How to connect the SlimPAR Pro H USB to a DMX controller?

Use a standard DMX cable. Connect the cable to the DMX input of the projector and set the starting address via the DMX menu (6CH, 7CH or 12CH mode). The recommended maximum DMX address is 501 to access all channels.

How to set the DMX address?

Press MENU until DMX is displayed, press ENTER, then use UP/DOWN to select the mode (6CH, 7CH or 12CH) and address (B004 to 512). Confirm with ENTER.

What to do if the LED does not light up?

Check that the device is properly plugged in and that the fuse is not blown. Disconnect, replace the fuse with one of the same type and rating. If the problem persists, contact technical support.

How to use sound-active mode?

In the menu, select Snd (Snd1 or Snd2) and adjust sensitivity via SEnS (u--0-100). The device will react to music via the built-in microphone.

The IR remote does not work. What to do?

Make sure infrared mode is enabled in the menu (SEr set to On). Check that the remote battery is working. The D-Fi USB module disables the IR remote once connected.

Can I use the SlimPAR Pro H USB outdoors?

No, the protection rating is IP20 (indoor use only). Do not expose it to rain or moisture to avoid risk of fire or electric shock.

How to set up master/slave mode?

Connect the projectors in a DMX chain. Set the master projector to standalone mode (automatic program or sound-active) and the slaves to DMX mode with the appropriate address. Refer to the user manual for details.

What to do if the device overheats?

Turn off the device immediately and let it cool down. Ensure the ventilation slots are not obstructed and that the ambient temperature does not exceed 40 °C. Do not operate the device in confined spaces.

How to use the D-Fi USB module?

Connect the D-Fi USB module to the device's USB port. Set the DIP switch to the desired channel, then configure the personality and DMX address via the menu. Caution: only connect D-Fi USB modules, otherwise the device may be damaged.

How to create a custom static color?

In the menu, select U-- and set the values for red (r000-255), green (g000-255), blue (b000-255), amber (A000-255), white (W000-255) and ultraviolet (P000-255) to obtain the desired hue.

To Begin

Unpack your SlimPAR PRO H USB and make sure you have received all parts in good condition. If the box or contents appear damaged, notify the carrier immediately, not Chauvet.

AC Power

This product has an auto-ranging power supply that works with an input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC, 50 / 60Hz

To eliminate wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by unplugging it.

Power Linking

For the maximum number of SlimPAR PRO H USB products that you can power link at each voltage, see the User Manual or the sticker on the product.

Fuse Replacement

1. Disconnect the product from power.
2. Using a flat-head screwdriver, unscrew the fuse holder and pull straight out.
3. Remove the blown fuse from the holder and replace with a fuse of the exact same type and rating.
4. Re-insert the fuse holder and reconnect power.

DMX Linking

The SlimPAR PRO H USB can work with a DMX controller. Instructions for connecting and configuring this product for DMX operation are in the User Manual. If you are not familiar with DMX, download the DMX Primer from www.chauvetdj.com.

Starting Address

To ensure full access to all channels available in each DMX mode, the highest recommended DMX address is 501.

Master/Slave Connection

The SlimPAR PRO H USB uses the DMX data connection for its Master/Slave mode. Information about configuring the SlimPAR PRO H USB for Master/Slave operation is in the User Manual, which is available from the Chauvet website.

IRC-6 (Infrared Remote Control)

The SlimPAR PRO H USB can be operated with the CHAUVET IRC-6. For more information about the IRC-6, download instructions for the IRC-6 or the SlimPAR PRO H USB User Manual from www.chauvetdj.com.

D-Fi USB Connectivity

The SlimPAR PRO H USB is able to become a D-Fi wireless receiver/transmitter with the use of the D-Fi USB from CHAUVET DJ. Simply set the DIP switch D-Fi receiving/transmitting channel, plug it into the USB port then set the product's DMX Personality and DMX Address. Further instructions for connecting and configuring this product for D-Fi USB operation are in the User Manual.

WARNING! DO NOT plug anything other than a D-Fi USB into the USB port. Doing so may cause damage to the product.

Once plugged in, the D-Fi USB will take over the product. Wired DMX and manual display control/menu buttons will be unavailable until you unplug the D-Fi USB. The priority levels are:
