Frequently Asked Questions - AP40 PRO IDEAL

How to replace the filter of my IDEAL AP40 PRO purifier?
Unplug the device. Place it upside down, unlock the cartridge at the closure element, remove the old filter. Remove the protective film from the new filter, put back the textile cover (if present), then install the cartridge by aligning the three lugs into the recesses and lock it. Replug the device. The replacement indicator resets automatically. Use exclusively original IDEAL filter cartridges (ref. 7310 099).
What to do if the power button flashes orange?
The orange flashing indicates that the filter needs to be replaced. The average filter lifespan is about 1 year. If odors persist or the filter emits an unpleasant smell, replace it sooner. Use only original IDEAL filters.
How to reset the WiFi on the AP40 PRO?
Make sure the device is on and WiFi is enabled. Press and hold the power button, then press and hold the WiFi button until the power button flashes pink. The WiFi is then reset. You can then reconnect the device via the IDEALAIRPRO app.
How to clean the air purifier?
Always unplug the device before cleaning. Clean the housing with a lint-free cloth dampened with soapy water. Clean the pre-filter with a vacuum cleaner. The textile cover can be hand washed (follow the instructions on the label). Do not use solvents, silicone-based products, or flammable aerosols. Avoid getting water inside the device.
What to do if the remote control does not work?
Check that the battery (CR2025) is properly inserted and not depleted. Remove the protective tab if not already done. Point the remote control towards the device's sensor (power button). Avoid obstacles and heat sources. If the problem persists, replace the battery respecting polarity (+/-). The child lock function may also disable the remote control.
How to use silent mode?
Press the power button repeatedly until silent mode is reached (the button glows dimly). This mode reduces noise to a minimum (16.7 dB(A)) and is ideal for a bedroom. To exit silent mode, press the power button again to return to auto mode or select another fan speed.
What does child lock mean and how to activate it?
Child lock blocks the device's power button. Activate it via the remote control (F button) or the app. When active, the power button lights up briefly in red upon attempted use. To deactivate, press the F button again or unplug and replug the device.
Why does the air quality indicator remain red?
Red indicates poor air quality. The sensor may take a few minutes to calibrate after startup or a power outage. If the problem persists, recalibrate the sensor by briefly cutting power. Also ensure the filter is not clogged or saturated. If the air is indeed poor, increase ventilation or open a window.
How to program automatic shut-off?
Use the remote control or the app. Press the program button (E) to select a duration (1h, 2h, 4h, 8h). If the device is running, the shutdown timer activates. If it is off, the startup timer activates. Confirmation is via the app. You can also set a schedule via the IDEALAIRPRO app.
Where to find spare parts and accessories?
Original IDEAL spare parts are available from authorized dealers or at www.ideal.de. Main references: filter cartridge (ref. 7310 099), high-end textile cover (ref. 7310 100). Use only original parts to ensure proper operation and safety of the device.
