1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
2. Children shall not play with the appliance.
3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
4. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children
5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
6. Regarding the instructions for cleaning the surfaces which
come in contact with food, please refer to the paragraph “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” of the manual.
7. This appliance is intended to be used in household and
similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.
8. This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of- 3 -
an external timer or separate remote-control system.
9. Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please
check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.
10. If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power
consumption of the appliance, otherwise overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur. There is a potential risk of injuries from tripping over the extension cord. Be careful to avoid dangerous situations.
11. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the
appliance is not in use and before cleaning.
12. Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges
and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
13. Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water
or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!
14. To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do
not pull the power cord.
15. Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove
the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and send it to an authorized service center for repair.
16. Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical
outlet with a wet hand.
17. Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance, or to
repair the appliance yourself. This could cause electric shock.
18. Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
19. This appliance is not designed for commercial use.

2. Clean the heating surfaces with a soft damp cloth then dry them.

4. When first use, the device may give off a slight odor. This is normal and will not last for long.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Put the appliance on a level and heat-resistant surface. Place the drip tray into its place under the plates.
2. Plug the device to an appropriate socket. The red light illuminates to indicate power is connected.
3. Switch the thermostat control knob to “Max” for preheating, and the green lights turn on. After about 3-5
minutes, the appliance has heated up and the green lights will turn off. Now you can begin waffle making.
4. Open the appliance by the handle. Note that the appliance can only be opened when the thermostat
control knob faces upwards.
5. Add some butter onto the grill plates if you like.
6. Pour the prepared batter onto the lower heating surface and distribute it evenly.
7. Hold the upper heating surface at the handle and fully close the waffle machine.
8. Hold both handles and rotate in the direction as indicated by the arrow on the handle. Don’t use force
when rotating as this can damage the handle.
9. You can switch the thermostat control knob to select a desired heating level. The green lights turn on
when the appliance is heating and turn off when the selected heating level is reached.
10. Bake the waffle for approximate 4-6 minutes depending upon the heating level you chose and the degree
of browning required.
11. Rotate the plates back to the position with the thermostat control knob facing upwards, and check the
status of the waffle. If darker waffle required, close up the plates and continue baking until the desired color is achieved.
12. Remove the waffle with a plastic spatula when the waffle is ready. Do not use any metal objects (e.g. knife,
fork etc.) as they will scratch the coating of the heating surface.
13. If you wish to bake more waffles, pour in more batter immediately.
14. When you have finished baking, remove the mains plug from the outlet.
Note! The appliance can only be opened by handle when the thermostat control knob faces upwards. The two green lights turn on and off synchronously when indicating the status. You can put the cooled waffle back into the appliance and select the “KEEP WARM” setting to warm the waffle for eating. Do not open the appliance less than one and a half minutes after you put into the batter. Opening the lid too soon will cause the under-baked waffle to split.- 6 - Ingredients The waffle batter: (minimum 12 waffles)
- 450g self-raising flour
- a pinch of salt Preparation
- Weigh all the ingredients carefully.
- Take two large mixing bowls and separate the eggs, the egg yolks go into the bowl for the batter, the egg whites we stiffen later. (Note: You can also use a food processor with whisk for preparing the batter.)
- Whisk the egg yolks here with a whisk.
- Then add the right amount of milk and fresh yeast to it. Beat with the whisk until the yeast has dissolved.
- Pour the lukewarm water into the batter.
- Sift the flour, then into the mixing bowl, and stir with the whisk until the batter is free of lumps.
- Put the measured quantity of butter in a saucepan. Let it melt on low heat.
- Pour the melted butter to the batter and stir in the meantime with the whisk.
- Beat the egg whites to a stiff foam. Use a clean whisk and make sure that the bowl is degreased with a few drops of lemon juice and a pinch of salt. (Again, you can use a food processor with whisk.)
- Fold in the whipped egg whites into the batter. Do it gently to keep as much air as possible in the batter.
- Finally, sprinkle a pinch of salt in the batter and fold gently one last time.
- Set aside the waffle batter in a warm draft-free spot and leave it for 20 minutes.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. First of all remove the mains plug!
2. Do not commence cleaning until the device has cooled down completely.
3. Remove and clear up the drip tray. The drip tray can be washed in warm soapy water or by a dish-washer.
4. Clean the outside surface and the heating surfaces with a brush or with a soft, damp cloth. Do not run the
water directly onto the baking surfaces.
5. Never use abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects (e.g. scrubbing brush, knife) for cleaning.
6. Caution: Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids. There is a danger to life from electric shock!
