forma- tion of germs. 1. Unpack all parts and make sure that the product contents are complete (see chapter
“Product contents and device overview”) and check for any damages from transport. If you identify damages to the components, do not use them (!), instead contact our customer service centre.
2. Remove any existing protective foils and stickers from the device.
3. Clean the accessories before fi rst use as there may be some production residue
stuck to them. Follow the instructions in the chapter “Cleaning and storage” to do so.
4. Familiarise yourself with the accessories. Please read the following chapter to this
end. Accessories ATTENTION! ■ Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! Never hold the blade adapters by the blades. Handle the blade adapters with care in order to prevent cut injuries. ■ A gasket is fi tted in the plastic casing of the blade adapter and the To-go lid. This gas- ket ensures that the blending container does not leak. Each time before you use the device, make sure that the gasket is properly inserted in the groove. ■ The storage lid is not suitable for the transportation of liquids! The cross-blade adapter is suitable for whipping and stirring creams as well as for chopping, mincing and puréeing foods like apples, onions or herbs as well as for stirring and blending bever- ages like milk shakes. The fl at-blade adapter is only suitable for grinding hard foods like nuts, Parmesan cheese or coffee beans. Do not process liquids with the fl at-blade adapter! The food being mixed will be processed and stored in the blending container. The large blending container is suita- ble for servings up to 700 ml, the small blending container for servings up to 350 ml. The blending containers can be used both with the cross-blade adapter and with the fl at- blade adapter.17 EN The shaker lid, the to-go lid and the storage lid can be used on both the small and large blending container. Please note that only the to-go lid is suitable for the transpor- tation of liquids. Each time before you use the device, make sure that the gasket is properly inserted in the groove. Use ATTENTION! ■ Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! Never hold the blade adapters by the blades. Handle the blade adapters with care in order to prevent cut injuries. ■ Never place the blade adapter without the blending container in the motor unit. ■ Risk of damage due to insuffi cient cooling! Never place the motor unit on a soft base. The vents on the side and bottom of the motor unit must not be covered. ■ Burn hazard! Never fi ll the blending container with boiling hot food or liquids! The content must not be warmer than 50 °C. ■ Make sure that the maximum fi lling capacity (mark on the blending containers) is not exceeded! ■ Always add a small amount of liquid to the blending container if you would like to process frozen fruits or vegetables. ■ Before you use the device, make sure that all parts of the device are properly seated. ■ Do not leave the device unattended when in operation. ■ During operation, make sure the device has a stable position. Always fi rmly hold the motor unit with one hand. ■ The device must not be transported when switched on. ■ Use the device continuously for no more than 1 minute without stopping to prevent it from overheating. Then, let the device cool off for a short time before using it again. ■ Always let the blades come to a full stop prior to removing the blending container. ■ Be absolutely sure to store prepared meals in the fridge. Do not consume any spoiled food and only use ingredients whose best before date has not expired yet. ■ The storage lid is not suitable for the transportation of liquids!

blending container (do not exceed the mark in the blending container!).EN 18
3. Select a blade adapter (see chapter “Accessories”) and screw it
onto the blending container in a clockwise direction. NOTICE: A gasket is fi tted in the plastic casing of the blade adapter. This gasket ensures that the blending container does not leak while processing food. Each time before you use the device, make sure that the gasket is properly inserted in the groove.
4. Turn the blending container upside down and place the blade
adapter in the motor unit. The 3 catches on the blending contain- er must be inserted in the corresponding recesses in the motor unit for this.
5. Connect the mains plug to a properly installed, easily accessible
6. To turn the device on, hold the motor unit fi rmly with one hand
and turn the blending container clockwise with the other hand until it locks into place. NOTICE: Use the device continuously for no more than 1 minute without stopping to prevent it from overheating.
7. To switch the device off, turn the blending container counter-
clockwise up to the stop.
8. Wait until the blades have come to a complete stop. Then re-
move the blending container.
9. Turn the blending container over and screw the blade adapter

11. Clean the accessories immediately after each use to prevent the formation of germs
(see chapter “Cleaning and storage”). Do not allow any residual food to dry onto it.19 EN Cleaning and storage ATTENTION! ■ Danger of electrocution! Prior to each cleaning, pull the mains plug out of the socket. ■ Danger of electrocution! Keep the motor unit, mains cord and plug away from water or other liquids! Never touch them with wet hands. ■ The motor unit and the blade adapters are not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher! ■ Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! Be very careful when handling the blade adapter. The cutting blades are extremely sharp. Never touch the blades with your bare hands. When removing, inserting or cleaning the blade adapter, always hold it by the plastic housing. ■ The surfaces could be damaged! Do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners or scouring sponges to clean the device. The blending containers and lids are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.
- Immediately clean the device and accessories after use to prevent the formation of germs:
1. Ensure that the device is disconnected from the mains supply!
2. Clean the accessory parts used (blade adapter, blending container and lid) with
clean, warm water and a small amount of mild detergent. The blending containers and lids can be also cleaned in the dishwasher.
3. If necessary, wipe the motor unit off with a damp cloth. Dry it off with a soft cloth.
4. Let all parts dry completely before reassembling them.
5. Store the device in a clean, dry area that is not accessible to children and animals.
NOTE: The plastic parts may discolour with time. However, this is of no concern with respect to health or the functioning of the device parts. Troubleshooting If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself fi rst. Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself! If you are unable to switch the device on, check the following:
- Is the mains plug properly connected with the socket?
- Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
- Was the fuse for your mains connection triggered?
- Has the blade adapter been correctly screwed onto the blending container?
- Is the blending container correctly fi tted in the motor unit?
