How to set the starting DMX address?

Use the Addr menu and select a value between A001 and A512 using the arrow buttons, then confirm with ENTER.

How to replace the fuse?

Unplug the fixture, then using a flat-head screwdriver, lift the cap of the fuse holder. Replace the blown fuse with a fuse of the same type and amperage, then reassemble.

What are the available DMX modes?

The Intimidator Scan 110 offers two DMX modes: 5-channel mode (5Ch) and 11-channel mode (11Ch). The 11-channel mode provides precise control of pan, tilt, speed, gobo, strobe, dimmer, and motion macros.

How to use master/slave mode?

Connect multiple fixtures in a chain via DMX. Set one fixture as master (show or sound mode) and the others as slave (DMX address set to A001). The master controls the slaves.

Can I use a remote control?

What to do if the fixture stops responding?

To Begin

Unpack your Intimidator Scan 110 and make sure you have received all parts in good condition. If the box or contents appear damaged, notify the carrier immediately, not Chauvet.

AC Power

This product has an auto-ranging power supply that works with an input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.

To eliminate wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by unplugging it.

Power Linking

For the maximum number of Intimidator Scan 110 products that you can power link at each voltage, see the User Manual or the sticker on the product.

Fuse Replacement

1. Disconnect the product from power.
2. Wedge the tip of a flat-head screwdriver into the slot of the fuse holder.
3. Pry the safety cap out of the housing.
4. Remove the blown fuse from the clip on the front of the safety cap and replace with a fuse of the exact same type and rating.
5. Re-insert the fuse holder and reconnect power.

DMX Linking

The Intimidator Scan 110 can work with a DMX controller. Instructions for connecting and configuring this product for DMX operation are in the User Manual. If you are not familiar with DMX, download the DMX Primer from www.chauvetdj.com.

Starting Address

To ensure full access to all channels available in each DMX mode, the highest recommended DMX address is 502.

Master/Slave Connection

The Intimidator Scan 110 uses the DMX data connection for its Master/Slave mode. Information about configuring the Intimidator Scan 110 for Master/Slave operation is in the User Manual, which is available from the Chauvet website.

IRC-6 (Infrared Remote Control)
