Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
☐ Important: This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and the risks involved.
□ Children shall not play with the appliance.
□ Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
□ WARNING: Never use the appliance near water coming from bath, a sink or other container.
☐ To ensure a major security, it is recommended to set up a current flight jump 30 mA in the electric circuit which supplies the bathroom.
□ When using the drying hood in the bathroom, always unplug it when not in use, as the proximity of water could constitute a danger even when the hairdryer is switched off.
□ Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
□ From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance show any signs of damage.
☐ All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician ^(*) .
☐ Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician(*) to avoid any danger.

□ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
☐ Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
□ Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.
☐ Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.
□ Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
□ Always make sure your appliance is not wet and never handle it with wet hands.
☐ Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
☐ Inevitably the air intake grille becomes hot when using the appliance. Make sure the cord does not come into contact with the air intake grille when using the appliance
☐ The air intake openings must never be blocked. However should the air ventilation get blocked, the safety device will stop the appliance immediately. The latter will restart when it has cooled down. You will have to wait a couple of minutes.
☐ Make sure the hair does not come into direct contact with the air intake opening.
(*) Competent qualified electrician: after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.
SPECIAL ATTENTION
Your new appliance is designed with a protective coating around the heating coils. When plugged in and operating for the first time, there may be a little momentary smoking while this coating is initially heated. This presents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the unit. When using for the first time, allow the appliance to continue running until the smoke dissipates. This should last only about 30 seconds.

The hair drying hood has two power settings.
0 - OFF
1 - 180 W
II - 320 W

After checking whether the rubber ring is correctly attached, attach the flexible hood to the bottom of the main unit by attaching the press-stud.
The appliance is now ready for use.
When using the appliance, always let the flexible hood hang down.

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Use a cloth to clean the hair drying hood. Make sure does not become wet. If the air intake opening is dirty, please clean it.
When cleaning or repairing the appliance, we advise you to remove the flexible hood from the main unit. To detach the flexible hood from the main unit, release the press-stud by pulling at the tongue situated next to the
press-stud inside the hood and take the rubber ring off the slot. The textile hood is washable at 30°C.

Unplug the appliance, let it cool down and store it. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Never hang unit by the cord. Never pull at the cord, as this could damage the appliance.
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT – DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU
In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the
implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it free of charge to a municipal collection point performing waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with the directive.
TERMS OF GUARANTEE
For our products, the legal terms concerning claims under guarantee are valid. During the legal period, all material and manufacturing defects are covered. No claims will be accepted for broken accessories, defects resulting from inappropriate use or care, excessive wear due to intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manual, or normal wear and tear. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified or if attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot be held responsible in case of accidents.
If you detect a defect, please contact your vendor or shop and return your complete appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt. Claims under guarantee will only be valid if the receipt or a copy of a repair bill is handed over with the appliance that needs repair.
Or send the appliance cleaned, well packed and with a short, easily readable description of the default as well as the receipt freight prepaid to our customer service in our firm in Bad Blankenburg.
In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but only order the accessory!
Pieces undergoing wear and tear as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!
AFTER THE LEGAL PERIOD OF GUARANTEE
Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified technician or a repair service.
ErP Declaration – Regulation 1275/2008/EC
We, Efbe Elektrogeräte GmbH, hereby confirm that our product meets the requirements of regulation 1275/2008/EC. Admittedly, our product does not dispose of a function to minimize the power consumption, which should according to regulation 1275/2008/EC put the product in off or standby mode after finishing the main function, but this is practically impossible, as it would compromise the main function of the product so strongly, that using the product would no longer be possible!
For this reason we always tell the customer in our instruction manual to unplug the appliance immediately after the use is finished.
