caring for cocoon™

  • Wipe cocoon™ down with a damp sponge.
  • Do not submerse the cocoon™ in water. Let cocoon™ air dry.
  • Do not use any harsh soap, solvents, bleach or detergents which may harm cocoon's materials.
  • Do not wring. Dry cocoon™ thoroughly before storage.
  • Store in a well ventilated space, away from direct sunlight (which can harm and fade fabric), and moisture.
  • Improper care will void any warranties. Do not use cocoon™ if deterioration is detected or suspected.

IMPORTANT: Read the instructions carefully before use and keep them for future reference. Your child's safety may be affected if you do not follow these instructions.

- This product is only suitable for a child who cannot sit up unaided. • Use only on a firm, horizontal level and dry surface. • Do not let other children play unattended near the cocoon™. • Do not use if any part is broken, torn or missing. • Do not leave flexible carrying handles inside the cocoon™. • Use only replacement parts supplied by the manufacturer. • Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat such as electric bar fires, gas fires etc in the vicinity of the cocoon™. • Check the handles and bottom of cocoon™ regularly for signs of damage and wear. • The head of the child in the cocoon™ should never be lower than the body of the child. • No additional mattress shall be added. • When used in a stroller, check that the cocoon's attachment clips are correctly engaged before use.

Failure to follow these warnings and the instructions could result in serious injury or death.

- FALL HAZARD – To help prevent falls, do not use this product when the infant begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached 20lbs, whichever comes first. • SUFFOCATION HAZARD – Infants have suffocated: In gaps between extra padding and side of the cocoon™, and on soft bedding. Use only the intergrated padding provided by manufacturer. NEVER add a pillow, comforter, or another mattress for padding. • To reduce the risk of SIDS, paediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician. • Strings can cause strangulation! Do not suspend strings over the cocoon™ or attach strings to toys. • Do not place items with a string around a child’s neck such as hood strings or pacifier cords.

cord of a blind or curtain and be strangled. • Check this cocoon™ regularly before using it and do not use it if any parts are loose or missing or if there are any signs of damage. Do not substitute parts. Contact the manufacturer if replacement parts or additional instructions are needed. • Children can suffocate on soft bedding. Do not place pillows, comforters, or soft mattresses in this cocoon™. • Use only the mattress supplied by the manufacturer with this cocoon™. Do not add an additional mattress to this cocoon™.
