Intended Use

  • This device is suitable for mixing, whisking and kneading food.
  • The device is only suitable for private use, not for commercial use or use similar to home, e.g. in hotels, bed and breakfasts, offices, staff kitchens or similar.
  • The device should only be used as described in these operating instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper. Incorrect operation and incorrect handling may cause faults with the device and cause injury to the user.
  • The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at repair. The same applies to normal wear and tear.

- The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote control system.

  • Never immerse the device and the connection in water or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet. There is a danger of electric shock from water.
    The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when it is left unattended, when it is being assembled or disassembled, and before cleaning.
  • Do not make any modifi cations to the device. Do not replace the connection yourself. If the device or the connection are damaged, they must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service department or a similarly quali ed person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.
    It is essential to follow the instructions in the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter.

  • Use and store the device only in enclosed areas. Do not operate the device in rooms with high humidity.
  • Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power! Have the device checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
  • Never touch the device and the connection with wet hands when it is connected to the mains power.

  • Keep children and animals away from plastic bags and fi Ims. There is a danger of suffocation.
  • Make sure that the connection is always kept out of the reach of small children and animals. There is a danger of strangulation.
    Make sure that the connected connection does not present a trip hazard.
  • Keep clothing, jewellery, hair, hands and other body parts away from the device so that nothing can get caught in rotating device parts. There is a danger of injury due to rotating device parts.
  • Do not use any hot food in the device as it could spurt out during use. There is a danger of scalding.
  • Do not move the device during operation. Ensure suffi cient stability.

WARNING - Danger of Fire

  • Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable or explosive substances.
  • Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material. Do not place any combustible materials (e.g. cardboard, paper or plastic) on or in the device.
  • Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fire.

  • Do not place any objects into the ventilation slots of the device and make sure that no objects block the ventilation slots.

NOTICE - Risk of Damage to Material and Property

The device should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match the rating plate of the device.
The device should only be used if it has been correctly assembled!
- Do not operate the device without food. This might result in the device overheating or damage to the motor.
Unwind the connecting cable fully before connecting up the device.
- Remove the mains plug if a fault occurs during operation. Otherwise always switch off the device first before the mains plug is pulled out of the plug socket.
Always pull the mains plug and never the connecting cable when disconnecting the device from the mains power. Do not pull or carry the device by the connecting cable.
Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. The device should only be used when it is undamaged, and in working order! Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned, fallen or been dropped in water. Have it checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
Always place the device on a dry, even, firm and heat-resistant surface. Never place the device on a soft surface. The ventilation slots on the bottom of the device must not be covered. Otherwise it could overheat and be damaged.
- Do not place the device on or next to heat sources such as hobs or ovens. Keep naked fl ames, e.g. burning candles, away from the device and the connection.
- Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, persistent moisture, direct sunlight or impacts.
- Never place objects on the device or the connection.
- Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible damage.

Inserts:

The dough hooks (4) are suitable for stirring and kneading bread doughs and cake mixtures.

The stirrers (5) are suitable for mixing, stirring and whisking light food or liquids.

Before Initial Use

  1. Remove any possible fims, stickers or transport protection from the device. Never remove the rating plate or any warnings!
  2. Clean the accessories before you first use them as they may have possible production residues on them. To do this, follow the instructions in "Cleaning and Storage".

Setting Up the Device

PLEASE NOTE!

  • Make sure that the connecting cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
    The connecting cable should not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed in order to prevent the device from being pulled down.

  • Place the device with sufficient clear space above it and on all sides on a dry, flat and solid surface. Be aware that there must be sufficient clear space above to allow the mixer head (11) to be flipped up.

  • Make sure that the suction cups (6) stick to the surface correctly.

PLEASE NOTE!

The device must be switched off when the tilting mixer head is being flipped up or down.
- Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket before changing any attachments.
- Make sure that the inserts are not mixed up for use. Only either the dough hooks or the stirrers may be used at any one time.

Mixer head

Before inserting or removing any accessories, the mixer head (11) must be put up: Press the release lever (2) with one hand and at the same time use your other hand to flip up the mixer head.

To flip the mixer head down again, press the release lever again.

Mixing Bowl

Inserting: Place the mixing bowl (9) on the turntable (8). Hold the turntable firmly and rotate the mixing bowl as far as it will go anticlockwise (towards the symbol).

Removing: Hold the turntable firmly and twist the mixing bowl clockwise (towards the symbol) until it is released.

Inserts

Inserting: Note the markings (L and R) on the inserts (4, 5) and the sockets (10). The insert with the marking R goes in the socket with the marking R. The same applies to the insert and socket with the marking L.

Slide the inserts into the corresponding sockets and if necessary, turn them back and forth until they click into place.

Removing: Hold both inserts in place and press the eject button (1). They are pushed out of the device.

Use

PLEASE NOTE!

  • Do not leave the device unattended during operation.
  • Do not overfi ll the mixing bowl (max. 1.5 l). This might result in the device overheating or damage to the motor.
    Never switch on the device if the tilting mixer head has not been fl ipped down!
  • Do not flip up the tilting mixer head while the device is in operation.
  • Do not place any objects or hands in the mixing bowl when the device is in operation.
  • Never fill the device with hot food or liquids! The contents must not be hotter than 50^ . Allow hot food to cool down before processing it any further with the device.
  • Use the device for no more than 3 minutes without interruption to prevent overheating. Allow the device to cool down before using it again.

The device is equipped with overload protection; the device switches off if it is overloaded. In this case, pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and allow the device to cool down for approx. 10 minutes. The device is then ready to be used again.

  1. Place the ingredients in the mixing bowl (9) in accordance with your recipe.
  2. Attach the mixing bowl and the desired inserts (4, 5) to the device and flip down the mixer head (11) (see the "Inserting / Removing Accessories" chapter).
  3. Make sure that the switch for the speed settings (3) is in the OFF position before the device is connected to the mains power in order not to switch the device on accidentally.
  4. The mains plug should be connected to a plug socket.
  5. Switch on the device and set a suitable speed setting using the switch for the speed settings:

OFF Off

1-3 Slow mixing, stirring and kneading
4-6 Fast mixing, stirring and kneading

  1. To get even mixing, stirring and kneading, the bowl can be moved back and forth with the aid of the lever for moving the turntable (7).

  2. To switch off the device, move the switch for the speed settings to the OFF position.

Danger of injury due to rotating device parts! Wait until the inserts have come to a complete standstill before putting up the mixer head.

  1. Remove the mains plug from the plug socket.
  2. Remove the used inserts and the mixing bowl (see "Inserting / Removing Accessories").

Cleaning and Storage

PLEASE NOTE!

Clean the device immediately after every use to prevent the formation of germs.
- Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These may damage the surfaces.

  1. Make sure that the device is disconnected from the mains power!
  2. If you have not already done so, remove the mixing bowl (9) and the used inserts from the device.
  3. Clean the accessories under running water with a little detergent or in the dishwasher.
  4. Clean the basic device with a damp, soft cloth and then dry it.
  5. Allow everything to dry completely before the device is reassembled and / or stored away in a dry, clean place that is out of the reach of children and animals.

Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, first check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the customer service department.
