How to properly install the Vollrath 40848 pizza oven?

Place the oven on a flat, level surface. Install the four 10 cm legs provided to ensure ventilation compliant with NSF standards. Plug the appliance only into a grounded outlet suitable for the voltage indicated on the nameplate.

Do I need to do a break-in before first use?

Yes. After cleaning, heat the oven to 204°C (400°F) with the door open for 45 min to 1 h, then raise to 260°C (500°F) with the door closed for 2 h. This removes odors from the ceramic plate.

What temperature to use to cook a pizza?

The ideal temperature is between 260°C (500°F) and 301°C (575°F). The pizza is done when the cheese bubbles and the crust is golden brown.

How to clean the ceramic plate?

Never clean the ceramic plate with water. For residues, heat the oven to max temperature for 30 min, let cool, then brush. For stubborn spills, scrape after cooling.

How to remove the oven door for cleaning?

Let the oven cool completely. Open the door, place the hinge locks over the arms, then tilt and lift the door upward. Clean with a damp cloth and soapy water.

A Timer. Timer can be set for 1 - 15 minutes. The timer is not connected to thermostat.

BThermostatControlDial. Usedtosetoradjustthetemperature oftheoven. Thenumbersonthedialcorrespondwiththeoven temperature. The "0" positionisoff.

CPilotLight. Thislight indicates that the oven is heating. Once the set temperature has been reached the light will go out. Equipment will continue to maintain heat and temperature with the light cycles on and off. This light is not a power "on" indicator.
